Chapter 5: Tokyo Vixens Revealed!

It was the third Preseason Game for the Tokyo Vixens. Over the past three weeks, The Tokyo Vixens had a great feel for the game of football. For the most part, everyone got a bit better. They had a great feel for the preseason games. Even though, preseason didn't count on the record book, the coaches of any preseason game took this very seriously. Ichigo knew all too well what the coaches were looking for in the preseaon games. That was one thing, the starters of the team.

Ichigo could tell on the sidelines during their preseason games which existing teams had their starters resting or playing. For anyone of the Tokyo Vixens, there wasn't anyone going to be kicked off the team sense they were way in the range of players needed on the team. However it was make it or break it for the team. To the Tokyo Vixens, this was to find their first ever starting line up. Now they were playing in the Miami Dolphins as this was the third team the Vixens had to play during their first ever preseason.

In any of their preseason games, the other team was certainly impressed on the Vixen's players not getting any sort of penalty during the preseason game. This was a rare NFL first. While watching their girls play against their opponent, Kakashi was noting down notes on what he saw in his coaching book. Alan turns to him "You know, I've seen some of your plays for this Ninja Style Offense, but why aren't you putting this into play in the preseason?"

Kakashi chuckles "One reason is because we want the element of surprise. If we start playing by our ninja style offence now, the other teams we'll go up against during the regular season may come up with a solution which maybe highly unlikely but we still want the Element of surprise, and besides...This is only preseason, no sense on showing them our style of offence or defense yet this year."

Shikamaru agreed "They are having trouble against one of our Wide Receivers, and this is when we haven't shown any team our ninja style offence."

Suzaku agreed with Shikamaru "I'll say this, I believe we already know who is one of our starting Wide Receivers."

Kakashi winks watching as Ku-Fei caught a thirty yard touchdown pass which was thrown by Risa Hawkeye and the Dolphins really couldn't stop Ku when the offense wasn't showing their ninja style offense "Indeed."

A Cornerback of the Dolphin scratches his head as he was beaten on every play by Ku asking his coach this "How does she do that?"

The Defensive Coordinator of the Dolphins just scratches his head as well shrugging "Got me. That was the perfect type of coverage too."

In the end of the game the Vixens had won 30-17. Now once the preseason game was over Coach Kakashi, and Shikamaru Nara managed to find their starters of the Tokyo Vixen's offense. Alan knew his starters on the defensive line of the Tokyo Vixens.

"So how do you want to do this Kakashi?" Fowler asked him

Coach Kakashi stops as he knew Kaiba was on his way. Kakashi had insured Seto Kaiba that the Vixens would have their starters by the end of the preseason game against the Dolphins which would've made it their third preseason game "We call each of the girls up to my office. Kaiba wants to have a word with them all. First we'll call the offensive line up, then the defensive line."

"Gotcha!" was the reply.

Seto Kaiba did arrive one hour after the preseason game. He meets up with Kakashi and the other four coaches of the Tokyo Vixens in their office. He had seen all of the preseason games of the Tokyo Vixens, so far he was impressed with himself, however he also knew that preseason games usually didn't matter because they didn't count towards their win-loss record. Due to this the teams usually played their backups, defeating backups was one thing, it was a whole different meaning of defeating the team with their starters and Kaiba knew it. Sure so far the Vixens hadn't lost a game but it was only because of their opponents playing their backups.

Seto Kaiba honestly felt a bit cheated because of this, in the card game Duel Monsters which he grew up with, no duelist would ever use what they'd call a back up deck. Well he knew Yugi Muto might've tried out someone else's deck but that was an exception. In Kaiba's mind when you Dueled an opponent, you Dueled for keeps although if there was a game he'd wished didn't count it was his first duel with Yugi, the one where he had been defeated by the rarest monster of the game's history, Exodia. After walking in the door Kaiba addresses the coaches "Good game today even though it didn't count towards the record this year."

"Thank you" all of the coaches told him.

Seto Kaiba then turns to Kakashi "So do you know who are our starters?"

"As I told you that we would at this time, we do" Kakashi informed "You're just in time to see the starting offensive line of the Tokyo Vixens. Then the defensive line."

"Good" Kaiba said "Now I guess it's safe for me to see them now so I don't be surprised later on at a news conference."

"News Conference?" Shikamaru asked "No one told us anything about that."

Seto Kaiba eyes him "It was set up the moment Kakashi told me that you'd have both starters after the third preseason game. Due to this it was the same for Rodger Goodell whom wanted us to reveal the Tokyo Vixens. As we both know the Starters will rest for a regular season game so will need to sit out the fourth preseason game, to rest them before their first ever big game."

"Of course" Shikamaru admitted.

"So how are we you going to introduce me to them?" Kaiba asked.

Kakashi answered "For you Mr. Kaiba, we will show you the offensive line first. Then the defensive line. We'll call them up by name for you one by one so you can give them all a chat."

Kaiba nods "Very well then."

Kakashi turns to Shikamaru Nara "It's time, Quarterback first."

"This position was the most hardest one for us to determine even after the third preseason game" Shikamaru told Kaiba "Both Quarterbacks that tried out seriously did great...So with the exception of the Quarterbacks which we will summon both up, you'll see the starting line up."

"Good" Kaiba said "I know what you mean about our Quarterback situation, both of them did great! I was watching them at your first practice and your three preseason games. Both Haruno and Hawkeye did great at the position. So I'm wondering who you choose as our starter."

Shikamaru turns to Fowler whom saw his nod, the special agent walks to the intercom system "Sakura Haruno, Risa Hawkeye you are required to come into the coaching office at once."

Hearing their names called, both Sakura and Risa shared confused glances. They weren't expecting this. Sure they had been aware they were competing against each other but didn't have any clue on why they were asked to come to the coaches office. Despite this the two women walk over to the coaching office knocking on the door. Sakura's voice asked out as Risa knocked "Sakura Haruno and Risa Hawkeye here, may we come in?"

"Please do" Kakashi told them.

Sakura opens the door and lets Risa walk in first before she did. The two girls blinked as Seto Kaiba was in the room. Risa may not have known much about the outside world beyond Amestris but she knew the man, and so did Sakura "Kaiba?"

"Welcome ladies" Kaiba told them he then made a polite hand gesture towards seats in the room "Please have a seat."

The two girls give each other looks, both knew that Kaiba blackmailed Ichigo into trying out to make the team and pressured her to actually be one of the two starting Wide Receivers. How did they know it? Well Ichigo managed to tell them that privately and asked the two to keep it a secret from the other players. Risa Hawkeye upon hearing this wanted to give Kaiba a piece of her own mind, and if that didn't work there was always her guns... Sakura too wanted to give Kaiba a piece of her own mind but knew that the confrontation could only get them involved in their own unwanted blackmail. Sadly the two agreed to Ichigo's request in keeping it a secret. The two girls take their seats as Sakura asked Kakashi "Coach Kakashi? What have you called us up for?"

Shikamaru answers for him "We have called you two both up to tell you two who the Starting Quarterback of the Tokyo Vixens is."

Sakura and Risa Hawkeye shared looks once again as Coach Fowler told them "As you both are aware you two were perhaps the best quarterbacks that made the Tokyo Vixens team. Now that the third preseason game has come to a close, it is time to bring out the starters. There can only be one starting Quarterback for any team. This starting position was the most hardest for Kakashi, Shikamaru and I to decide."

"Wow, even after the third preseason game?" Sakura asked.

"Indeed" Kakashi said "But we have made our decision because if we have a very great Starting Quarterback, we unlike most other teams will have a just as good Back-up Quarterback. So it's time for us to announce who it would be."

Both Sakura and Risa crossed their fingers hoping to be picked. Shikamaru called both of their strengths out for Kakashi to make it "Sakura, you were very great at handling pressure as you used everything to avoid it and extend plays, that was your best feature. Hawkeye, you were very good at accuracy, never missing a Wide Reciever or Tight End that was your best feature. So Kakashi what is your decision?"

"Ours you mean" Kakashi said winking at Shikamaru "Anyway, accuracy wise it would be a good idea to have a Starting Quarterback with that...But our offensive style is going to be called the ninja-style offense, in this offense as we've been teaching you in practice the Quarterback has to try to at times trick the opposing defense and try to extend plays. Risa, you in my mind tend to be the typical drop back and pass type of Quarterback, which is no big deal for most teams, but Sakura..."

"Yes?" Sakura asked.

Kakashi smiles at her "You are perfectly able to extend the plays. You can also drop back, set your feet and pass, but if you are under pressure you use your legs to extend the plays and even will run to get the first down if possible. Plus you are a trained Konochi so for this reason..."

He hands out his hand towards Sakura giving her the football "To name you Sakura Haruno as my final choice to be the Tokyo Vixen's Starting Quarterback."

Sakura blinks sitting back letting this sink in "No way!"

Her eyes begin to fill with tears "I'M THE STARTING QUARTERBACK FOR THE TOKYO VIXENS? Risa do me a favor and pinch me, because I must be dreaming."

Risa pinches Sakura's cheek and Sakura felt it rubbing her cheek "Okay, I'm not dreaming..."

Kakashi looks at Sakura as she eyes him back as he asked her "That is if you accept it."

"I do accept it Coach Kakashi" Sakura responded standing up.

Risa stood up shaking Sakura's hand "Congratulations Sakura for officially being the Tokyo Vixens' starting Quarterback,"

"Thanks Risa Hawkeye and sorry for well you know beating you in this Quarterback competition" Sakura told her shaking her hand.

Risa actually smiles "No need to be sorry Sakura. I'll be looking forward into being your back up quarterback this year. You can count on me to take on the deed if you are injured during any of the games this year."

Sakura smiles as well at Risa Hawkeye "It would be my honor to have an equally great back up Quarterback having my back."

Seto Kaiba rises extending his hand to shake Sakura's. Sakura was a bit hesitant to accept a hand shake from him, but she extends her hand anyway. Both Owner of the Tokyo Vixens and Starting Quarterback of the Tokyo Vixens shook hands with Kaiba speaking out to her "Congratulations Haruno, you earned the leadership role of the Tokyo Vixens, don't mess up."

Sakura's eyes narrowed "WHAT DO YOU MEAN DON'T MESS UP?!"

Kaiba smirked at her reaction "Oh you understand that much don't you!"

Sakura now wanted to punch Kaiba in the face, heck she wanted to punch his head off but Shikamaru eyes Kaiba speaking out to the owner of the Tokyo Vixens knowing by seeing Sakura holding in her anger from forming her fists "You love playing with fire don't you? Word of advice, play with fire you get burned."

"And your point is?" Kaiba asked him.

Shikamaru answered "Anger Sakura Haruno, and it could be your life on the line. May I remind you she has Lady Tsunade's training and Lady Tsunade can destroy solid walls with one punch..."

Kaiba choose to ignore Shikamaru's warning "I know what I'm doing."

Shikamaru lets this slide with one last remark "Don't say I didn't warn you."

Kaiba looks at Sakura "Look, I have seen your work so far and I will say I am looking forward in seeing your progress through out the year. You see Haruno, if things aren't going well for the Vixens by the end of the season as we don't get into the play offs, then I'll simply disband the team and the team will be no more. If that were to happen and there is a big fan base for the team, guess who the fans will blame the most."

Sakura eyes him as he points to her "You will be to blame...Not me!"

Sakura eyes him frowning really restraining herself not to crush and break Kaiba's hand which was still in hers "I won't disappoint you..."

Risa Hawkeye had enough of Kaiba speaking like this to Sakura "I doubt the fans will put the blame on Sakura when someone leaks out that it's you that disbanded it after one year."

Kaiba eyes Risa "You know of nothing! Fans blame every quarterback or Head Coach for everything that goes wrong!"

Kaiba now looks at Sakura "Look, all I'm saying is this, sure you can handle pressure of the Tokyo Vixens' defense and perhaps other opponent defenses during games, but can you handle pressure of the media and fan base?"

Sakura eyes him "I can!"

Kaiba smirks at her "That we shall see after I see the other starters."

Sakura just takes her seat while Kaiba takes his own seat. He somehow misses Hawkeye asking her in a whisper "You sure you don't want me to shoot him?"

Sakura whispers back without Kaiba knowing as well "It's not wise to bite off the hand of someone that's feeding you."

Fowler after Shikamaru gives him a nod, then calls Mieko, Kallen Stafield, Ku-Fei, Ichigo Momomiya, Makoto Kino, Korra, Komachi, Tifa Lockheart, Poula, and Ten-Ten. The girls all come in.

As soon as Ichigo walked in she sees Kaiba and gulps nervously. She hoped Kaiba didn't hear her name but her hopes were diminished when he eyes her smirking. Once this was done the girls take their seats next to the huge room near the table that said offensive line. There was another blank table labeled defensive line, with no one on it. This would soon change as Alan rose calling out the names of those that would be starting for the Vixens' defensive line "Ahsoka Tano, Rukia, Homura, Rei Hino, Kitana, Keade, Temari, Hinata Hyugga, Milfa, Sonya Blade, Cassie Chan report the coaching office."

Two by two the girls arrive looking confused.

Alan greets them when they arrive "Evening ladies! Please take a seat under the defensive line table."

The girls obey Alan taking their seats. Once this was done, Suzaku calls up "Asuna Kagurazaka, please report to the coaching office."

Asuna arrives quickly and she sees one last seat opened and sits down.

Once she was sitting, Shikamaru turns to Seto Kaiba extending his hand towards the girls at the offensive line table. Ichigo was nervous as she was wondering why all of the girls were gathered in one room. She gets her answer when Shikamaru announces to Kaiba "Mr. Kaiba with the exception of Risa Hawkeye whom is our backup Quarterback, as you can see at the offensive line table, the starting line up of the Tokyo Vixen's offence."

This got the girls to erupt into cheerful shouts "VIXENS, VIXENS, VIXENS!"

Heck even Ichigo had to erupt into the cheerful shout only adding on Nya at her cheerful shout which caused her to blush.

Alan extends his hand towards the defensive line table "And Mr. Kaiba, the Tokyo Vixen's starting lineup for their defensive line is over here."

This got the defensive line shouting. Ichigo takes a good look at her team mates on the offensive line she did hear Shikamaru say that Risa was their back up Quarterback, so that only meant Sakura Haruno was the starting Quarterback. Ichigo looks at Sakura smiling at her "Congratulations!"

Sakura nods "Thanks, and congratulations yourself."

Ichigo felt a lot better now that she had successfully done what Kaiba had asked her to do, she had successfully tried out for the team making it in the end, and she successfully became a Starting Wide Reciever of the Tokyo Vixens. She eyes her partner in crime in the same position Ku-Fei, and a smile formed on her face knowing how great it would be to play on the same side as Ku-Fei which even she considered was greater than her at the position.

Seto Kaiba lets the girls continue shouting, all of them were crying joyfully that they were the starters, although Homora tried her best not to show that she was or make it she wasn't crying at all. Once this had died down Kaiba rises "Congratulations on making your side of the football-"

"Uh, then what position did I make?" Asuna asked dumbfounded, far as she was concerned she wasn't on any place on the field except for Special Teams.

Suzaku answers "You are our official Field Goal , Punter and Kick off kicker"

"Oh!" Asuna said.

Kaiba lets this interruption slide for once "Anyway as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted. Congratulations on making your starting roles on your corresponding side of the field. As the owner of the Tokyo Vixens it fills me with great pleasure and pride to see you all. I must admit I have been watching your progress ever sense you girls tried out for the team. Now I wasn't involved in any of the decision making as most Owners of their Franchise team would do in getting players-"

He stops while secretly looking at Ichigo as he smirked out "Well for most of you anyway."

Ichigo frowned at this knowing that she was the only girl that was blackmailed into trying out and forced to try to be a Starting Wide Receiver of the Tokyo Vixens muttering out silently to herself "Why was I the only one blackmailed?"

Seto Kaiba continues his speech "Now ladies, I can only wish you all good luck in your future games. The pressure is on you girls in what happens to the team. I've sadly made a deal with Rodger Goodell when making this team, and if this team doesn't make the playoffs due to accumulating too many losses then I will be forced to disband the team permanently."

"Aaawwweee" was the response from most of the girls.

Ichigo mutters to herself "Yeah right like this Rodger Goodell would force you to disband the team. It's a classic move only on your part Kaiba. Way to put the blame on the most powerful man in the NFL."

Sakura and Risa were the only ones that heard her mutter. The two agree with Ichigo's choice of words with Sakura muttering to Ichigo "You may have had it hard into making the team and being a starter which is what you managed to get...But he's going to blame me for the losses that kick us out of the playoffs."

"That's so Kaiba" Ichigo mutters.

Seto Kaiba now addresses the team "Anyway, I have complete faith of you girls to prove the many other NFL teams that even girls can play the game of Football and win! Even taking it to the post season! Now I will promise you all this, and it is this, be warned don't let your victories in the preseason games get to your heads."

"What?" was the response from the girls.

Seto Kaiba answers them "The reason is quite simple, the players you have been going up against well some were the original starters, and some weren't like in the first preseason game, those were all back up players or drafted players trying to land a starting job. So far from what I've seen you are all doing quite well and I am pleased in seeing who made the Starting position on each side of the ball especially you Momomiya."

Ichigo eyes him clearly wanting to knock some sense into him but decided not to muttering out "You'd better be you big jerk!"

Sakura and Risa Hawkeye eye their friend feeling bad for her.

Seto Kaiba then announces to the team "Now ladies, my final choice of words as owner of the Tokyo Vixens is show everyone that it doesn't matter what gender you are, you can play football on the NFL's level!"

The Vixens all cheer once again and Kaiba now stands up "Now all of you girls I have a special announcement to make for not only all of you girls but your coaches as well...And that is this, there is a news conference in two hours.

This naturally got the girls all talking excited. Ichigo however felt like she wanted to faint. No one had told her that there was going to be news conferences. She bit her lip hearing Mieko admit "Uh, Mr. Kaiba, sir what will the news conference be about?"

Seto Kaiba answers "The Tokyo Vixens revealed."

Ichigo now started to sweat wondering what to wear to this news conference but Seto Kaiba told them "Normally for these News Conferences you'd be dressed professionally, I'd assume that sense the players are ladies a really good fine dress and for your coaches something equally fancy. This news conference on the other hand is going to be different, sinse it's all going to be about the Tokyo Vixens revealed as an NFL team to the world, you girls will all have to be dressed in your football gear but your coaches still have to dress fancy and ready for the event."

Ichigo now knew what she was to wear for this one and other news conferences as she raised her hand and Kaiba sees this "Yes, Momomiya?"

Ichigo asks her question "As you know this is the first time for most of us being in a news conference but how many are there?"

Kaiba answers her "This news conference I'll be in it as well, but there are seventeen games of the regular season that will have post game news conferences shortly after each game. Then there are supposed to be one to three more news conferences during the Post Season game."

"So that makes it...Twenty!" Ichigo shouted.
"Twenty one actually" Mieko said "If we make it to the big final tournament known as the Superbowl."

Ichigo blinks wanting to faint at this, twenty one games of being exposed to the media and taking questions. She is very nervous at this but Sakura comforts her "Relax, Ichigo, I believe most of the questions will be towards three people Seto Kaiba, our Head Coach Kakashi, and myself."

"Why would you be the one of the three people on our team, the media would ask questions to?" Ichigo asked.

Mieko answered "She's our Starting Quarterback, she's even though she's not on the defensive side of the ball is our teams leader. Most of the media during these news conferences normally would go after the head coach of the team and the team's starting quarterback and in some cases when the starting QB is injured the back up Quarterback will be the one taking questions."

"Well alright then" Ichigo said still unsure but she had to make an appearance, she was officially now one of the two starting Wide Receivers of the Tokyo Vixens. Seto Kaiba stands up and begins to leave "I'll be back within two hours for the news conference, so until then stay safe ladies."

Seto Kaiba walks out of the coaching office leaving the Coaches to address the girls. Kakashi now speaks up "Ladies, take a good hour and a half worth of break to relax and shower to get ready for this news conference."

This got all of the girls to nod their heads. Kakashi turns to them also speaking out "Our fourth Preseason Game next week neither of you girls that are the Tokyo Vixens's starters will play in."

"Ahhh" Ku-Fei asked "Why is that?"

Shikamaru answered "For one thing it is to rest the starting line for each side of the football for the first ever official game of the regular season. No use in hurting anyone on the starting line up until then. We don't want to start off the regular season now on a bad start because of it do we?"

"I suppose not" Ku-Fei admitted.

Kakashi then dismissed the girls "Alright then Vixens dismissed."

With Fowler turning to Hawkeye "You get the whole fourth preseason game to lead the other back ups on offense...Think you can handle it?"

Hawkeye smiled saluting the special agent "I believe so sir! We'll make it that opposing defenses will have to think twice about facing both our starters and back ups."

"That's the tone that I like hearing Risa!" Fowler told her.

One hour and fifty eight had passed, Seto Kaiba, Kakashi Hatake, William Fowler, Shikamaru Nara, Alan, and Suzaku were present at the New Conference. They might've been there but the girls weren't. Kaiba turns "Where are they? They'll be late!"

Kakashi chuckles as they could see Rodger Goodell's private jet arrived "Oh they are here alright."

"Really? Where?" Kaiba asked him.

Shikamaru answers "Relax Kaiba, they are following the plan. It is to reveal their starting lines right?"

Kaiba nodded "Right..."

Alan turned to him "Then that's what we are going to do, the girls are here just waiting for their name and number to be called."

"Oh, now I get it" Kaiba admitted "Why wasn't I aware of this adjustment?"

"We tried to call you" Suzaku said "But someone named Joey Wheeler intercepted our call."

"THAT MUTT DID WHAT NOW?" Kaiba asked.

Shikamaru nodded "Somehow this Joey intercepted the call saying that he was the new owner of the cell phone number."

"I must have to thank him in my usual way" Kaiba threatened, no one ever dared to intercept calls that were last minute decisions to keep it away from him.

Rodger Goodell arrived on the scene shaking the coaches's hands even Kaiba's as he asked Kaiba "Where are the girls?"

Kaiba tries to look around for a certain blond haired Duelist "They are here Mr. Goodell, just waiting for their name and number to be called."

The screens in Japan went blank and a news reporter appears on screen of the people watching the television screens. One of which was Yugi Muto whom read the headlines to Tristian whom was with him "Tokyo Vixens Revealed? Hey wait a second where's Joey?"

Tristian looks at him "Something about ruining Kaiba's news conference."

"This one?" Yugi asked.

Tristian nods "This was scheduled to be today...Why?"

Yugi turns to him "We've gotta stop Joey before he embarrasses himself on nationwide television!"

"Don't you mean international?" Tea asked as she was in the room with the two boys "Because in the US, under their NFL Network, and ESPN those screens are hosting this event too."

The three rush to find Joey listening to the reporter "We are now getting word that a news conference is underway at the Kaiba Stadium downtown Tokyo Japan. We are told a very special news conference to reveal a new NFL team full of girls are going to be revealed."

"So this was Kaiba's idea all along?" Yugi asked as he heard reporter "Why would he do that?"

Joey was in front of them at the news conference but was having a hard time in getting close to Kaiba. Yugi advances "Joey!"

Joey turns to Yugi "Hey Yug!"

"What are you up to?" Yugi asked.

Joey answers "What's it look like? Trying to ruin Kaiba's press conference!"

"How'd you know about this?" Yugi asked him.

Joey grins "Why I'd intercepted a call from one of the coaching staff of the Tokyo Vixens."

"All by yourself?" Yugi asked.

"Of course I did!" Joey said.

Yugi eyes his friend "Listen...Just let them get threw what they are here for, you maybe going to embarrass yourself."

All cameras now turned to Rodger Goodell whom stood alongside Seto Kaiba, Head Coach Kakashi Hatake, and the rest of Kakashi's fellow coaches. Rodger Goodell began the news conference "Thank you all for coming. Today it is my pleasure that I reveal a first for the NFL, a football franchise where all of it's players are all female! I am with the owner Seto Kaiba, whom calls his team the Tokyo Vixens."

Seto Kaiba stands tall as cameras focus on him "In return to Mr. Goodell's kindness for allowing this team to go threw, I stand beside my four coaches with Head Coach Kakashi Hatake...Please wave Kakashi."

Kakashi waves as Yugi mentally thought to himself So that's why Kaiba asked me to go to Konoha to find Kakashi...Kaiba wanted Kakashi so Kakashi could coach this team.

Kaiba then spoke "Now I know what all of you are wondering, where are the girls we have? Well, pleased be amazed as we reveal the Tokyo Vixens's starting line up on both sides of the ball. Head Coach Kakashi Hatake, and his Offensive Coordinator Shikamaru Nara will now reveal them."

Seto Kaiba allows the cameras to focus on Kakashi and Shikamaru, with Shikamaru looking board and Kakashi still waving "Oh, hello everyone, first I'd like to thank Mr. Kaiba for giving me this chance to coach this great team."

"You're welcome Kakashi" Kaiba told him.

Kakashi now turns "Now with Shikamaru at my side we will reveal the Tokyo Vixens to you all. First up the starting Quarterback of the Tokyo Vixens. She was my former student back in Konoha, number seven, Sakura Haruno!"

Hearing her name Sakura rushes out towards the crowd decked in full Tokyo Vixen football home game gear. Sakura briefly removes her helmet to show her face to the crowd then puts it back on and finds a nice seat right.

Shikamaru then called out "Starting Runningback of the Tokyo Vixens number twenty-five Kallen Stafield!"

No one but Suzaku noticed a certain masked man standing in the ground looking up and watched with what he could make up was a bit of surprise as Kallen comes out standing right besides Sakura. Like Sakura Kallen waved to the crowd, briefly removed her helmet before placing it back on.

Shikamaru notices Suzaku's mood whispering to the Special Team's coordinator "Let me guess you spotted him the masked man Zero."

Suzaku nods "This is my chance to catch him."

Shikamaru whispers to Suzaku "It is, I'll admit it, but it isn't the best time in front of everyone."

Suzaku understood "Then how do we get him?"

Shikamaru turns to him "We'll work together to get him after this news conference."

"Right" Suzaku whispered back keeping one eye on Zero and the other towards the reporters of the news conference.

Kakashi now calls out the center "Our Starting Center, number Sixty-three Mieko!"

No sooner had Mieko appeared then a green van seemed to burst out with a robotic tone alongside a white sports car "That's my Mieko!"

The sportscar spoke "Just as she told you Bulkhead...So I see the kid did good."

"I've now gotta see this what she calls Football Game sense she well you know is a Starting Center" The van spoke.

Fowler just face palms, he hadn't excepted that two famous Autobots, named Bulkhead and Wheeljack to briefly make a return.

Shikamaru now calls out the two Wide Recievers "Next our two Starting Wide Recievers, Number Sixty, Ku-Fei and Number Sixty-eight Ichigo Momomiya!"

Ku-Fei rushes out as fast as she could repeating the same things the first three girls did and then stood as well. Now Ichigo does her best to show up, she too repeats the things the others did but once she caught sight of Yugi Muto and his friends she gulped. Yugi caught her eyes on him as he asked "No way...Our friend Ichigo tried out for this team and made the Starting role for the Tokyo Vixens?"

Even Joey was thrown back "No way! I can't believe it, hey wait a minute, something smells fishy here."

"That might've been me by accident" Tristian admitted.

"No it wasn't you" Joey assured him.

Yugi quit listening to the two and knew by Ichigo's look that she had been blackmailed into doing this and he knew who was the culprit of the blackmail as he mentally asked Why didn't you come to me for help?

Kakashi then spoke "Next, I will admit our offense is going to be a two tight end offense so let's bring them in, number sixty-one Makoto Kino and number sixty-seven Korra!"

The two girls arrive and repeated the same actions as the others.

"Next up" Shikamaru told the reporters "Are our offensive guards, number sixty two Komachi, number sixty-four Tifa Lockheart, number sixty five Poula, and number sixty-six Ten-Ten.

The four girls appear and repeat what the others did.

Kakashi then speaks up "Ladies and gentlemen of the media, may I full now introduce the starting offense of the Tokyo Vixens."

The crowd erupts into claps. The girls all bow.

Shikamaru now stands back into the area he used to be in with Alan now stepping up.

Alan addresses the crowd "Now it's my turn, I'm Alan and I'm the Tokyo Vixen's Defensive Coordinator. So just like Shikamaru Nara helped Kakashi showing you the starting offense of the Tokyo Vixens, allow me to introduce you all to the starting defense."

The applause dies down allowing him to go first after Kakashi nods his head at him "The first, are our safeties, number fifty and number seventy!"

Ahsoka Tano and Rukia rush out and repeat the same actions as the offensive line does. Watching this on his TV was Ichigo Kurosaki whose reaction to seeing Rukai making the team and being a Starter was jaw dropping wide.

Kakashi introduced the Cornerbacks "Now for our Starting Cornerbacks, Number Eighty-eight Homura and number eighty Rei Hino!"

The two girls arrive wave, remove their helmets briefly then stand right next to the two safeties...Only Homura was well Homura showing no emotion but was glad to have made the team in the inside.

"Next" Alan said "Two Outside linebackers number eighty-seven Kitana, number eighty-one Temari, and our inside Linebacker number eighty-three, Keade!"

The three girls appear doing the same things as the previous.

Then Kakashi finally spoke "Next up, the Defensive Tackle or defensive linemen as you'd call it Number Eighty-Six Hinata Hyugga, Number Eighty-Five Milfa, number eighty-four Sonya Blade, and number eighty-two, Cassie Chan."

The four girls appear and repeat what their friends had done.

Alan then spoke to the crowd "Ladies and gentlemen the full starting defensive line of the Tokyo Vixens."

More applause appears as Suzaku finally stands up walking towards Kakashi. Kakashi nods allowing Suzaku to speak "I'm Suzaku and I am the Special Teams Coordinator from what I've seen about Special Teams it seems to be a mixture of both sides of the ball minus the kicker which in our case will do all three things for Special Teams, she'll do the Punting, the Kick Off kick, and the Field Goal, Number thirteen of the Tokyo Vixens Asuna Kagurazaka!

Asuna waves to the crowd and they applaud her. Watching her come out was Joey whom shrinks his head remembering how far she kicked a football before trying out "Uh, it's no surprise she made that one..."

Kaiba now stands up "Now everyone, the Vixens here are all revealed at least their Starters. They like all starters will be resting during their fourth Preseason Game so look at what they can do in the regular season game starting one week after the fourth preseason game, it's our season opener then at Kaiba Stadium at eight thirty PM. Now I'll take a few questions before allowing Kakashi or Sakura here to answer the rest of them."

A reporter raised his hand addressing Kaiba "Mr. Kaiba sir, I'm a reporter from the NFL network and I was wondering this what made you decide to create this highly unusual team full of girls?"

Kaiba eyes the reporter "For the first part of your question, what made me to decide on creating this team? It was the oversees game in London where the Steelers and Vikings played a game in. I had heard Rodger Goodell was planning onto expanding the NFL to create a team there. So I decided to create a team in Japan. As for why I wanted a full team of girls, well I wanted something different and to prove something."

The reporter jolts down the notes "Thank you."

An ESPN reporter spoke next "Mr. Kaiba, I work for ESPN, and are you sure these girls can go up against a full team of guys? You really must realize that guys have been known to tackle hard, are you worried about their success?"

"Are you a sexist?" Kaiba asked him.

"Excuse me?" the reporter asked.

Kaiba answers him "I maybe a bit worried for my team, but I do know they will have succeeded. This is why they were also formed, to prove that women can just be as good as men are...Even better. So bring on the hard tackles, these girls can handle anything."

Speak for yourself Kaiba Ichigo thought I'm still bruised from Homura's tackles.

Kaiba now steps backwards after answering the questions "Now...No more questions addressed to me."

Joey couldn't help but ask him "Yo! Kaiba!-"

Kaiba eyes Joey venomously "Guards...Take that mutt someplace else."

"STOP CALLING ME A MUTT!" Joey shouted as security guards came to get him "I was just wondering how you get the girls? Did you blackmail them?"

Kaiba laughs as he states "Blackmail? Now that's not me. But oh yes, I did remember one of my Kicker, Asuna was it, actually kick one of your manliness balls."

Joey barked out "I DO SO HAVE MANLY BALLS!"

"Yeah right" Ichigo whispered to herself hiding a sweat drop.

The security guards grab Joey and drag him away from the scene.

Kaiba now quits down as the reporters now address Kakashi with another news reporter asking the head coach "Coach Kakashi, what sort of offense style do you plan to show the NFL, you already said it is mostly a two tight end offense. Were plays we've seen you do during your third preseason game going to be the same in the regular season?"

Kakashi chuckles at the question "Two excellent questions my good man. First the last question, we haven't shown what our offense can really do, for that reason it's quite simple, we want to keep the element of surprise. I will say it will be a two tight end offense, but I will also that the offense we'll be doing is the Ninja Style Offense."

"Ninja Style Offense?" the NFL Network reporter asked "Can you explain more about it?"

Kakashi winks at the reporter "Oh, one's interested I see, but I will tell you that I am from Konoha like Sakura here, but I still want the Element of Surprise, if other NFL teams are watching this, we want to show our first opponents what it is truly mean. Let's just say we are a fast paced offense."

"Fair enough" the NFL network reporter admitted.

The ESPN reporter then asked Kakashi "I didn't mean to try to insult girls but aren't you a bit worried that they could get hurt?"

Kakashi answers the man "I understand your worry and I do show some traces of worry but I also agree with Kaiba that it is time to show that girls can actually play just as good as guys, and I'm willing to accept this. I also understand that guys might not like the idea at first, but it'll grow on you."

The reporter was taken by surprise by Kakashi's calm and collective diminor, he was expecting Kakashi to blow up at him just as Seto Kaiba had done to him when he asked the same question. He wasn't expecting Kakashi to give him a calm, collective and even understanding nature.

"Wow Kakashi, you are laid back" the NFL Network reporter admitted.

"This sort of thing comes to me naturally" Kakashi said.

The ESPN reporter then asked him "Coach Kakashi do you think the Vixens could go all the way?"

"I believe we have a fair shot like all the other teams do" Kakashi answered him "I don't know exactly if we'll go all the way but I have a strong feeling that we'll be back next year."

"What do you mean by that?" the NFL Network reporter asked

Kaiba didn't want to have it answered but knew that this was coming up and answers for Kakashi "I was hoping this question wouldn't come up. Anyway, I've made a deal with Rodger Goodell here, if the Vixens are able to at least get to the Playoffs they will be permanently back for the years to come. If they don't make the playoffs this year then I will disband the team permanently."

"So like you Kaiba!" Joey shouts as he fights his way back somehow even overpowering the two Security Guards that held him "I'd say and eight and eight record is a safe start."

Kaiba eyes Joey "That is to be expected from a Duelist of your caliber."

"WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?" Joey demanded.

"Do you really want an explanation to that?" Tea asked him.

"You'll always be a fifty-fifty person Wheeler. In NFL standards that's unlikely a safe bet! I like all other owners of any team in the NFL have important decisions to make unlike someone who doesn't know business."

"WHY YOU!" Joey erupts but Yugi, Tristian hold him back.

Goodell turns to Kaiba "Want us to throw him out?"

Kaiba eyes Joey "Might as well arrest him for breaking into a news conference."

Reporters now asked Sakura some question in the mist of all this. Then once these were answered the news conference was over and everything was back to normal. Almost everyone, Shikamaru and Suzaku confronted the mask man Zero or well tried to. Zero somehow illuded Suzaku whom was quite fast on his feet. They were able to catch him well Shikamaru's Shadow Possession Jutsu did stopping him in his tracks "Success" Shikamaru spoke.

The mask man eyes Shikamaru "You'll regret this."

"Highly unlikely Zero!" Suzaku told the masked man as he got into the area.

Zero looks at the two "So you two were onto me."

"Well most likely Suzaku here was" Shikamaru said "I'm only here as backup."

Zero could tell Shikamaru was smarter then most people "How about a game?"

Shikamaru eyes Zero "A game? You're going to jail for your crimes...Although I'm not sure what crimes you have committed but if Suzaku is after you so badly, I'm here to help him anyway I can."

Zero looks at Shikamaru "How about a game of Chess?"

Shikamaru blinked "Now why would I play that?"

Zero answers "Simple, you win I'll turn myself in, you lose I go free."

Suzaku eyes Shikamaru "Now Shikamaru, I know you're smart and all, but we can't let him go free.

Shikamaru eyes Zero "If he wants to play a game of Chess, then I'll let him. Alright masked man...The game is on."

Suzaku face palmed as the two started to play Chess.

I know what you all are going to say towards the end, why was it included in the story? Well in Code Genus where Suzaku and Zero are from, the two are bitter enemies, that and Kallen does serve Zero. Plus I wanted the chapter to end on a really funny ending. Shikamaru Nara vs Zero. Anyway next chapter.

Chapter 6: Game 1! New York Giants vs. Tokyo Vixens: In their first ever game of the season, the New York Giants come to take on the Tokyo Vixens at Kaiba Stadium.
