Summary: Working as a spirit detective, Kagome hopes on finding her friends she left. After a little reunion, she is left to train team Urameshi. On one of the missions she was assigned, she finds her friends. Her friends then vow to find a way to return Kagome to the Kagome they knew. Would they be able to find the old Kagome or will team Urameshi beat them? An Inuyasha/Yu Yu Hakusho Crossover.

Chapter 5 - Hiring
As we were walking towards the theater room, the palace shook. Damn and here I thought I would have a break for once, I thought to myself. "Himeko, please prepare everyone for the oncoming fight!" I commanded her. The next second she was gone. I looked towards my brother and his friends. I pointed at them and stated, "We're going to have to fight, got it? Our motto is every man for himself so pick an opponent you can actually fight and kill because nobody is going to help you."
Everyone gulped but nodded. Then, I began running towards the palace entrance. As soon as the gates came into sight, I jumped up and landed on the gates in a crouching position. "Reveal yourself you coward," I yelled out in a cold voice. I spread my aura to find any unusual spots in the area. I closed my eyes so I could visualize the surroundings my aura is touching. A moment later, I found a spot. I smirked and opened my eyes.
My right eye was violet and my left one was silver, which showed that my beast was present but not in control. I bit into my palm and let the blood flow. Slowly, I raised my hand above my head. When my blood began dripping. Despite me being about three hundred feet off the ground, my blood made a quick journey ground began pulsing. Soon, an army of demons was seen. They were all Class D demons. I sighed and asked, "Are you here for revenge or to hire me as a hit man?"
A Class B demon soon appeared and said, "I don't know who you killed off this time Koizumi but it definitely wasn't any of my men."
"Introduce yourself demon!" I demanded
"Oh, where are my manners?" the demon bowed, "Name's Akane Maki. My Lord is looking to see if you are willing to take care of some dirty business"
"How much?" I asked. Then, the demon identified as Akane Maki threw a bag of money at me. I opened the bag and there was thousands of little jewels and diamonds.
"That's less than a quarter of the pay, that is if you accept," stated Akane.
"I'm willing to consider the deal. However, this is worth millions alone in Ningenkai. Who's death is worth so much money and why is this Lord of yours willing to pay me so much?" I asked.
"Our Lord has gained some enemies that aren't exactly weak. Even if our Lord is an A class demon, he needs your help in this since he has to deal with a recent attack on a village under his care," explained Akane. I pondered over this. With this much money, my mother won't have to worry about losing the shrine ever again and if my brother does decide to live in the shrine then he won't have to worry. About ten generations worth of the Higurashi family won't have to worry about anything with this amount of money. They can pay for whatever they need, that is if they use this money responsibly.
"Deal," I muttered. I jumped off the gate so I could seal the deal with a hand shake. However, once he spotted the blood on my hand, he grabbed a wet cloth someone had prepared and cleaned the blood off my hand. "You didn't have to do that. I may be more powerful than you but you're my employer, in a way of course," I said.
Akane just smirked and said,"I am your employer in a way but that doesn't mean I have any power over you really. Plus, you're a lady, a fine one at that. You need to be treated with respect and as a gentleman I will do so.'' I returned his smirk with a smile. I let him continue cleaning off the blood. Once he was done, he placed a kiss on my half-way healed wound. I blushed slightly but didn't pull my hand away. "Please, consider the deal to be sealed by this kiss," teased Akane.
"It seems this Lord of yours does have fine taste in men, that's for sure," I whispered. Akane gave me another smirk and another kiss on the hand.
"I look forward to working with you Koi," Akane said before he commanded his army to go march back to their Lord's palace. I waved them goodbye and skipped to my palace in a joyful mood.
