AN: So, I've decided to start updating this every Tuesday (or so). Anyway, Just FYI: this entire story is a mix bag, so you're going to get a different interpretation of the characters since it combines a lot of elements (AnimexMangaxGreek Mythos) .

same disclaimer as ever.

"Please, leave now."

Mamoru had been sitting with Nijiko, who had only woke a few hours ago and had just fallen back into a deep sleep, when Venus came to him. It had only been two days since the confrontation with Serenity and he had taken to avoiding everyone-even the little princess Chibiusa- and kept himself mostly by his daughter's side. This was probably the first time anyone outside of the serving staff that's spoken to him since then.

He looked up at Venus, frowning a little, "How? Wasn't you people that said that we had to wait for the full moon to safely go down to Earth?"

"You do." She told him, though she folded her arms and looked away," But, you can also leave at any time of the month, it's just a lot more riskier."

"And you seem to be under the impression that I would leave while my daughter is still in this condition and in something that isn't hundred percent safe?" Mamoru shook his head, "I rather wait for the full moon."

Venus glared at him, "You can't stay here!" Her voice was low as she noticed the child stirring a bit before settling. "You being here is a problem. It always had been!"

His lips pursed as he shut the book he had been reading and moved off to the side, away from Nijiko, to talk to Venus better. He had a myriad of things he wanted to say but all he could get out was an annoyed tone, "And who was it that brought me here and my daughter? It wasn't me. How is it my fault that you and your team couldn't keep track of a little girl?"

"It doesn't matter, now." Venus's jaw clenched, "It's close to the full moon, you and your daughter should leave and never return."

"Again, I rather wait until it was safe to take her and not a moment before."

Venus shook her head, trying to temper her voice as she hissed, "You being here is causing our queen issues and we can't have that. Not when we worked so hard-"

"Doesn't look like you worked hard enough." Mamoru cast a fugitive glance at his child, " I didn't get anyone in this situation. Usa- Your queen did. You did because you failed in your duties. Don't take it out on me that you failed."

"We did not fail!" That was loud enough to wake the child sleeping behind them.

"Daddy?" The sleep filled voice called from the covers, "Daddy?"

"I'll be there in a moment." Mamoru told her before giving Venus one last look, "If you want to blame someone for all this, why don't you look elsewhere instead of blaming a victim?"

Venus could only watch him as he went to tend to his child before strolling out angrily, more so at herself than at anyone else. She hated that he was right. She hated more that all he did was voice her own thoughts back at her. Either case, she knew they had to leave- one way or another.

"We worked too hard to make a life here." Venus muttered as she stopped by the window that had a perfect view of the Earth. "After Beryl destroyed everything. Not going to lat some guy wreck the thing we cherish the most."

She looked down at her com link and called for Jupiter and Mercury.

Usagi didn't need to know what was going to happen.

Helios waited and watched as night fell in Elysion. The search party eventually returned, but empty handed, frustrating the leader of the group as he did nothing more but stalk by him with Zoisite at his heels.

"No trace of her, anywhere?" Helios asked Nephrite.

Nephrite shook his head, "We'll try in the morning at first light." He glanced back at the woods, "Hopefully then, we'll find her."

After the Shitennou left, Helios looked towards the Maenards, who seemed unusually happy. Then again, they were nearly always so. Helios didn't think much of it until one of them spoke to the other in almost a stage whisper.

"We were close, were we not, sister?"

The other nodded, amused, "Indeed, we were. Very very close."

The first giggled as she clung to her sister's arm and the two brushed by Helios without any thought to him, "It will happen soon."

"Indeed, indeed."

Helios frowned watching the two disappear into the temple. What did they mean by that? Did they know the location of Raina and simply hadn't told anyone? But why?

"What will happen soon?" He found himself muttering, apprehension stirring in him as he found this newer side of them unsettling. "I need to look into this." He headed to the Archives to see what he could find out about them.

There was never much information on when they came to the Temple or if the they were the reason for it. He only knew that each Priest had to take care of them as Elysion was dependent on them in some way.

Glancing around, to make sure he hadn't been followed, Helios went to the painted section of the Temple and waved a hand over the eyes over a pious looking woman- whose name he didn't know either- before a section of the wall moved to reveal a spiral of stairs that went down into darkness. He raised his hand, muttering something under his breath and lights slowly began to appear along the stairs. With that done, Helios walked down the steps, determined to unravel the truth behind the Maenards and whether they could be trusted or not.

"All I have to do is..what?" Raina glanced back at Phobetor then at the tree. "Do I like.. commune or something? Chat it up a bit before taking it out to dinner and all? What do I do?"

Phobetor seemed amused by this, "I can only tell you what I've seen happens. You go up to it and put your hand on it."

"That's it?" Raina sighed a bit shaking her head, "Well it could be worse. Could've had to sacrifice an animal to it or something." Still, she was unnerved by the situation that loomed before her, but then again she had agreed to it didn't she?

As she walked up towards the tree, she reminded herself that she couldn't trust anyone in this place. They all had their own agendas and she wasn't sure what her place was in any of it. It could be that one of them could want her dead. At least, that's the worst case scenario she had in her mind. Then again, if this power was going to help her and her family, it would be best to try, wouldn't it?

She doesn't know, but now stood before the Tree and found it to be a giant in comparison to what she had thought before. Almost like if a Red Wood and a Baobab tree were crossed together and this was the result. It's really at this moment she felt as if she really was insignificant to everything here. Tiny, in comparison to the massive trunk and it's roots, Raina wondered for a brief moment if this is what it felt like to meet a god of sorts.

Worrying her lower lip, she reached out to touch the bark. Though her fingers hesitated for a second at touching it.

I have to do this for them. She pictured the faces of her husband and child before she presses her hand against the bark and was immediately lost.

Jadeite was right in feeling that he should follow Helios. What he found was rather surprising, seeing the priest open a secret passage way in the Archives. Jadeite wondered what the reason was but knew he couldn't linger there for much longer.

Taking note of how Helios got in, Jadeite left to tell the rest of the Shitennou what he had saw. If anything, this could be used to their advantage.

Serenity sighed deeply, brushing Chibiusa's hair as the girl was taking her afternoon nap. She had spent much of her free time in a depressive state because of the incident a day or so ago. Part of her felt devastated and yet another part felt he was absolutely right.

In either case, as she gazed at her sleeping child's face, she realized that avoiding him and the situation wouldn't fix anything. She had done everything from burying the secret with her to avoiding it and him all together but it wouldn't make it go away. And she hated for him to leave in the next few days with such an impression of them- of her.

"I've been stupid, haven't I?" She whispered to the sleeping Chibiusa with something of a sad smile, "It's my fault, even though I don't regret having you, my little rabbit." With a final look at her child, she rose from the bed and left the room.

"I'll make amends somehow." She said to herself walking down the hallway towards his room. "It might not be much..but..it's a start." At least she believed so as she knocked on his door and waited, "Mamoru?"

There was no answer.

Curious, she opened the door and found the room empty. "Maybe he's in the Medical wing?" Serenity closed the door, heading down the hallway to the wing. After all, if he wasn't in his room, surely he'd be with his daughter? Poor thing still was a bit weak but nothing but food and rest and she would be fine. At least that was what Ami had told her.

"Mamoru?" She opened the door to the wing and found it completely empty. Her brows rose and she felt fear snake through her, "Where is he? Even Nijiko is gone..."

She walked away, pondering, then came across Luna who was looking through some paperwork. "Luna? Do you know where any of the others are? I can't find Mamoru or his daughter. I was wondering if they could help."

"I..have no idea where they are, now." Luna's dark brows rose thoughtfully, "However, I did see Mercury heading towards the transport room." She watched the queen strode pass, "I'm not sure if she's still there, though!" Sighing softly, Luna shook her head, "what is going on with them?"

"Are you sure we should be doing this, Minako?" Mercury looked at their friend and leader nervously. "I mean, I don't want Usagi to be upset even more if we do this."

"We're doing it for her." Venus told her as she tucked the sleeping girl against her unconscious father, "With them back where they belong, Usagi will be better and we can all forget this ever happened."

Mars didn't say anything, but she did touch Venus's arm, giving her a look. Venus only looked away, not ready to have this discussion and Mars let her go. If this was what Venus thought was right... Mars was going to support her even though she's not certain if this was crossing a line.

"I think everything is ready." Jupiter told them, but kept her eyes carefully from the platform. She disliked this, immensely, but she would do anything for Usagi's well being. Even if it meant drugging a person she generally liked and considered a friend. "It'll automatically go in a few."

"Good. " Venus turned, "We better get back to our stations. The Ambassador from-"

"What is going on here?"

The four looked up, with varying expressions that ranged from guilty to determined as the queen walked into the room.

Serenity took one look beyond them, gasped, and rushed to Mamoru's side, trying to see if he and Nijiko were alright. She let out a sigh of relief when she realized that they were alive, but merely unconscious. Her lips thinned as she turned to look at her friends and guardians, "What are you doing? What happened to them?"

"Usagi," Mercury began, "we-"

"What?"

Venus stepped forward, "We are doing this for you." She held her head up, staring back at the queen. "He has to leave, for your sake and ours."

"What are you talking about , Minako?" Serenity shook her head, "I don't understand why you've done this and not to mention it's not even the full moon! It's dangerous to travel at this time to earth-especially with a sick a child."

"She's stable enough for that journey." Venus told her defensively, "Ami made sure of it. It's been decided he has to leave for the good of us all. He's just.. just upsetting you by being here and we can't have a ruler that's distracted by..some man from earth! We're not letting our lives get ruined by this man again."

Serenity shook her head, "He has done nothing wrong, Minako. Never had. It's not his fault that..that things ended up the way they did." Her shoulders sagged a little, "Blaming him won't bring back what we lost and it won't change anything. He's got nothing to do with it."

"He had everything to do with it." Mars said quietly, "How the moon kingdom ended was primarily because of his love for you. Our normal lives and our families gone because of him- because of the want of him by the Dark Kingdom. And now, because of him, you..you were blaming yourself for an honest mistake. We can't let this keep going on, Usagi. We had to think of the good of the kingdom, you and ourselves too."

Serenity couldn't even look at them. They had all had a shared loss when the Dark Kingdom came. So many lives...and still.. Serenity breathed out, still believing firmly they were wrong about this.

This was wrong.

"Even so," She said finally looking at them,"we're not our enemies. We can't just do these things because we're afraid of a possibility. It's not his fault. None of it is and we should hold those that were at fault accountable of these things." Her eyes went to Venus as she spoke, "Including myself. I was wrong in what I did, I thought I could make it up to him because it was wrong. Keeping it from him and Chibiusa was also wrong. I can be wrong and I deserve to be called out when I am so I can correct myself rather than just continue on and not knowing! You guys, we're supposed to be protectors for Earth and our new home. We can't be that if we're doing things like this!" She gestured behind her. "So please, lets..stop this and just try to hold those responsible accountable and leave those that have nothing to do with it out of it. And- Hey! What's going on?"

Before they knew it, the bubble of light surrounded Serenity and the unconscious Mamoru and Nijiko. Jupiter rushed to the controls, trying to stop it with Mercury's help.

"It's no use!" Mercury looked over at them, "The transport is going!"

"Damn it!" Venus sent her chain to try and break it, "Break it or something! We have to stop it from leaving!"

"Guys!" Serenity looked down at them as the bubble lifted up, "It'll be ok! Just come-" And with that, they vanished from the room, leaving the Senshi to stand there dumbfounded at what had happened.

After a moment of silence, Mars glanced at Venus, "That was such a great idea, Mina."

"Shut it, Rei."

Raina wasn't sure where she was or what happened. In fact, it felt like the wind was blownig right by her as she tried to wake up more. Everything in her body ached, even her eyes, which felt equally weird.

"Hmm..?" Groaning, she sat up, taking a better look at her surrounding before instantly clinging to the dark mane of the strange animal she was sitting on. "What the hell? Where..? Why are we flying?"

She couldn't believe this, she's ridding a black winged horse. It was almost the polar opposite of that Pegasus animal she's always seen around the Temple but had never approached. Looking down, she could see almost the whole of Elysion, which stretched as far as the eye could see. Raina wasn't even sure how she got on his back or even here to begin with.

"Ugh, this has got to be the weirdest chapter of my life."

" If you say so, mortal woman. I find it quite average." Phobetor told her. " How do you feel? You have been out quite a while since the tree."

"My name is Raina." Her dark green eyes flickered back to the back of the beast's head, "Rai-Na. It's quite simple." Cautiously, she raised a hand and rubbed her temple, "And I feel like I've been run over a few times, otherwise alive. What happened?"

"It would seem the Tree has found you worthy and has given you it's first blessing." He told her, " There will be three more after this."

"Why not in just one shot?" Raina wondered looking down now. For a crazy place, it was still very beautiful, "Where are you taking me?"

" Because it could kill you or your child or both." He answered in a bored tone, " And I am taking you back to the Temple. You are the most safe there and none should know about this."

"Gee, don't sound too broken up." She muttered as the Temple came into view, "Are you sure I'm safe there or is there another reason?"

His hooves stretched out as they landed onto the soft grass, on the edge of the property. He walked a few more feet before stopping to let her off. Shaking his head, he turned, "As safe as anywhere. I will meet with you tomorrow night, here, to take you back. Once it is done, the real task shall begin."

Raina had slid off his back and watched him as he headed away, "Wonderful. I just hope this is going to go the way you explained it."

" It shall. You are one of strong will, I do not doubt our success." He laughed and began to walk away into the woods, "Rest well...Raina."

Long after he was gone, she stood there thinking about it all before turning to head into the temple. As she climbed the steps, she smiled to herself, "He called me Raina. Hm, maybe he isn't that bad?"
