Wade looked up at Zoe when she said that. He couldn't believe what he just heard. "Are you? How can you? What?" he stumbled over his words in shock.

Zoe smiled down at him. Tears were flowing down her cheek that Wade couldn't figure out if they have been there the whole time or not. "Of course I'll marry you." She put her hands on his face and brought him up to her. She kissed him and when she pulled away she started laughing. "I was kidding. How did you think I was serious?" she whispered

"That was mean Doc, like really mean. I should take it back."

"No please don't, I love you but I had to. You were to confident down there." She laughed

"Oh was I?" Wade asked scooping her up in his arms and planting a kiss on her lips.

Zoe giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Uh huh. But I love it. It was perfect, you are perfect. She kissed him again. "This proposal came with a ring right?" she paused "Daddy ring." She said

"What?" Wade asked putting her down

"Daddy ring, it all makes sense now."

"You saw Wyatt?"

"I did." She smiled "I was so confused but Earl made it like he was talking about the phone."

Wade shook his head. "I knew he couldn't keep a secret. I'm sorry."

"What are you sorry for? I had no idea what he was talking about. Where is my ring?" she asked realizing she still didn't have it.

"Oh right." Wade looked around for the ring box, he didn't even realize he dropped it. He picked up the box and opened it again.

"Wade it's gorgeous." Zoe said breathless "Tiffany? Are you kidding me? Wade how could you afford this?"

"Don't worry about it. You're worth every penny." He pulled the ring out of the box and held his hand out for Zoe's. She gave it to him and he slid it on.

The tears were flowing again. "It's beautiful."

"Wyatt picked it actually."

"Aww my baby. I love it, I love you, I love him." She kissed him again

"I love you too. Shall we eat?"

"It looks delicious. Is Wyatt coming home?"

"Nope, Dad's keeping him."

"Well I will drink to that." She took a sip of her champagne. After a few minutes of silence, both of them processing everything that just happened she spoke up again. "I can't believe we're engaged. How did you know?"

"That you were ready? You told me last night."

"I did?" she asked shocked

"Yeah, you were pretty passed out but you told me we should be closer. I can take a hint Babe." He winked at her.

"And you got all this done in less than twenty-four hours?"

"Well not to sound too awesome but, I planned all this in like 6 hours."

"Oh sorry." She laughed "I can't believe this." She smiled looking down at the ring.

"I still can't believe you had to jerk me around like that. That was mean."

"I'm sorry, it was funny though."

"I'm so glad you think that. We'll see where that gets you later." He glared at her.

"Now that is mean." She tossed a piece of bread at him and laughed.

"Oh we're throwing food now? I'm pretty sure that's a no no and gets you two minutes in time out."

"Oh yeah? You going to put me there?"

Wade didn't say a word. He just got up from the table and pulled her out of her chair and flung her over his shoulder. Zoe was hysterical laughing all the way up the stairs.

"Please don't drop me." She laughed as Wade smacked her butt.

"Never." Wade laughed walking into their bedroom. He tossed her onto the bed and climbed on top of her. "I love you." He kissed her

"I love you too, fiancé." She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her.

A couple hours later they were just lying in bed, Zoe's head on Wade's chest, listening to his heartbeat as he played with her hair.

"I could listen to this forever." She whispered

"Well lucky for you, a couple hours ago you bought yourself a life sentence with me."

Zoe just laughed and snuggled up closer to him. "Let's not rush this ok? I want to get the house in order, and then we can plan the wedding?"

"Whatever works for you, works for me." He kissed her head.

The next morning Zoe woke up and decided to cook breakfast. She smiled at a sleeping Wade next to her and then snuck out of the bedroom. She walked downstairs and into the dining room. She smiled looking at the dining room that was still covered in rose petals. She did however forget about the mess they left and now had to scrub dishes at some point today.

"They'll have to wait until after breakfast." She shrugged and continued to the kitchen.

Wade woke up to an empty bed but the smell of bacon. He opened his eyes and looked around the room. Memories of the night before made him smile as he climbed out of bed searching for his shirt. He walked downstairs and his smile spread when he saw Zoe at the counter cutting up some fruit. He snuck up behind her and wrapped his arms around.

"Morning fiancé" he whispered kissing her cheek.

"Good morning." She leaned against him. "Sleep well?"

"I did. Breakfast smells amazing."

"Thanks." She turned around and held a piece of strawberry in front of his mouth and he took it.

"Yum" he kissed her again. "Do we have to get the kid?"

"Yes, I miss him. But we can wait a couple hours. Now go sit, breakfast is ready."

"We left our mess last night." Wade laughed peeking into the dining room

"I know, I'll have pans to scrub later."

"You bought like twelve of them, we could probably just throw it out."

She laughed "I guess. When do Lavon and AB come home? It's been 2 weeks right?"

"Yeah I think they come home tonight. Have you heard from either one of them?"

"Nope just when they got there, I bet they had a great time."

"I would imagine so, it is their honeymoon and all."

After a few minutes of silence Zoe looked up at Wade. "Last night was amazing. Thank you so much."

"It was my pleasure." He leaned over and gave her a kiss. "You working today? It's like nine o'clock."

"Is it? Oh crap. I didn't even think about work." She rushed up from the table and ran up the stairs.

Wade laughed and shook his head. "I guess I'm cleaning dishes today."

Zoe was back down stairs in a record 20 minutes. "I love you, bye." She gave him a quick kiss and ran towards the door.

"Love you too." He called back. "Why can she never get ready that quick when I have somewhere to be?"

"I heard that." She called before slamming the door shut."

Wade got to work cleaning up breakfast and dinner from the night before. He took one look at the pan with the caked on grease from the night before and just chucked it in the garbage.

"Good morning Brick. Oh Hi Lemon. How are you both?" Zoe greeted with a giant smile

Brick and Lemon both looked at Zoe as if she was crazy. "Are you ok Dr. Hart?" Lemon asked

"I am amazing. How are you?" She asked again

"Doing fine." Brick answered with a smile and walked into his office.

Lemon looked Zoe up and down. "Something is different." She said and then her eyes bugged "Oh my. Is that what I think it is?" she looked at Zoe's hand

Zoe lit up like a Christmas tree. "Yes" she squealed and held her hand out for Lemon to see the ring better. "Isn't it amazing?"

"When did he ask? How did he ask? Where is he? Why aren't you with him? That ring is gorgeous, he did so good. Who else knows?"

Zoe laughed at all the questions being yelled at her. "Last night, he made dinner, he's home, I have to work, thank you, yes he did and no one. Well Earl probably has a good guess, he has Wyatt."

Lemon wrapped Zoe in a hug "Congratulations. It's about time. I want to hear all about it, every detail."

"Every detail?" Zoe winked

"Well no, you can stop after you said yes, I don't need to hear about the celebrating."

Zoe laughed and told Lemon the whole story, including Wyatt telling her about the ring.

"That's adorable and so romantic. When is the wedding?"

"Oh my gosh, please don't start. Not for a while. I have to much going on to plan a wedding."

"Ugh you guys move like snails."

"Ok 15 years." Zoe teased

"Shut up." Lemon laughed

"How are you two?"

"We're good, going to dinner tonight actually. Now the town will have something else to talk about besides George and me. You two will be the talk of the town again. Dash has been dying for a story on the Zade front for months now. I'm surprised y'all buying the house didn't generate much buzz."

"Well maybe people just don't care about us anymore"

"No, that's not it. It just came at the same time as, what is it, Lemorge?" she laughed "They are just more interested in couples than houses."

"Hopefully they all won't go to crazy."

"Good luck with that. People have been wagering on this engagement for months now. But I have to go, check on the delivery to Fancies. You have a wonderful day. Once AB comes home and settled we will have to have a celebratory girls night."

"Sounds perfect. I'll see you later."

Zoe went about her day with a giant smile on her face. Since she wore gloves for most of her patients no one noticed her ring. That was until lunch time when she walked to the Rammer Jammer. She walked in and took her normal seat at the bar. Wade came out from the back room and a smile spread across his lips.

"Hey Babe." He greeted with a kiss across the bar.

"Hi Sweetie. I thought you were staying home today."

"I was but Logan is sick so I'm here. Dad kept Wy." He was fiddling with the ring on her finger and smiling down at it. "How many people noticed? Cause no one has come in here yelling about it." He brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it.

Zoe beamed at his actions. "No one actually, Lemon is the only one that I told."

"That I heard. I got a text that I could actually hear her squeal as I read it." He chuckled

"Dad knows?"

"Yeah, I told him when I asked him to keep Wyatt. He wasn't surprised."

"I didn't think he would be. You have to call Jesse."

"I will. Maybe have them over for dinner Saturday?"

"Yeah, that would be nice. I have to call Mom too."

Wade nodded and was about to speak when he heard a squeal from behind him.

"Are you two engaged?" Wanda screamed and the entire restaurant went quiet.

"Could you talk any louder?" Wade laughed

"I could, now answer my question." Wanda yelled again

"Yes, we are." Zoe beamed

"You heard it here first folks Zade are finally engaged." Dash said into is microphone walking up to Zoe and Wade. "Congratulations you two, when's the big day?"

"We don't have one yet Dash, we only got engaged 18 hours ago." Wade told him

"Ok fine, how did it happen? Where did you propose Wade?"

"Well I asked her and she said yes. We were home."

"That's all you're going to give me isn't it?"

"Yes, now let my fiancé eat in peace please."

The whole crowd smiled hearing Wade call Zoe his fiancé. You couldn't hear a word being said by anyone as everyone was talking about the newly engaged couple.

"And we've now topped Lemon and George." Zoe joked

"Oh yay. Just what I wanted."

"Ma…. Doc Woey." Wyatt yelled running towards her.

"There's my baby boy." She lifted him up on her lap and he clung to her. "I missed you." She kissed his cheek.

"Miss you. Hi Da." He waved to Wade.

"Where is my hug and kiss? Or am I not as special as Mama?" he joked

"I hug." He reached across the bar and quickly hugged Wade and kissed him. "My Woey." He sat back down on Zoe and she wrapped her arms around himself.

"Someone really missed his Mama." Earl smiled sitting down next to her. "He asked for you about a hundred times. That and Daddy ring." He chuckled "Congratulations you two."

"Daddy ring." Wyatt said playing with the ring now on Zoe's hand.

"Yep, and I heard you helped pick it out. It's so pretty." Zoe squeezed the little boy on her lap and kissed his head.

Wyatt laughed and ran his finger over the ring. "Petty." He said.

"That's Mama's ring now." Wade told Wyatt.

"Mama ring." Wyatt giggled

"Mama." Dash whispered to Stanley. "I guess they're going public with that now too. I've heard Wyatt say it a few times but they always seemed to correct him."

"Yeah, I have noticed that." Stanley shrugged "They are a precious family."

Zoe's phone buzzed with a text from Brick. "Hey, my one afternoon patient canceled. I'm done for the day." She smiled "Sorry Dad, he's mine now."

"Not a problem. I could use a nap." Earl joked. "He's tiring. Just like his father and his uncle."

Zoe smiled "You want to spend the afternoon with Mama?" she asked Wyatt

"Yes." He clapped

After they all ate lunch, Zoe and Wyatt walked home. Wyatt ran up the driveway and stumbled up the step.

"Ouch." He yelled and looked at his knee "Boo boo." He told her Zoe

"Uh oh, you're ok."

"Got boo boo." He argued trying to roll up his jeans.

Zoe knelt down in front of him and slid his pant leg up. "You did a number on your jeans but it's just a scrape, you'll survive. Let's go get that cleaned up." She lifted him up and carried him in the house. By the time she got him to the bathroom his knee was bleeding. "I guess you're my afternoon patient." She started wiping his leg and cleaning off the scrape."

"Ouch, stop." He argued trying to push her away.

"No, we have to clean it up and get a bandage on it." She continued to wipe it up

Wyatt finally let her finish and put on a bandage. "Truck." He pointed to the bandage. Zoe put him down and he started to walk away. "Ouch." He said as he stepped with his injured leg. "Up." He reached for Zoe.

"You are fine. Let's go play." She took his hand and led him into the living room.

After a few hours Zoe went into the kitchen to make dinner. Wade came in a little while later and walked into the living room. He looked at his son playing on the floor with a stethoscope in his ears, a hammer in his hand and he was banging on a car.

"What are you doing Son?" Wade asked squatting next to him

"Hi Daddy. I fixin car." He told him

"With a hammer and a stethoscope." He chuckled "I think you're a little confused."

"I Doc Wyatt." He told him

"Oh." He smiled "Are you a car doctor?"

"Yes." He continued to hammer the car.

Wade shook his head and walked into the kitchen. "Hello Fiancé." He waved

Zoe looked up from the stove. "Hi, I love the sound of that. How was your day?"

"It was good. Have you checked on Wyatt in the last couple minutes?"

"No why? What is he doing?" she asked in a panic

Wade laughed "Nothing this time. But he looks pretty cute."

Zoe put down the spoon and walked into the living room. Wyatt was in the same position Wade left him in. "Awww" she gushed

"He said he's Doc Wyatt and he's a car doctor."

"That's adorable." She leaned up against Wade and put her hand on his chest. "He's so smart."

They watched as Wyatt got up and walked over to his play kitchen. He took two cups and put them together and proceeded to shake them and then pretend to pour into a third cup. He then took a napkin and cleaned the other two.

"Now he's a bartender." She laughed

"We're in trouble with this one." Wade laughed

Wyatt looked up at Zoe and Wade and laughed "Hi" he walked over to them and then sat down. He lifted up his pant leg and showed Wade his bandage. "Daddy boo boo." He told him

"What did you do?" Wade asked kneeling down

"Wyatt fell." He told him

"Oh well I'm sure Wyatt is fine." Wade tickled his side.

"Dinner's ready." Zoe called from the kitchen

"Time for food." Wade said picking up Wyatt and throwing him in the air.

"Please stop that." Zoe freaked

"Quit freakin out." Wade kissed her "He's fine. I'll always catch him."

"I know you will. Let's eat."

"Lavon texted me right before I came home. Said they were home but exhausted. They'll see us tomorrow."

"Ok, did you tell him?"

"No. I value my life." He joked "I invited them over for breakfast. They'll be here around ten."

"Oh yay. That will be fun. What do you want to do tonight?"

"Well.." he winked and started rubbing her arm with his thumb.

"Wade, seriously?" she giggled

"Why not? You can't use him as an excuse, he sleeps like a log."

Zoe thought "I can't really come up with one." She kissed him.
