Author's Note: The souvenirs that Draco and company purchase in this chapter are the same souvenirs that Harry and company noticed in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Chapter 7, "Bagman and Crouch."

The teenagers strolled excitingly through all the salesmen. Draco, Gregory, and Vincent quickly brought themselves a small figurine of Krum. Blaise brought himself a Bulgarian scarf that had a lion on it that really roared.

"Do you see anything you like, Pansy?" Draco asked, getting his money ready. He knew that his father would murder him if he found out that his son hadn't bought at least one item for a lady.

"Both that dancing shamrock hat and that green rosette look nice," Pansy replied. "I really don't know which one I rather have."

"I'll get you both," Draco quickly said. "Besides, I want to get a green rosette of my own."

"You are such a gentleman, Draco," Pansy smiled. "Theo, I know you don't like Quidditch, but you ought to get at least one item."

"I don't see anything I like yet," Theodore mumbled.

"How about these flags?" Blaise suggested, waving a Bulgarian flag that he had just purchased. The flag played the Bulgarian national anthem as it was waved. "I think I'll get an Ireland one as well."

"I suppose they are nice," Theodore admitted, "and I have always been a fan of good music."

"Probably because of my mother," Draco grinned. "She is a marvelous piano player."

"Yes, she is," Theodore agreed. "Too bad there isn't a flag that plays one of her melodies."

"It looks like someone has a little crush on Draco's mother," Blaise said teasingly.

"Shut up, Blaise," Theodore snapped.

"Yes, Blaise," a girl's voice spoke, "you shouldn't tease Theo like that."

Theodore immediately looked up at the sound of the girl's voice.

"Daphne," he greeted, unable to stop a bright smile from appearing on his face.

Daphne Greengrass smiled at Theodore before exchanging greetings with the rest of the gathered teenagers.

Draco recognized the smaller girl closely following Daphne as being her younger sister, Astoria.

Astoria smiled politely at everyone. She blushed when she came to Draco, and she was unable to meet his eyes as she greeted him.

"How are you doing, Daphne?" Pansy asked.

Draco didn't know much about Daphne, but he did know that she shared a dormitory with Pansy and that she sometimes hanged around with Pansy. Daphne, though, was more of a silent companion, preferring to focus mostly on her studies.

Which was probably the reason why she and Theodore were smiling stupidly at each other. They were so alike in many ways, except for the fact that the Greengrass family had never directly supported the Dark Lord by having a member become a Death Eater.

But then again, Draco thought, looking over at Pansy, the Parkinson family did not directly join the Dark Lord either. Draco, however, knew for a fact that the Parkinson family did strongly believe in many of the same things that the Dark Lord had believed in.

"I'm doing just fine, Pansy, as is Astoria," Daphne said. "She's really looking forward to her second year."

"It's going to be a very exciting year," Draco remarked. "There's going to be a lot going on, even more than usual. For once, Hogwarts might actually be worth going to this year."

Astoria just nodded her head, still unable to meet Draco's eyes.

"Millicent, Tracey," Pansy suddenly called over Draco's shoulder.

Two more of Pansy's dormitory mates, Millicent Bulstrode and Tracey Davis, approached the company. More greeting were exchanged.

Millicent and Tracey, along with Daphne and Astoria, then began to look at the various different types of souvenirs.

"You ladies get anything you want," Draco said, getting his money ready.

"Stop being such a showoff, Draco," Theodore spoke. "I got Daphne and Astoria." He blushed when he met Daphne's eyes.

Daphne blushed as well. The two teenagers quickly looked away from each other.

"That is very generous of you, Theo," Astoria said in a soft voice. "Thank you."

"It's no problem at all," Theodore returned.

"I suppose I should take a lady as well," Blaise smiled charmingly. He looked at both Millicent and Tracey. He frowned slightly at Millicent but smiled brightly at Tracey, who was clearly the prettier of the two girls.

"I'll get you three items, Millicent," Draco offered, seeing the crestfallen expression on her face.

Millicent immediately smiled at Draco, and she thanked him for his generosity.

Out of the corner of his eye, Draco noticed Astoria smiling at him as well. As soon as she noticed him looking at her, though, she quickly looked away.

Draco looked in between Pansy and Astoria. It was painfully clear that Astoria had a thing for him (and she was very pretty already for her young age), but him and Pansy (while they were not exactly an "item") had been friends since before they had started Hogwarts.

Draco shook his head slightly. Astoria was hardly the only pretty girl that had a crush on him. Besides, she was a little too shy for his liking.

"Do you see anything you like, Millicent?" Draco asked.

Millicent picked out a green rosette, a Bulgarian scarf, and an Ireland flag.

Along with the items for Millicent, Draco also bought a tiny Firebolt model and a Krum figurine for Pansy. It wasn't because he was feeling guilty or anything, though. She was just looking very longingly at those two items, and she had always admired Draco's skills on a broomstick. It was always nice to be appreciated.

"Aren't you two going to buy us ladies anything?" Tracey asked Gregory and Vincent.

Gregory and Vincent looked at each other for a moment.

"Um," Vincent finally said, "we really don't have much money on us, sorry."

Draco couldn't help but think that it had been a very wise decision on both Mrs. Goyle's and Crabbe's parts to not give their sons too much money. They had the tendency to lose things a little too easily.

"We all got to get one of those as well," Daphne suddenly said, nodding her head at a cart piled high with brass binoculars. "They look interesting."

A closer inspection showed that the binoculars were covered with knobs and dials.

The salesmen immediately told them that they were Omnioculars. He then preceded to explain what Omnioculars could do.

Draco, Theodore, Blaise, Gregory, and Vincent each bought themselves one. Draco also brought one for Pansy and Millicent, while Theodore treated Daphne and Astoria and Blaise took care of Tracey.

"You gentlemen have all been so generous," Daphne spoke, "but Astoria and I must be going now. Our parents are probably wondering where we're at."

Same here," Millicent and Tracey said.

"All right," Pansy responded, "I'll see all you girls at Hogwarts."

Daphne, Astoria, Millicent, and Tracey waved goodbye to Pansy and the boys before making their way through the crowd.

Draco took a moment to look around. He suddenly spotted three familiar figures.

"Look, its Potter, Granger, and the Weasel," he said.

"For once, give it a rest, Draco," Theodore sighed in annoyance. "We need to return to your tent anyways, before our parents start searching for us."

"Fine," Draco huffed unhappily.

If only Potter had noticed them. Then, Draco would have had to go over to the other boy because Draco Malfoy was not the type of person to run away from any challenge. Besides, someone had to put Potter in his place, especially since most people seemed so eager to worship the scarhead.

"Come on, Draco, let's go," Pansy spoke, taking his hand. "Potter, the Mudblood, and the Blood-Traitor aren't worth our time or effort. They're all just nothing more than a waste of space and air."

The teenagers then began to make their way through the crowd, back towards the Malfoys' tent.
