The gong rang for Talia's meeting and we all went to the foyer. Though, Bane, Talia, Barsad, and I went to the front of the crowd. After, Talia said that everyone was present Bane looked over the horde of members and stepped forward. The quiet hum of conversation that was present in the room slowly quiets down as everyone turns their attention to Bane.
Clearing his throat he steps forward, "Most of you know about the recent mission to Gotham City, but not many know of its failure. The very man who burned down our base in Bhutan, killed all those involved with the mission in Gotham," Bane pauses, "including our leader, Ra's al Ghul. Because of this tragedy I have taken up the position as Leader. If any oppose, please step forward and express said opposition. Though, I would advise you against such unwise actions."
There's a murmur among the crowd and a man has the audacity to actually come forward. His eyes are narrowed at Bane and his face is expressionless.
"You dare challenge my claim as leader?"
"Yes, I do."
"Then you shall be an example for the rest."
Brief realization crosses the man's face, but it's too late for him to do anything other than accept his fate. Bane rushes forward and places his palms on both sides of the man's face. Head firmly in his grasp, he swiftly jerks his head to the side, snapping his neck. He lets go of the now lifeless man and he falls to the ground between Bane and the rest of the crowd.
"Is there anyone else who would like to oppose?" Bane waits for another brave soul to come forth, but none wish to join the corpse on the floor.
"AS your leader I expect you all to go about your daily routines as you were before. If the need for any of you shall arise I expect you to be where I want, when I want. And if you aren't the consequences will be much worse than what this man faced," he says nudging the body with his foot, "For now you are dismissed."
Once everyone, but the four of us had filed out, I stepped towards him, "You handled that rather well."
"I think the message was received. Barsad go dispose of this body outside," he says looking down at the deceased man with disgust. Barsad gives an annoyed huff, but does what Bane said and hoists the body over his shoulder. We wait on Barsad to get back before Talia leads us to the mess hall.
Author's Note: I apologize for all of the grammatical errors in the previous two chapters I've posted. I promise I do grammar check and everything. I just never notice until I've already posted them and I would go back and correct my errors, but I don't want you guys to get bombarded with emails from where I've fixed my mistakes. I also have a question. Do you guys prefer shorter chapters more frequently or longer chapters somewhat periodically? I really need feedback on this so I know what would be better for ya'll.
