Chapter 22
Kagome POV
We ran as fast as Sesshomaru could. I could see the miasma moving around us. He was right when he said his yokai kept the miasma off me. I nuggled into his fur, it was so farm and soft. I closed my eyes thinking maybe I could just rest for a moment, but I was soon fast asleep.
Sesshomaru POV
I felt her fall asleep against me and my beast smiled wanting to stop and curl up around her. I had a mission though so I kept up my pace in this form me and my beast were one which meant this was harder to do.
I heard the fighting before I got there. Seeing the monk and taija I move above them to keep the miasma off them, Kagome would be sad if they died. I see my brother and jump at him knocking him and Kanna who he was fighting down.
I pick the both of them up in my mouth before I turned seeing the Taija ready to throw her boomerag at me. I heard movement on my back and I knew Kagome had woken up.
"Sango! Don't worry, Sesshomaru isn't here to fight with Inuyasha."
"Then why is he holding a knocked out Inuyasha in his mouth."
"Sesshomaru! Don't eat him!"
"Kagome, I will not eat him, but I suggest we get away from here before he wakes up and tries to fight me. I will not fight back with you on my back in danger."
"Sango, we are heading away from here."
Once Kagome had told the taija we were leaving I turned and kept running till I heard Inuyasha waking up. I drop him in a clearing laying down to let Kagome down.
"I need to turn back now to talk to Inuyasha."
"Fine, but I want out some time with mate."
"She is not my mate!"
I turn back to my humanoid form and placed my hand on Kagome's shoulder as she was walking towards the two I brought here. I would make sure it was safe first. I walked over and took the mirror away from Kanna and then turned to let Kagome know it was safe.
Kagome walked over and I asked her to take Inuyasha' sword. We stashed the sword and mirror away before returning as we walked up I could see Inuyasha looking around Kanna was still out but it looked like she had been hit.
A/N:Sorry I haven't been replying and posting, I had my grandmother die at the begining of the month then I had SAT and now I've nearly taken one of my toes off with a shard of mirror the other day so i've had the best month ever
