When Raina returned to the temple, she was exhausted and really hungry. However, she didn't think to wake or bother anyone and quietly got herself some food before heading to bed and dropping off to sleep. Her dreams, of course, were not entirely peaceful nor were they particularly disturbing. If anything it was like being in a kaleidoscope filled with colors and shapes. On closer inspection, the shapes were animals and plants of all kinds and shape. Even some that shouldn't be real were shifting and evolving alongside with the others.
When she awoke next, she felt only mildly curious as to what her dream meant but eventually forgot all about it.
Mamoru groaned as he woke up in the bright light of day. The ground was hard, yet he wasn't entirely sure why it was so. Rubbing his eyes, he moved to sit up, only to find something heavy was laying on his chest.
"What?" He finally looked and saw that it was just his daughter. The second thing he noticed was they were on earth again. "We..we're back? How did we get back here?"
He picked up his daughter gently before heading inside the house. He was surprised that the door was unlocked, but figured that maybe Raina left it open and would be back soon. He mentally cringed at the thought of speaking to her because he knew she was going to kill him. Disappearing without a word for weeks with their daughter. Not to mention, he bet she probably put out a missing person's report- she'd be worried to death.
"I'm going to have to make it up to her." He lightly pat his sleeping daughter's back before taking her to her room and laying her down there. "I should clean up and make a special dinner for Mama, shouldn't I?" He chuckled to himself and brushed her hair. That's when he heard it. The shower was going in one of the bathrooms. "Raina?"
He followed the sound, wondering if his wife just woke up. "Raina? Look, I'm sorry that-"
He stopped in his tracks when the water shut off and the door opened from the bathroom to their bedroom, revealing Serenity in a towel.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" She blushed worrying her lower lip, "I..um.."
"How did you get here?" Mamoru turned from her to look outside the window with a slight blush of his own, "And why are you in my shower?"
Serenity took a breath then smiled tentatively, "A..about that. See, the girls knocked you out somehow and were going to transport you and your daughter to earth. I tried to stop them and..sort of got caught up in it." She looked up at him, "But- They didn't mean it badly, they just wanted to help me.."
The incredulous look on his face said everything. "They.. what? " He shook his head, "Know what, never mind. I'm back home with my child. And you- you're going back to the moon and we're all going to forget this happened." He headed to the door before pausing, "Could you.. uh.." Gestures to the current state of undress she was in, "Before my wife gets home? Unless you need some clothing?"
"If you don't mind?" Serenity asked with a hopeful tone, "My clothes don't fit in here and I wouldn't want to cause you any more trouble."
After a long minutes, Mamoru went to the closet and pulled out some clothes, "Raina doesn't wear these any more, you can have them." Still carefully not looking at her he laid out the dress for her on the bed, "We'll talk when you come downstairs."
With that, he left the room and shut the door behind him with a sigh. "Wonderful, how am I going to explain this?"
He turned and headed downstairs when he remembered something. Some of Raina's clothes were gone. Why were they gone? Mamoru didn't want to think the worse, and instead wondered if maybe she went to her family? He should call the Tylers soon. Maybe they knew where she went, or her friend at work?
With that thought in mind, Mamoru went to the kitchen to make a light snack, but found the fridge mostly empty and some food had gone bad, but not all of it. Weird, Raina was a fanatic about moldy food. Something about she was a kid and accidentally ate molded bread. She wouldn't have stood for this. Still, he cleaned the fridge out and made what he could with some crackers and tunafish.
Still, he couldn't shake off the feeling he had. Something happened, but what? Deciding to call her parents, he went to the house phone and picked it up when he had a flash- a vision- of Raina talking to someone? He couldn't quite see it but when it was over, he found himself staring at the phone. He glanced around and moved slowly towards the sofa, hoping that maybe it could give him a clue of some sort. Some traces of what happened there.
"Come on, where is she? Who was she talking to?" He muttered to himself touching the sofa. The Flash he got was brief though he didn't see their faces, he heard their voices. Four men, they were speaking urgently with her- Three words. ..
"Chiba?"
Then it was gone, he couldn't see any further and slowly turned to Serenity, who was now dressed, that wore a worried expression. "Are you alright? You look pale.."
"I..my wife..." Mamoru sat down hard, his head cradled between his hands as he tried to come to terms with what he'd seen, "I think she may have been taken."
Upstairs, Nijiko thrashed around in her sleep, whimpering. Her dreams were tormented by something- a dark shadow that was hunting her through a maze of crates in the back of a circus. Nijiko didn't know how she came to be there but she was desperate to find her Mommy and Daddy. They were here somewhere, at least she believed so, but she couldn't find them anywhere.
Terrified, the child hid behind a stack of crates, fitting into the small space, curling up and covering her mouth so she didn't attack the shadow's attention.
"Where are you, dear child." A crone's voice cooed, "We won't hurt you..."
Nijiko closed her eyes tightly as tears leaked out. 'Please don't find me! Please don't find me!' She thought. Her eyes snapped open, going wide as the footsteps drew closer then stopped. Nijiko didn't even dare to breathe until the footsteps started up again and went further and further away until she couldn't hear them any more.
Once she thought they were gone, she started to cry helplessly.
Who were they? Why were they here? Where were her parents?
"Zirconia!"
"Yes my queen?" Zirconia bowed to Queen Nehellenia. "What is it that you wished?"
The silver eyes with the golden cat-like pupils dilated as her ruby lips twisted in displeasure, "Have you found the child yet?"
"No, my Queen, but she is still here. Rest assured, oh beautiful one, she will be found soon." Zirconia intoned.
"She better be!" Queen Nehellenia frowned even more, "Her boy is weakening and it is not yet time for us to depart it's wretched coils yet. Send some out to gather mirrors that will strengthen her- and thus us."
"At once, my beautiful queen!"
Raina barely listened to the Shitennou as they spoke. It wasn't that they were interesting, it was more so that she wondered why she was so far along as she was now. She was starting to show and in a way she was worried about it. Her hand rested on top of her rounding belly and she couldn't help but think about what would happen now. The Magic she had absorbed should help, but..what if...?
"Lady Raina." Zoisite looked at her annoyed as he shut the book, "If I'm boring you, I'd rather you just say it."
"You're boring me." Raina looked over at the bowl of fruit and picked some off, "No, but I can't concentrate on your lessons today, gentlemen, I'm a bit distracted."
"Would you mind telling us what's on your mind then?" Nephrite asked flipping through another book. "It's got to be more entertaining than looking through these books and scrolls."
"We have to do it." Jadeite sighed, "Whatever Helios was looking for has to be valuable."
"If we knew what it was specifically. Are you sure it was about the Maenads?" Nephrite asked.
"I'm certain of it." Jadeite answered, "Question is why?"
Raina munched thoughtfully on the fruit, "Then why not ask them?"
"What?" The men looked at her.
"Ask them." Raina picked off a grape, "I mean, we're poring over all these books not finding a useful thing here, why don't we just ask them about their history?"
Kunzite looked skeptical, "Do you think they'll be honest about that?"
"Maybe." Raina said, "But then again, what do we have to lose?"
"True.." He mulled it over for a moment, "Very well, you speak to them."
"Me?" She frowned, "Why me?"
"Because you're carrying a potential heir and they seem to like you better." Zoisite told her. "Besides, we need to figure out what Helios is planning. He's been a bit tight-lipped lately around us."
"He probably knows we've decided not to side with him." Kunzite looked thoughtful for a bit, "Very well, we'll just have to find other means to figure out his secrets. In the mean time, I believe, my lady, you have a lunch appointment."
"Lovely." Raina said as she pushed herself up out of the chair, "I'll tell you what I find out."
When she was gone, the men looked to each other but it was Jadeite that said it first, "She's hiding something from us."
"Oh, what was the first clue to that, Jadeite?" Zoisite said sarcastically, "Was it when she showed up the following morning and wouldn't tell us where she's been, or was it the weird aura around her?"
"I'm sure she has her reasons." Nephrite flipped another page in the book, "It's not as if she fully trusts us."
"True, but we can't have unknowns." Kunzite opened another book, but looked at them, "If she leaves the temple, one of you need to follow her and report on her activities."
"Wonderful." Zoisite muttered.
"My Lady?" Helios bowed to the crystal pillar in the Prayer room, "What visions do you wish to bestow?"
" Dear Priest," The woman said, " Please know, I do not give these orders easily. You must prevent that child from being birthed into this world."
Helios shook his head, "How can I? I have wrestled with this for some time and I cannot bring myself to do such a thing." He looked up, his golden eyes filled with his pain at this, "I do not know if I could."
"I know, Priest Helios, I know." The pale pink haired woman told him, her voice grave but gentle, "It is a difficult and heavy burden. I wish I could carry it for you so you would be troubled no further, but I cannot. It is up to you to save this future, Helios. The one that will bring peace and prosperity to Earth."
"My lady..." Helios only bowed his head, but the unease grew in him, "Please, tell me again, why must this child not be born?"
"As I have said before," She sighed," The child will fall to Chaos and become it's vessel in the future. It will grow and eventually turn our future bleak without hope. It is only by the grace of Sailor Cosmos that we remain but I do not believe it will last. Please, Helios, you must prevent it's coming! Billions will die if you do not!"
Helios swallowed thickly, rocking back on his heels. "Billions.." He muttered to himself. What was one life to billions?
But could he do it? Could he really do this?
He didn't know and when it was over he was even more unsure.

"What do you mean your wife was taken?" Serenity asked alarmed, "What..how do you know?"
"I saw it." Mamoru said miserably, "She was speaking to some men and they told her to come with them. Also, her clothes are gone and she would never leave molded food in the fridge." He breathed out, "I have no idea what to do."
"We find her, of course!" Serenity huffed, "But should we call the police?"
Mamoru frowned more to himself, "I don't know. It didn't feel like it was normal."
"Maybe you should-" Serenity stopped, and looked at him, "Do you feel that?"
For a moment, Mamoru looked at her confused but soon realized that the strange tingle in the back of his head was actually there. "Yeah.. what is that?"
Serenity's face set in determined lines as she strode over to the door,"A youma. We have to stop it!"
"A youma? Here?!" Mamoru scrambled up and behind her, "What's a youma doing here?"
"Nothing good, that's for sure!" Serenity frowned a little to herself, "I hope you remember how to fight."
"Same to you." Mamoru said as they stepped out and saw people in the neighborhood that were outside passed out on the ground, pink mirrors floating over their bodies. "What in the name of-"
"I don't know, but we'll find out!" Serenity said as she summoned her scepter.
