Chapter 5: Saving Alakey/Alex

During the night, Alex woke up with extreme pain in his chest. He felt like he was on fire. He screamed in pain while clutching his chest. His scream got his father's attention as well as the penguins and his friends. Alex's father hurry next to him.

"Are you ok, Alakey?" Zuba asked in a worry tone.

All Alex could do is shake his head as telling his father he's not. Zuba began to worry some more and doesn't know how to comfort his son. Kowalski checked him over while not to damage Alex.

"Kowalski, how is he?" Skipper said.

"Well, we got to move the bullet from him, if not then he will be dead within three days." Kowalski said.

This made Zuba more fearful for his son's life.

"Alakey will die in three days." Zuba thought in fear while trying to control his tears.

"Well, are you guys going to save him or not?" Gloria asked.

"Well if we do surgery now there will be twenty percent chance that he'll survive." Kowalski said.

"Oh man, that's not crackaliken." Marty said.

Zuba on the other hand became more and more worry the minute Kowalski said that twenty percent that his son will survived. Alex open one of his eyes and looked at his father. His eyes were pleading his father to help him. Zuba staring at Alakey's pleading eyes and know what to do.

"I want you guys to save him, penguins." Zuba said making Alex's friends gasped.

"But sir, he said that..." Melmen said but got cut off by Zuba.

"I know it's risky, but Alakey is strong. I have faith in him." Zuba said looking at his son.

Alex's friends looked at each other and back to Zuba. Zuba is right about their friend. Skipper looked at Zuba and Alex's friends.

"So be it we'll take the bullet out, but you guys need to go outside." Skipper said.

Alex heard it and look at his father. Zuba looked at him and give him a reasure looked.

"It's going to be ok, Alakey. Be strong for us, especially your mother. I will be by your side when their done." Zuba said.

"Thanks daddy." Alex said smiling.

Zuba smiled when Alakey said daddy, he felt like he missed that word from his son.

"Love you, Alakey, son." Zuba said.

"Love you as well, dad." Alex said.

Zuba stood up and left with Alex's friends. Taking one last look at his son before Zuba stepped out of the tent.
