I am so sorry it took me almost 3 months to update! I really hope everyone is still interested in the story and I hope to have updates up regularly again.

"Yes?" Wade asked

"The surgery went very well and she is now in recovery. You can follow me."

"Thank you so much." Wade said as they left the room and headed down the hall towards recovery.

"She's awake and we've started all the proper medications. She will stay in the hospital for about 3 days, because it did in fact rupture, she has draining tubes still attached and those will be removed in about 2 days."

"But she's going to be ok?" he asked

The doctor smiled "Yes, she's going to be perfectly fine." He opened a door. "Right through here."

Wade walked in and over to the bed Zoe was lying in. She turned to face him and smiled. Wade kissed her forehead.

"Hi Babe." He whispered.

"Where's Wyatt?" she asked

"Are you kidding?" he smiled a bit. "You just had surgery and your first remark is where's Wyatt?"

"Well they already filled me in, I'm going to be fine. Where is he?"

Wade rolled his eyes. "Lemon and George came and took him home."

"Is he ok?"

"Yes, he's fine. They texted when they got home, he was watching Mickey Mouse."

She smiled "Good."

"We're going to move you up to a room in about 45 minutes." The nurse told her

"Ok thank you." She smiled at her and turned back to Wade. "You ok?"

"Yes, I'm fine. Can you worry about yourself instead me and Wyatt though Dr. Hart." He smirked

"I'll try."

"I'm going to go call everyone. I'll be back." He kissed her again "I love you."

"I love you too."

Wade called Lemon and George first and then Earl and Jesse. Lavon and AB were next and then her Mom.

"Hello?" Lavon answered

"Hey Lavon." Wade replied

"What's up?"

"Well, Zoe just had emergency surgery, her appendix burst. She's fine now, she's in recovery."

"What? Why didn't you call us sooner? You sure she's ok?"

"Yes she's fine, I just saw her. What would you have been able to do from up there anyway?"

"Well where is Wyatt?" he asked

"Lemon and George have him. Don't worry about anything. It's all under control."

"Alright, how long is she in the hospital for?"

"They said about 3 days."

"Ok, well we'll be home tomorrow evening, we can cut it short if you want?"

"No, it's all good. You enjoy. I'll talk to you later. I have to call her mom now."

"Ok, we'll see you tomorrow."

After Wade's 30 minute conversation with Candice, trying to prevent her from coming down and insisting that he has it all under control, she gave in but only if he promised to call her every day with an update. Now he had to go find Zoe. After going back to recovery and noticing she wasn't there he had to ask about five different nurses until someone finally knew what room she was taken too. He went up to the sixth floor and down to her room.

"Where were you?" she asked when he got in.

"I had a lot of phone calls to make. And your mom was insisting on flying down here right away to take care of her baby boy."

"Please tell me she's not coming."

"No, I finally talked her out of it."

"Oh thank god."

"So Doc, once you're home, how long is recovery?" he sat down in the chair next to her bed.

"A couple weeks I guess. I should be back to work and everything in 3 weeks or less."

"Well let's not push ourselves." He took her hand and kissed it. "I was so scared."

She smiled "I was too, you didn't seem that scared though."

"I was dying inside Babe. But I also knew I had to focus and keep an eye on Wyatt. If he wasn't here, I would have been a mess."

"I'm sorry. I really should have known but I was to worried about Wyatt and his bed and just figured I had a bug."

"It happens Doc. Don't worry about that. And now you'll have a sexy scar." He teased

"Ew." He giggled "Ow, don't make me laugh."

"Just saying." He winked "Why don't you get some sleep, it's late."

"I am tired. Are you going home?"

"No, I'll stay. Lemon and George have the monster under control."

"Good, I want you here."

The next morning after a very long night, both constantly being woken by nurses checking on Zoe, Wade was getting coffee. His cell phone rang as he was making his way back to Zoe's room. He reached in his pocket and when he pulled out. "Hello."

"Hey Wade, how's Zoe?" Annabeth asked

"Hey, she's ok. Still sleeping when I went to get coffee."

"I can't believe this happened. She's ok right?"

"Yeah, she'll be fine once she's healed. It will be a few weeks though."

"Anything you need, you know you can call. Lavon and I are heading home in a couple of hours."

"Thanks AB, we'll see what happens. I'm sure it will be a tough couple weeks."

"We're here for you."

"I appreciate it. I'll talk to you guys later."

"Ok Bye Wade, and take care of yourself too."

"I will. Bye." He hung up and walked into Zoe's room. "Morning Babe."

Zoe gave him a weak smile "Hi."

"You ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Don't lie to me. What's the matter?"

"Just some pain and I'm so tired still. You're supposed to rest in a hospital, not get woken up every hour."

Wade laughed "Yes, Dr. Hart. I wonder how many patients you have disturbed in your career."

"Shut up, I wasn't the one who was trying to rest."

Wade just shook his head and kissed her forehead. "You're crazy."

She smiled at him "Have you talked to Lemon or George?"

"No not yet, I'll call them in a bit. AB just called though. They'll be home tonight."

"Ok but can you call them now while I'm awake. I want to talk to Wy."

"You got it." He said taking his phone out and calling his house.

"Hello?" Lemon asked a little out of breath

"Hey Lemon, little guy wear you out yet?"

Lemon laughed "I am never having boys. How's Zoe"?

"She's good. Thanks for watching him, yes he can be a handful."

"He just has so much energy. He's been very good though."

"Good, is he around? Zoe wants to talk to him."

"Yeah, I think he's playing trucks with George. Wyatt." She called "Come talk to Mommy on the phone."

"Mama." Wyatt yelled and ran towards Lemon. She handed him the phone. "Mama?" he asked

"Hi Baby. How are you?"

"Miss you. You ick?"

"I miss you too. Yes, I'm still sick. But I'll be home soon. Are you being good for Aunt Lemon?"

"Yes and Uncle Tuck."

Zoe smiled "Yes and Uncle Tuck. I love you."

"Yuve you to. Where Daddy?"

"Daddy's here too. You want to talk to him?"

"No, I talk Mama."

"Oh well ok." She chuckled "Mama's gonna go though ok. I'll see you later. Daddy will be home soon."

"Mama come home."

"I'll be home in a couple days."

"Home now."

"I have to get better first, then I'll be home."

"Ok." He pouted

"Bye Buddy."

"Bye" he handed the phone back to Lemon and ran back to George.

"How are you Zoe?" Lemon asked

"I'm good now. Thank you so much for taking him. I don't know what I'd do without you guys."

"It's no problem at all. We're having fun."

"Good. I'll probably send Wade home in a little bit to relieve you guys."

"Whenever he gets here, you guys just worry about yourselves."

"Thanks Lemon, we'll talk to you soon."

"Feel better Zoe." She said

"Thanks, bye."

"Bye"

After Zoe hung up she looked over at Wade. "You think you can bring Wyatt up here?"

He turned to her. "I don't see why not but are you sure you want him here? He'll be a terror."

"I want my baby."

"I'll go get him in a little bit. I'll wait till after the doctor comes."

"Ok, sounds good."

Another hour later the doctor finally came in.

"Everything is looking good. You should be out of here in 3 days."

"Thanks" Zoe smiled as he left the room. "Can you go now?"

Wade smirked "Sure." He leaned over and kissed her head "I'll be back in a bit."

"I love you."

"I love you too. Is there anything else you want?"

"Not right now."

He nodded and left the room. He pulled into his driveway a little while later and walked into the house.

"Mama" Wyatt called running to the door.

"No Pal, it's me." Wade bent down to his level

Wyatt looked behind Wade at the now closed door. "Where Mama?"

"She's at the hospital, you want to go see her?"

"Yes, shoes." He smiled and ran towards the living room.

"How is she?" George asked

"She's doing good. The doctor just came and checked her out, said she'll be home in 3 days."

"That's good."

"How was he?" Wade asked

"He was good, he woke up a few times last night looking for you guys. I ended up sleeping on his floor."

"Sorry."

"It's no problem. It was fun." He smiled

"Let's go Daddy." Wyatt came running back with his shoes on the wrong feet and still untied.

"Well, let's fix those shoes." He knelt back down and took his shoes off him. "Where's Lemon?"

"She went to get a get well gift for Zoe."

Wade smiled "Three years ago that never would have happened."

George chuckled "No it would not have. It's funny how things change so much huh?"

"Very. You ready Bud?"

"Yes, Mama."

"You coming?" Wade asked George.

"We'll be by later."

"Sounds good."

On the ride there Wade was trying to tell Wyatt that he had to be good and gentle with Zoe.

"Now, you can't jump around and lay on Mama. Or run around the room. You have to sit nicely or we have to leave."

"I sit Daddy."

"Sure ya will." Wade rolled his eyes as the pulled into the parking lot. They walked through the hospital and went up to Zoe's room. "Oh and you have to be quiet. Shhh." He told him putting his finger to his lips.

Wyatt copied Wade. "Shh" he whispered. Wade quietly walked into Zoe's room, not sure if she'd be sleeping or not. "Mama" Wyatt yelled and twisted his hand free of Wade's, running to her bed.

"Shhh" Wade said again but if Zoe was sleeping, she was awake now.

"It's ok." She mumbled and looked down at Wyatt. "Hi Baby." She smiled

"Mama up." He said trying to climb the bed.

"Wade."

"I got him." He went and picked up Wyatt "I told you to shhh and you have to sit nicely or you will leave."

"Sowwy." He smiled and wiggled down to the bed

"Don't touch Mama."

"Wade he's fine, relax." Zoe slowly moved to one side of the bed and patted the spot next to her on her left side. "Sit here Wy."

"Hi Mama." He said laying his head on her

Zoe kissed his head. "I missed you. Was he good for them?"

"George said he was up a lot looking for us. He ended up sleeping on his floor. Other than that I think so."

"Good." She smiled while she played with Wyatt's hair. Wade could see his little eyes closing and in a matter of minutes he was out. "He sleeping?"

"Yeah." He smiled sitting down on the foot of the bed.

"You're staying home tonight right?"

"I don't know. I feel bad asking them to watch him again but I don't want to leave you."

"I'll be fine. I'd rather you be home with him. Especially if he's having a hard time with both of us not being there."

"Yeah you're probably right. Although he still won't be happy you're not there."

"He'll be fine."

"Will you be ok? You have a lot on your plate now. Work, Wyatt and me." She gave him a small smile

"I think I can handle it." He winked at her. "It will be fun."

"Oh I'm sure we'll have tons of fun."
