Prue's POV

It's been an hour since I saw my sister, why does it feel like forever? For probably the hundredth time tonight, I looked back at of the emergency room where they've taken here. I almost gasped in relief when it suddenly opened.

"Halliwell, Piper?"

Grams and I immediately approached the doctor.

"I'm the grand-mother."

"Sister." I introduced myself.

The doctor sighed deeply, obviously tired, he lead us to a room nearby, his office, and made us sit, before he started explaining. "I talked to the rescue team who brought her in, they said they received an anonymous phone call. She was found dumped in an alley, she was barely breathing." My heart started to swell with hatred upon hearing that. I looked back at Leo and Phoebe standing behind us, Leo looked down guiltily and Phoebe… well… still her cold self.

"I'll explain everything one by one. She has a bite mark on her lower lip, we made sure she won't get any infection from that. She has a huge bruise on her chest, good thing we didn't see any damage to the chest bone. She has several bruises on her back. While we were working on her, she had a cardiac arrest when the heart stops we call it 'clinical death', she was 'clinically dead' for 15mins before we were able to revive her heart, her heart is really, really weak, we would be needing to do a follow up procedure on that. Our main problem as of the moment is her brain. The brain can only last a while without oxygen after the heart stops before brain damage starts. At this point, we have yet to see the extent of the damage." The looked at all four of us one by one, and sighed deeply before saying. "She's in a coma right now."

And the tears started running down my face… again. UNFAIR! This is so unfair!
