Chapter thirty:
"Let's go." Mello says to Near.
The two begin running then as they run past the beasts there is growling sounds that sounds like a beast.
Mello glances back to see if he needs to fire at them again…. Only to find them obediently calmly just doing nothing….He slows to a stop completely confused. He turns to Near to see if the other is also confused about this or maybe can give a possible idea of what's going on.
A smile appears on Near's face.

Allen's eyes widen now that he can see who had arrived. His eyes resting on in particular…..
His lover….
Allen knows that his lover is a beast despite the human appearance. He shakes a little as the memories hit him like bags of bricks. He really doesn't want to hurt Jared and now he will have to…. All because he is a beast.
"Allen." Igneous says noticing Allen's change in body language. He looks to the others face.
Allen's face is that of sadness, guilt, regret and slight horror.
Igneous isn't sure what's going on. He looks back to the beasts as the two human looking beasts begin to advance.
Allen doesn't raise his weapon to attack as he is lost in the pain and the memories of what had happened.
Igneous begins to get scared that they are going to be killed or changed makes him know he needs to snap Allen back to reality. He looks up to Allen's face again only to tug on his pant leg. "Allen!" He calls the others name.
So far nothing.
"Allen!" Igneous tugs a little harder.
The beasts are coming closer luckily at a slower pace as they probably saw the weapon thus trying to be cautious of this thing they haven't seen before.
Though it is possible that these two beasts fear being hurt or killed so they kept their human form for longer than they probably need to or longer than other beasts will keep their human form.
Allen is still lost in painful memories.
"Allen!" Igneous now gently shakes Allen as hard as he can.
Finally Allen comes back to reality and he realizes that the beasts are getting closer and closer.
Allen raises the weapon up. "I'm sorry Jared." He says then fires the weapon.
The beasts screech and they stumble back.
Allen grabs Igneous's hand and dashes forward running right past the beasts as they start to shed their human forms to show their true beast forms.
Even after a little of running even turning a corner or two Allen doesn't stop.
Until Igneous stumbles and Allen suddenly acts like he's just noticed that they've gone far enough.
Allen slows to a stop.
Igneous is happy that they have finally stopped letting him rest for a moment. He sits on the ground and is panting a little worse than Allen. He glances to Allen noticing that the other won't really look at him. He notices a tear fall from Allen's face downwards to the ground.
Allen is crying.
Igneous wants to comfort the other and isn't fully sure how. He reaches over and grips Allen's pant leg. He gently tugs on it and Allen quickly wipes his eyes before turning to the other. He gestures for Allen to come closer.
Curious Allen moves down to kneeling beside the other wondering what it is that Igneous needs.
Igneous suddenly quickly moves forward and wraps his arms around Allen's neck in a hug.
Allen is surprised but slowly hugs back.
Igneous hugs him for a good amount of time then pulls back enough to see a smile, a small one but noticeable, is on Allens face making the younger smile feeling proud.
"Thank you Igneous." Allen says very grateful. "It feels nice to have been hugged again."
Igneous is now grinning in pride. "Hugs always help!" He says.
Allen smiles a small bit more and nods. "Yes they help a lot of people." He agrees. "Now let's get back to work." He says and stands. "Are you ready?"
Igneous nods as he is still standing.
"Alright let's go."
The two begin their journey to go to try to find Near to rescue him.
…
Near sighs as he realizes that there is no way to get himself loose.
Even though his friends need him he can't get out.
Darker Near really has him where he can't escape.
So he comes up with another plan.
They are in the building right?
So then he just needs to try to get their attention.
He opens his mouth. "Hello?" He tries but it comes out quiet and hoarse.
Maybe if he keeps trying he can get it.
"Anyone?" He tries speaking again but it's not much better.
This doesn't make him give up to wait longer as he keeps trying.
It takes a few tries before Near gets his voice loud enough to be used to try to get someone's attention.
"Help!" He calls out though his voice is still sounding scratchy or hoarse. "Is anyone there?" He hopes that one of his friends are close enough to hear him.

Mello's heart sinks and eyes widen as he realizes that he has 'rescued' the wrong Near.
Darker Near chuckles and with a snap of his fingers he goes back to how he really looks. "Ah yes that is much better." He says with a smirk.
Mello raises the weapon getting ready to attack darker Near. "Where is Near!" He demands with a glare.
Darker Near chuckles again only to speak after. "Oh any why would I help you?" He questions.
Mello glares harder at darker Near. "You had better tell me or I will kill you." He snarls at darker Near. "Now I'll ask again." He growls in a stern voice. "Where is Near?"
Darker Near lets out a low grumble Mello thinks is a growl as the darker's face falls to anger. "I will never answer to you." He says with a low warning in his tone.
Mello's eyes narrow in rage. "I SAID TO FUCKING TELL ME WHERE NEAR IS!"
Darker Nears smirk comes back after he hums for a moment. "Well you should know that soon your efforts will all be a waste." He chuckles bringing a hand up to his mouth like an evil person would when chuckling before lowering his hand to his side. "Speaking of Near." He smirks a little wider. "I do think that it is time that I take care of him so I can remain free forever." He turns walking towards an area thick with shadows.
Mello chases after him. "Oh no you don't!" He finds himself slamming into a wall with darker Near nowhere. He growls and slams one hand against the wall. He turns and sees beasts moving to surround him. "You will not stop me." He says lowly in a very very dangerous tone. "I WILL SAVE NEAR!" He screams as he raises his weapon getting ready to take down the beasts at least enough for him to get away to try to find Near before darker Near can do anything.
