"Shockwave sounds like a dick."
Knock Out snorted at the little human, tucked so carefully into his passenger seat. "That's putting it mildly."
"Then, bat-shit insane?" Diana offered instead, cocking her head to one side and smirking.
"Much better. I mean, the guy turned off his emotions because they were too bothersome! Like, went in and messed with his brain to do away with feeling... If that doesn't scream maniac, I don't know what does."
She chuckled at the mech, glancing out the windows of his vehicular mode. "True, so where are we going anyways?" she swiped her good hand against the window, fogged up due to the rainy weather outside.
"It's a surprise."
"Boo. Tell me."
"Nuh uh uh, that ruins the fun. Besides, we're here."
Diana frowned a little bit as their destination came into view, the building obscured by the rain. "A hotel?"
"Yupp." Knock Out's holoform flickered to life as soon as he came to a stop, the tall red-headed form he chose looking rather dapper in a tweed trench coat, standing outside of... himself... opening the passenger door for her and offering a hand. "I think you need a weekend off."
"I, uh." she wasn't sure how to reply, instead she just took his hand, watching in dumb silence as he produced an umbrella to shield her before grabbing her bag.
"It'll be fun." he winked at her, wrapping one arm around her shoulders and steering her towards the hotel's lobby, her bag over his shoulder and the umbrella carefully placed to keep her dry.
Diana's silence reigned once they entered the hotel, the place proving to be rather elegant, reminiscent of the place that Knock Out had first introduced his holoform to her at. She just watched as he checked them in, taking the room keys... politely she noted... and leading her up to the fifth floor.
"Ta da."
"A suite?" she had to blink at him.
"A honeymoon suite to be exact." he grinned, setting her bag down and shedding his trench with a small flicker of static.
"Why... what's the catch? What did you break?" Diana narrowed her gaze at him, only turning away to explore the room when he lifted his hands to sign his innocence. Her exploration of the lovely suite ended in the bathroom, the blonde giving a small gasp at the elaborate tub set into the floor, the size more fitting of a hot tub than a bath.
Knock Out slipped up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing the back of her neck. "You were saying how sore you were, despite your therapy with Nurse Darby. She suggested a good long soak in a bath and, well, I couldn't find one that I approved of on the base."
"Knocks..." he shushed her with a kiss, circling in front of her and helping her remove the sling that her right arm rested in.
"Just let me pamper you, you do the same to me."
"So this is your version of a buffing and waxing?" she had to grin at him.
"Mmhmm." he gave her a soft and sweet kiss, carefully moving her arms to pull off the turtleneck sweater she had been wearing. A few more quick tugs to her clothing and she was nude, the angry red scarring of her ordeal with Starscream obvious against her ivory skin. Knock Out growled softly at the sight, gently trailing his fingertips along the welts, the freshest marks being on her arm where the pins that had held her bones in place had recently been removed. "I'm still going to kill him for touching you."
Diana smiled, watching as he kissed her shoulder then moved away, all but bouncing around the bathroom as he prepared the bath for her. She only moved for the tub when he began to fill it with water, adding what she assumed were bath salts, bubbles and... "Rose petals?"
He grinned at her, wiggling his eyebrows. "I hear they're the flower of romance here. Deep red meaning love, right?" he took a few handfuls of the crimson petals, sprinkling them atop the now sudsy water.
"There's a gentleman in you yet." Diana hummed, slipping into the tub and giving a soft groan of relief as the heat drew her in.
He snorted at her comment. "Just barely, and only around you."
"Of course." she grinned, sinking into the water and momentarily ducking her head under, pulling her hair free from it's ponytail and relishing the feeling of the water gently tugging at her tresses. She leaned back once her hair was soaked, closing her eyes and resting her head back against the tile of the tub.
There was a soft noise behind her, Knock Out moving to settle behind her, taking a second to vanish his shoes and socks and rolling up the black fabric of the slacks he wore before sitting on the edge of the tub, carefully maneuvering her head between his legs so his feet were on either side of her, dangling in the tub.
Diana opened her eyes, peeking up at him as he tangled his fingers into her hair, gently massaging at her scalp. "Really... what prompted all of this?"
He was quiet for a moment, but the jaw of his holofrom drew tight and Diana knew he was worrying over something. "You almost died."
"What?"
"With the Decepticons, Starscream. They almost killed you." his hands slowed, but still moved against her head. "And I couldn't do anything about it."
Diana sighed, closing her eyes. "It wasn't your fault."
"Don't tell me that, you're here because of me."
"And I've told you time and time again, I don't want to be anywhere else."
He made a small and frustrated noise. "You're stubborn."
"You're dumb." she grinned when she heard him snort.
"But I'm yours, and almost losing you... it's just really made me love you all the more. I just, I need to feel you, know you're safe and happy... does that make sense?"
Diana smiled, tugging on his tie until he lowered his lips to hers. "Perfect sense."
