Chapter 26

Kagome POV

I was sitting in the garden with the children showing them how to turn flowers into pins for the hair. Rin had made me three so far but Kanna was still on her first. I look over to her seeing her and shippo looking for white flowers. I stand as I look off to the sunset, It had been almost a weeks since he had left.

"Come on Children, you can continue these tomorrow, it's time for us to head in."

I look once more to the gate before I sigh and turn around walking back inside with them. I sit down at the front of the table as the kids take their seats for dinner. Sango and Miroku had gone after them so it was only me and Jaken here with the kids.

I couldn't believe Inuyasha agreed with Sesshomaru for me to stay here with the shards, sure, it was better for me to stay but what if something happened.

Once we were done with dinner I stood and took them to bed. The night was beautiful so I took the time to lay out in the garden looking up at the stars and the moon. It's crescent form reminded me of Sesshomaru's mark.

Suddenly Miasma poured over the roof tops and down into the garden. I stand and turn seeing a demon there, it had three shards in it's forehead. Before i could even notice it moved I was in it's jaws and we were up into the sky. I couldn't breathe from the miasma and soon passed out.

Sesshomaru POV

It had taken us a week to get here but now we were ready to attack when a demon took to the sky from the top of the castle. I could tell It wasn't Naraku so we let it go, it had the form of a giant cat.

The Taija and Monk went over the wall and then let us in through a side gate, we had seen humans move in and out during the daytime and the others didn't want them hurt. The garden was covered with miasma. We would have limited time.

As we approach the door to the throne room we hear a laughing beyond. Stepping inside we see Naraku standing there with his incarnations, minus Kanna. There was another demon, I was sure she wasn't a reincarnation of his for she was tied up next to the throne.

"Welcome to Kait Castle, This kind princess has lent me it by my asking."

"Naraku, You are gonna die here!"

Inuyasha dove at him as I moved around the side. I take out tokijin and when he dodged Inuyasha's attack I was able to slash his back. We fought this way till he pulled back and set up his barrier.

Just as Inuyasha was about to break through it with the red tessaiga the demon that had left before jumped in from above. I look to it's mouth to see Kagome there. My eyes start to drift red as she is tossed to Naraku's feet before the demon turns into his human form.

"I brought the girl like you asked, no let my sister go."

"Like I would let her go, I like her right where whe is now."

Kagura moves up and slices the cat into a thousand pieces. She then moves up towards us as Naraku gather all the shards together.

"It is finally complete I can make my wish!"

Kagome POV

I open my eyes and see Naraku above me, the whole jewel in his hand. He looks down at me and smiles. grabbing me by the neck he lifts me up as I try to get away.

"All that is left for the wish, is the blood of the Shikon Miko!"

I look down to see his arm go through me. I cough up blood onto the jewel and it glows dark before the two of us were wrapped in light. We arrived in a world of limitlessness, it seems to go on forever. Thousands of demons moved around us and before us was Midoriko.

"I wish to become full demon and have the power to rule the world!"

Naraku let me fall to the ground as Midoriko nodded. She moved forward and touched his forehead as he was surrounded in light before he was gone along with all the demons. She then turned to me and touched my forehead.

"Naraku should have been more detailed, he didn't say which world, he will be forever trapped in this one, Shikon Miko, I have healed you, what is your wish."

"I want peace and for everyone hurt by Naraku to have their wrongs righted."

"As you wish, it shall be."

I smiled before closing my eyes as I was wrapped in the light again, disappearing from that world.

Sesshomaru POV

The arm sticking out of Kagome's back was the last straw, my eyes bled red but before I could attack a black glow surrounded Naraku and Kagome, they were gone. I hurry up there looking around, only seeing a few drops of blood on the ground.

"Kagome no!"

I turn toward Kagura, my beast in control wanted to destroy everything that lead to Kagome hurt so, badly, I know the wound she recieved would be deadly, and I was not there to revive her with Tenseiga.

I move forward taking Kagura's arm off with one sweep of tokijin I wanted to make it as painful as possible for her. As I swing down to take off the next body part a glow surrounds me. Arms move around me, I stop moving as I catch the smell of who it was.

"Sesshomaru, calm down, I'm safe."

I turn around pulling her into my arms holding her tight I rest my head against hers as I let a tear slip from my eye. I hold onto her warmth tightly as if I let her go she would be gone.

"Kagome, you are never allowed to do that again."

"I promise, I wont, let's go home."
