Chapter 24

Kagome POV

As we walked along I sat on Ah-Un with Kanna on my lap. I kept glaring at Inuyasha who was glaring at Kanna. She held onto my arm tightly and I brushed her hair back and I looked her over for wounds from her fight before.

"Sesshomaru, could we stop at the next stream quickly? I want to wash Kanna's cuts out."

"hn."

I smiled at him, thanking him with my eyes. when we got to the next river I helped Kanna down and washed her wounds out. She kept looking at what I was doing with curious eyes.

"Miss Kagome, why are you doing this, even Kagura never did anything like this for me."

"Kanna, your still young, someone has to take care of you."

I patted her head as I stood up and she followed me back to the group. i felt her hid behind me when Inuyasha growled at her. I was about to sit him when Sesshomaru tripped him as he walked past.

I took Kanna's hand and walked past Inuyasha and over to Sesshomaru. Kanna seemed to be happier and I smiled.

"Thank you mama."

I heard what she said but it was so quiet. I knew she never had a mama so I would be her mama as long as she needed me.

Sesshomaru POV

I heard what the little void demon said, looking back I see her and Kagome and I nearly smiled, but didn't knowing it would just freak everyone out. Hearing her call Kagome mama made me think of the pups she and I would have once I killed Naraku, she would be a good mother.

I move over to Ah-Un helping Kagome up I then bent down and picked up Kanna letting her ride on my shoulders. She giggled and held onto me. I took Ah-Un's lead and started to walk towards my fortress. I heard the Taija and Monk following me right away with Inuyasha a couple steps after me.

When it started to get dark I decided to make camp to let Kagome and the others to rest. I put Kanna on the ground and Help Kagome down as the others start making a camp. I sit down under a tree watching everyone.

I look at Kanna as she held onto Kagome's arm making it harder for her to cook. It seemed me just looking at her Kanna looked over at me and walked over to me. She sat down beside me using my mokomoko as a pillow.

"Thank you papa."

I looked at Kanna as she said that before falling asleep, I moved my mokomoko over her to keep her warm, she looked alot like Rin and was the same age as her. With her white hair and pale skin she could be my daughter.

Kagome joined us after she ate and I wrap one arm around her holding her to me with Kanna in the middle of us. When I felt they were both asleep I wrapped my mokomoko around them.

I turn and move off finding a deer I ate quickly and then returned. Upon my return I saw Inuyasha and Kanna were gone. I follow thier smell to the river and see Inuyasha beating her up. I move forward and threw him away from her. I lift her up and carry her back.

There were only another day till we got to my castle. I wanted it to be quicker so I could get Inuyasha away from them all. He was to rough and imature
