Calypso felt full of joy-for once with no drawbacks, no lingering doubts in her mind, no uncertainty in her eyes. Simply, joy. Her heart-to-heart with Mark earlier that day had settled all her worries, her mind was clear and her heart was true. She had made her choice and she knew it was the right path for her.
Today, I chose my destiny once again, I fell in love again, but this time... she sighed happily and smiled. This time...the love is going to last. This won't be like any of the others in the past. This is the beginning of my new life. With Leo. Finally. She breathed deeply, feeling as though she was at peace with the world again.
All that's left is to find Leo! Calypso couldn't wait for the moment she would tell him she loved him, and wanted to be with him forever. The moment he would look at her in shocked happiness, with love in his eyes, the moment of stunned silence, then unbridled happiness as he embraced her and spun her around and- it would be perfect.
So Calypso ran, calling Leo's name over and over again. When he appeared, she stopped and took a moment to take him in. "Leo," she breathed, one last time.
As if he could tell the good news she was about to tell, a brilliant smile began to tug at the corner of his lips. "Yes, dear?" he replied, in a mock-British accent, ever the comedian.
Calypso laughed. She stepped closer. "I talked to Mark," she began, watching his expression. He seemed unsure of what this meant, so she continued. "We talked and...we both decided that I belong with you. We belong together, Leo. And nothing's going to change that."
It was amazing how a few sentences could change a life. Calypso's words caused a firework show in Leo's mind. He was...pleasantly shocked to say the least. He looked at her, searching for any remorse or regret or anything that implied any doubts. He found nothing. He could see only shining confidence and love. Leo searched for something to say, but no words would come.
"Calypso, I, you don't know how much, I can't believe..." he stuttered. Calypso giggled, a hand over her mouth trying to conceal her laugh.
Leo stopped talking and grinned. "Oh to heck with words. Get over here, Cal." And he closed the space between them, his arms around her waist, her arms around his neck, their foreheads touching. He kissed her softly. Their lips grazed only very briefly but that kiss signified so much. It was the start of a life together, finally. With nothing to stop them.
Leo pulled back slightly and looked into Calypso's eyes lovingly. "What now?"
Calypso's eyes shined. "I don't know, but wherever you are, that's where I want to be. After all, we have to open our new garage, don't we?" she said, smiling.
Leo brought his hand up to her cheek. "So we go home?"
Calypso thought about those words. For years Ogygia has been my home...and my prison. But now, I can have a new home. A home where I can be with Leo and there are other people to meet and I'm free. Finally.
Calypso leaned her head on his chest. "Yes, Leo. Take me home."
A/N: This isn't the end of the story. I know it's short, but I thought that that was a good place to end this chapter. I'm already working on the next chapter, so no worries, that will be up soon. I think there will be one or two more chapters then the epilogue and The End! Thanks to all, please please review, and I'll have Chapter 9 up soon :D Much sooner than this one came out, I promise! As well as the one-shot!
Kitty out~
