"Spring time in Bluebell is so wonderful." Zoe gushed as her and Wyatt walked down the street

"So pretty." He smiled "Daddy." He yelled and wriggled out of Zoe's grasp and ran towards Wade.

"Wyatt." She yelled and ran after him

"Woah Bud. What do you think you're doing? You can't run away from Mama like that. You could get hurt or lost."

"Oh, oops. Wyatt sorry."

"He really needs to spend less time with Lavon." Wade said shaking his head. "Say, I'm sorry." He told Wyatt

"Daddy sorry." Wyatt replied

Wade smacked his forehead. "Forget it. Where were you two headed?" he looked towards Zoe

"His well visit with Brick. Make sure the ear infection is all clear. Still don't know why I can't just examine him myself." She sighed

"Because you're biased and little bit crazy." Wade told her with a smirk

"Yeah, I guess. Where are you headed?"

"Hook, Line and Sinker. Need some new line for the trip this weekend."

"Oh ok. What time are you leaving Saturday?"

"Not sure yet. Probably early since Jesse is coming in Friday night."

"Oh right, I have to clean out the spare room. Thanks for reminding me. But anyway, Wyatt let's go, we're going to be late."

"Ok, bye Daddy." He waved and took ahold of Zoe's hand.

"You going to be good for Dr. Breeland this time?" she asked as they climbed the stairs of the practice.

"Of course." He told her with a smirk

"You are your daddy's son."

"Hello Wyatt. How are you feeling?" Brick bent down to the toddlers level

"I all better." He told him

"Well let's take a look in those ears and make sure." He said moving closer and sticking the light in his ear. "Ow" Brick yelled and jumped back. "You just kicked me."

"Wyatt Dylan!" Zoe yelled

"Sorry." He giggled

"You are not, now stop it. You have to be nice. No trucks when we get home." She told him. Wyatt stuck out his bottom lip and it began to quiver. His big hazel eyes started to tear and he looked up at Zoe. "Suck that lip back in little boy. You're not getting away with that."

Wyatt stopped immediately and glared at her. "Ok. Sorry Bick."

"Feisty little thing, isn't he?" Brick looked at Zoe

"You have no idea." She nodded

"Hello?" Lemon called walking in the office.

"Aunt Yemen." Wyatt jumped off the table and ran out the door

Zoe squealed. "Wyatt! Stop jumping off things. He's going to kill me." She sighed

"Lose something?" Lemon asked carrying Wyatt back in the room

"Ugh you can have him." Zoe shook her head in defeat.

"Were you done with you check up?" Lemon asked him

"Yes." He answered

"No." Brick corrected. "I need to check those ears."

"Ok." He sighed

"You look stressed Zoe." Lemon looked at her friend

"I'm ok. He's just so active."

"I can see that. You need me to take him for a night?"

"No it's ok. Wade is in charge every minute he's home until he goes away Saturday with Jesse and Earl."

"All done, ears are clear." Brick said

"Yay, thank you."

"Pop?" Wyatt asked

"No." Zoe told him. "You weren't good." He huffed and looked at her. "Sorry." She said. "You ready? Let's get home for your nap."

"No nap."

"Don't argue please."

"Mama nap?" he asked

"Wouldn't that be lovely?" She chuckled "Come on?" she held her hand out for him.

"I'll come with you." She said walking after Zoe and Wyatt

"Uh ok. What's up?" Zoe asked curiously

"Have you heard?"

"Heard what?"

"Crickett and Stanley want to renew their wedding vows."

"What?" Zoe asked shocked

"I know! I'm not even engaged and those two want a second wedding. You haven't even had a wedding yet. By the way when in the world is that happening?"

Zoe rolled her eyes. "I'm not sure. Maybe another year or so. Let him get a little bigger, save a bit more money."

"How much bigger does he have to be? Don't you want any other little Kinsella's to be close in age to him?"

"I would but I just don't think it's feasible right now. The house set us back more than we thought it would and my surgery didn't help at all. We're happy with how we are right now."

"Ugh, whatever. He's going to be three soon."

"October, that's not soon."

"You can't stop his growing Zoe." She smiled "I'll let you get him to bed. Call me later?"

"Sure. Say Bye Wy."

"Bye." He waved to lemon

"Bye little guy. Behave for your Mama."

When Zoe woke up that Saturday Wade and Jesse were already gone. She checked on Wyatt and when she figured out he was still sound asleep she decided to shower but not before locking him in his bedroom first. After her shower and getting dressed she went down stairs to have some coffee before he woke up. She got so wrapped up in the Gazette and her cereal it wasn't until she heard a crash that she realized she never unlocked Wyatt's door. She ran upstairs and straight to his room.

"Are you ok?" she asked seeing his bookshelf over turned and him standing in front of it.

"Yes. Fell over." He told her

"I see that. How?"

"Don't know." he shrugged

"I'm sure you don't." she picked up the book case and started putting the books back on the shelves. "You gonna help?" she asked him

"Yes." He nodded and started putting the books away.

After everything was finally cleaned up, Zoe got Wyatt dressed and they went down stairs. "What do you want for breakfast?" she asked

"Pancakes." He said

"Pancakes it is." She smiled and put him in his booster seat and giving him a bowl of strawberries. "What do you want to do today?"

"Go see Burt." He said popping a strawberry in his mouth.

"Uh, we can go see Uncle Lavon and Aunt AB."

"Sure." He shrugged

"Oh good." She laughed

"Uncle Von." Wyatt yelled running in the house

"Wyatt." He yelled back at him and scooped him up in his arms. "How's my little quarterback?"

"Set, hike." Wyatt laughed

"Where's AB?" Zoe smiled

"Out to lunch with her mom. What are you two up to today?"

"Nothing really. He wanted to come visit Burt."

"Ah, yes he does love the gator. You want to go play catch?" he asked

"Yeah, let go."

"You want me to keep him for a little bit, you have things to do?"

"Really? No mayoral business to conduct?" she asked quickly

Lavon smiled "Nope, you go. Come back for dinner."

"Bye." Zoe said giving Wyatt a kiss and then running out the door.

"Well that was easy." Lavon laughed. "Let's go play."

That evening Zoe went back to the plantation after a nice relaxing day at the spa in Daphne. She walked into Lavon's house and saw AB in the kitchen.

"Shhh." AB whispered and pointed towards the living room

"Awww." Zoe gushed looking at Lavon passed out on the couch with Wyatt stretched out on his chest. "He looks so tiny on him."

"I know. How was your day?"

"It was nice, real relaxing. How was lunch with your mom?"

"It was very nice. Have you heard from Wade?"

"He texted when they got there. I don't expect to hear from him again until they're on their way home. Service is really spotty out there."

"Gotcha. What are you going to do with the little guy tomorrow?"

"Not sure yet. I was thinking of going to the Science Center in Mobile. He loves running around there."

"Well that sounds fun."

That night after dinner with Lavon and AB and after Wyatt was bathed and in bed Zoe sat down on the couch with a glass of wine and put on a movie. About half way through the movie she heard a crash and then screaming cries from upstairs. She jumped up from the couch, slipping her wine in the process and bolted upstairs. She ran through Wyatt's door and saw him lying on the floor with his bookshelf lying next to him and books everywhere.

"Oh my gosh Wyatt." She ran over to the toddler who was crying on the floor. "What happened"?

"Ow." Was all he could get out between screams.

She quickly went over and turned the light on and ran back to him, kneeling next to him. She started looking over him to see if she could see any injuries. Legs were fine, head was fine but he was clutching his elbow. "Let Mama see." She carefully removed his right hand and uncovered his elbow. "Can you move it Buddy?" she asked

Zoe tried to straighten his arm but he screamed in pain. "No" he yelled

"Ok, ok. We have to go to the hospital." She said standing up and then picking up Wyatt as he continued to cry. She wrapped his arm with ice and got him in the car quicker than she ever has and started to head to the hospital. When she was halfway there she started to try calling Wade but it always went straight to voicemail. "Dammit." She sighed. Once they arrived at the emergency room she carried Wyatt in and over to the front desk.

"Can I help you?"

"Uh yeah, he broke his elbow." She told the nurse

"Ok, well you will have to fill out these forms and we will get to you as soon as possible. Just please sign in here."

She signed the form and took the clipboard "Thanks." Zoe sighed and took the papers over to an empty chair. She started filling them out and every so often would check Wyatt's elbow. It was starting to swell so she had to keep loosening the ice pack.

"Wyatt Kinsella." The nurse called. Zoe looked up and a nurse walked over to them. "Can I see your arm?" she asked Wyatt.

"No." he shook his head

"Let the nurse see, she's going to help make it better."

Wyatt carefully uncovered his arm again and looked up at Zoe as the nurse carefully unwrapped the ice pack. "What happened?" she asked him

"I fell." He told her

"Fell where?"

"Book shelf."

"Were you climbing?" she asked him

"Yes." He nodded his head

"Are you mom?" she asked

"Yes." She said and then paused. "Well no, not technically actually. I'm his father's fiancé."

"Ok" she smiled "Is Dad here?"

"He's away for the weekend. I tried calling but can't get ahold of him."

"Alright. He will be examined shortly." She got up and walked away.

"Mama, I hurt." He told her

"I know baby, the doctors will make it all better."

"Bick?" he asked

"No, not Brick." She smiled down at him

After another half hour of sitting and all of his paperwork filled out they were finally called into a room. The doctor came in another ten minutes later.

"Hi Bud. What happened?" he asked and then smiled at Zoe

"I fell. Elbow hurt." He told him

"How did you fall"?

"I climb." He told him as the doctor looked at his elbow. "Climbing isn't a great idea. How old are you?"

"Two." He showed him two fingers

"You're a big boy." He turned to Zoe. "I'm going to need x-rays. You're mom?" he asked

"No, Dad's fiancé."

"Do you have authorization to give consent for any medical treatments? A consent card? Signed letter from Dad?" he asked

Zoe froze and her eyes bugged she thought for a moment. "I don't." she finally said

The doctor sighed. "We are going to need consent from Dad or someone directly related to him before we can do anything. He will definitely need X-rays and possible surgery to repair this. "

Zoe sighed and put her head in her hands, trying to think of a way to get consent. She couldn't get ahold of Wade, Earl or Jesse.
