Chapter thirty two:
Matt and Kaori are knocked back onto the ground. Matt by being the one that walked into mostly Near, causing the other to hit Allen's leg making him stumble, and Kaori is slightly knocked down by Matt as he falls back.
Near falls onto Matt finding himself pretty much laying across Matt almost like making a lower case t and Allen manages to catch himself with the wall while Igneous skids to a stop before he crashes into anyone.
The weapon was knocked out of Matt's hands but Kaori catches it as it pretty much is flung over to her.
The two groups ran into each other not fully paying attention.
Matt groans then opens his eyes that he had screwed shut to prepare for impact. He finds Near who also opens his eyes from also preparing for impact after the two ran into each other. "Near!" He suddenly and swiftly moves so he is hugging the younger. "I'm so glad you're ok!"
Near hugs back. "Same to you." He agrees.
"We need to get going." Allen reminds them. "I believe darker Near is heading for Mello."
Matt and Near break apart and get up along with Kaori. The other two males nod and after Kaori hands Matt the weapon the group begins their search for Mello.
Near just hopes that they will find him in time.
The group dashes with Near in the lead as they rush to try to find Mello before it's too late.

Darker Near has Mello against a wall.
Mello growls as his eyes narrow. "You."
"Prepare to be taken down by me!" Darker Near says in a very dark, evil and slightly low voice.
"Forget it!" Mello snarls and he shoves darker Near away with all of his force he can get behind it.
Once free Mello raises the weapon ready to attack.
Darker Near begins to advance in a very intimidating way.
Mello begins to pull the trigger to fire at darker Near.
The group turn the corner and spot the two not so very far off.
Near picks up the pace as his angered eyes focuses on darker Near. "Nam de domo patris mei mandabo tenebris mouit sicut ad pacem redire mihi ille animus! Quod dico facies!" He shouts.
Darker Near, hearing Near's words, turns to look to Near with narrowed eyes and clenched teeth mixed with a low growl.
Mello lets go of the trigger not wanting to end up hitting Near.
Darker Near begins to move but as Near finishes shouting the words then the jewel glows.
Near skids to a stop just before the jewel began to glow.
Darker Near roars and tries to head to get out by hoping to use darkness to escape.
But he can only just barely touch the darkness by his fingertips of his out stretched hand reaching towards the darkness before the jewel begins to act like a vacuum that creates wind though only begins to suck in darker Near.
"No!" Darker Near strains towards the darkness only to fall forward to the ground. He tries his best to grip the floor to try to resist from being sucked into the jewel. "NO!" He screeches and his legs starting with his feet begins to dissipate into black sand like dust that is being seen being sucked into the jewel as his body seems to dissipate into this black sand like dust. "NO!" Is his last word before he loses his grip and is sucked completely into the jewel.
As the last little bit of darker Near goes into the jewel the suction leaves to nothing only for the jewel to stop glowing finishing the seal with a small gleam.
Mello drops the weapon and rushes over to Near throwing his arms around the other. "You're alright!" He says very happily as he feels so much better knowing the other is ok.
Near hugs back. "Only thanks to all of you coming after me." He responds.
There is low rumbling making Mello and Near take a step back away from each other and around the corner comes two beasts one in human form the other in beast form.
"Maybe this isn't the best time to be celebrating." Matt says.
"Yes. Let's get out of here." Mello agrees rushing to grab the weapon. He steps back to a protective position in front of Near.
Allen and Matt also raise their weapons as Igneous and Kaori hide behind them.
"That's Bethan." Kaori says pointing to the one in human form who is a boy who can't be older than Kaori or Igneous.
The beast in the human form has dark brown hair that if in dimmer lighting could be mistaken for black. His face is tan and has a skinny frame. The clothes are light brown kayak pants, a dark brownish green shirt with dark grey thin stripes and black runners that have white laces along with white bottoms.
"He used to play with me on the playground at school." Kaori explains and is about to start to move towards the other. "Hey Bethan. It's me. Kaori."
Matt quickly moves a hand out and gently brings Kaori, holding her shoulder, to back to behind him. "He's not the person you knew. He is evil now." He explains. "Just stay behind me." He turns back to the two beasts as they begin to advance.
Mello fires and hits the beasts.
The human form one begins to start to shed it's human skin while the other is screeching stumbling back from being hit by the flames.
The group take this moment to dash on past rushing to find the quickest way out.
On instinct since Near knows his way around they all let Near take the lead.
They follow him through the turns in the building as he leads them to the closest way out he knows.
Mello slightly growls as Allen gets a little closer to Near then Mello himself.
Near glances back slightly as he hears the growl.
Mello advances and moves to try to keep Allen from getting closer to Near.
It's obvious the gap between the two and Mello seems to just be completely putting up this wall between himself and Allen.
"Guys." Near says and the two turn to look to him. "What's with the tense air between you two? Isn't it obvious neither of you intend harm on each other or anyone in the group? Yet you act like enemies." He frowns. "It's not a nice thing to see."
Mello and Allen glance slightly away and down as Near speaks.
"You both are survivors and you both look out for the wellbeing of the group. You are not enemies you are allies." Near says.
Mello looks up with an apologetic look after Near's words sink in. "Sorry." He says.
Allen returns the look. "I'm sorry too."
Near smiles. "Now let's do this together as a team."
The two turn to him with determined looks only to nod.
They all turn back to where they are going.
Matt smiles. "Near knows what to say to help those two before things could have gone south pretty fast." He says to himself. "To be expected."
They continue to follow Near and though there is some tension still between Mello and Allen the feeling of it has gone down enough to show that it has begun its path to being what it was before that gap of tension between them opened like a sudden sinkhole.
But as they turn a corner then suddenly a beast leaps down onto Matt.
This makes the others stop, Kaori is knocked backward away from Matt, only to turn as the beast towers over Matt.
Allen being the closest dashes forward and slams his body into the beasts tumbling off to the side with it causing him to lose his weapon in the process as it clatters to the ground.
Matt notices that his and Allen's weapons have ended up right by each other. He rolls over grabbing what he is sure is his weapon only to get to his feet after rolling.
But before anyone can move or do something to try to help Allen… The beast stabs Allen in the throat with one of it's legs.
Matt keeps Kaori and Igneous back trying to keep them from seeing this as Mello and Near dash forward to try to hopefully help the raven.
Near picks up the weapon that is still on the floor.
Mello and Near raise the weapons and fire at the beast.
The beast screeches as the attack is now doubled as the two males hit the beast with the flames coming from the weapons they are holding. It falls over onto the side like it has become this frozen thing that is now burned giving off the heavy smell of burning flesh.
Allen however takes his final gurgling breath before his chest goes down as his eyes go lifeless.
Mello and Near skid to a stop and they swear they can see a flash of another male who judging from the look of pure love the two are giving each other laced with happiness is Allen's lover.
Allen's lover reaches down to take Allen's hand as if going to lead him to the sky where heaven lives not visible to the naked human eye on Earth.
Then as soon as their hands link the image of the two disappear.
It's too late.
It won't work… Allen is already dead….. He is already dead.
They grab some rocks that are pieces of the building that have fallen apart and burry Allen's body so hopefully the beasts won't try to eat it or anything.
Once done they continue on their way.
Near in the lead, Mello following behind him and Matt with the two youngest ones in tow behind the two.
They finally see an exit up ahead and they burst out of the building once again being outside.
The sun seems to have begun to move into the sky once again.
They make it to where the group hid before heading in to look for Near. They take a break there especially since the younger two will need it most.
After a few moments of rest Near brings a hand to the jewel gently gripping the sides of it with only his thumb, pointer and middle finger.
The jewel gives a soft shimmering light then a figure appears standing in front of Near.
The figure is that of someone who would be about three years younger than Near. His hair pulled back in a ponytail and is obviously longer than Nears hair but is snowy white like Nears hair. He is wearing tight black pants, black tie up boots that go up just past his ankles and a grey button up shirt that is like Near's only with the sleeves rolled up to past the elbows. He has these smoky grey eyes that do not look pleased. "It's about time." The human like figure's voice is that of darker Near's.
Obviously this figure is darker Near probably now in the form that he now has to take now that Near has captured him.
"Well we should follow the tradition." Near says.
The rest except Near and the darkness turn to look confused.
Near decides to explain. "Nicknaming the darkness is a tradition so we can call upon the darkness without really raising suspicion." He explains slightly glancing around to the others.
The others give this 'Oh now I understand' look as they do get it now that Near has explained it.
Near turns back to the darkness now namelessly standing there.
The darkness rolls his eyes with a grunt of annoyance. "I had better not be named anything stupid like Nera or something." He grumbles.
Near shares a small smirk with Mello.
