Chapter 35- Baby Winston

I hope everyone is well. So who has seen the season 7 trailer? The final ride is going to be out of this world…..So excited! I hope everyone enjoys this chapter….smiles….

On the way home Jade made all her phone calls to tell everyone the good news. If Jax had to hear her squeal and scream one more time, he was going to shoot himself with one of the many handguns that were in their house. Jax knew she was just excited and he relished that Jade was just as excited as he was and he found her enthusiasm contagious. The first stop they made when they arrived in town was the club house to let the guys know of their engagement. Jax seem to have a permanent Cheshire grin on his face as all the club members congratulated him. Jade was really surprised at how far the club has come in accepting her. There were still a couple that could not hide their feelings about her like Go Go but for the most part they all did a 180 like Tig when it came to her and Jax being together. Jade tried to control her expression, as a few crow eaters were a little too touchy when they offered up congratulations to Jax. Only a few actually came up to her to speak and Jade made a mental note to who the ones who did not speak were in her head. She would need to keep a special eye on them.

The next stop was to see Kim and Opie. Kim had been so miserable since she was on force bed rest by the doctor and she begged Jade to come over and show her the ring.

They found Kim sitting up in bed surrounded by parenting magazines and what to expect baby books. Jade leaned over and hugged her friend as she thought of how she read up on anything she could get her hands on about childbirth and childrearing. It was a wonderful feeling being a new mom and bringing new life into the world with someone you loved. Jade was so happy for her to be the one to experience this life changing moment with Opie. Kim was really making him a happy man.

Jade sat on the bed as Kim gawked at her ring.

"Jade I am so happy for you!" she squealed.

Jade hugged her friend again and Kim gasped as she felt her baby kick. She grabbed Jade's hand and placed it on her belly for her to feel her baby boy. Jade smiled as she felt the kick on the palm of her hand.

Opie handed Jax a beer out of the mini fridge in the garage.

"Congrats brother." Opie lifted his beer to Jax and they both took a swig of their beer.

"Thanks man….you next?"

Opie smiled as he thought about the engagement ring that was hidden in the deep corners of the closet.

"Yep…got a ring and everything." Opie told him before taking another swig of his beer.

"Opie I am happy you have found happiness again."

Ellie opened the garage door and ran in.

"Dad! Kim is going to have the baby!" she yelled and then ran back inside to the bedroom Kim was in. Jax and Opie looked at each other for a second and let what Ellie just said register in their brains.

"Shit!" Opie and Jax threw their beer in the trash on the way in the house. They found Kim getting out the bed and Jade searching for her hospital bags. Ellie and Kenny were standing by the bedroom door excitedly.

"Babe is it time?" Opie asked as he rushed to Kim's side.

Kim nodded her head yes. Opie looked as if he was about to jump up and down with joy. In a matter of minutes, Kim and Opie were in the car with the kids heading to the hospital and Jax and Jade were following close behind. Jade took the opportunity while in the car to call Kim's parents, Gemma and Bobby. Bobby relayed the message to other club members that Kim was in labor and everyone needed to meet at St. Thomas. Upon arrival, it did not take long for Kim to get a private room. Gemma, Nero, Kim's family, Bobby, Tig, Chibs, Happy and Juice all trickled in and waited in the waiting room for Opie and Kim's new baby to arrive.

Jax saw his mom walk in and gave her a big hug.

"Where are the boys?" he asked.

"They are with Neeta. We don't know how long Kim will be in labor." She told him as she planted a kiss on his cheek. Nero walked up and slapped Jax on the back.

"I hear congratulations are in order."

Jax nodded, "Yep…she said yes." Nero hugged Jax.

"You are one lucky man. Woman like her and your mom are rare. Hang on to her Jax."

"You know I will…."

Everyone settled in the waiting area patiently waiting for Kim to give birth. Jax and Gemma tried to talk to Kim's father and her brother but they were very reluctant to have a conversation with them or any of the club members. They waited on the other side of the waiting room and Gemma knew they were judging all of them by the way they were looking at everyone. Gemma was use to those types of looks and told them to go fuck themselves in her head.

Gemma sat between Jax and Nero, looked at her watch, and wished Kim would hurry up and pop the kid out as she wanted to go home to her grandbabies. Gemma smiled as he looked on as Juice kept Opie's kids Ellie and Kenny entertained.

Jax was getting inpatient as well. He wished Jade was with him but she was in the delivery room with Kim, Opie and Kim's mom.

Jade was standing behind the doctor biting her nails. She was a nervous wreck as Kim began to push. Opie was on one side of Kim and her mom Lisa was on the other side.

"Come on baby push." Opie encouraged. Kim bore down and grunted as she gave a big push. Jade started to squeal when she saw the head.

"I see him Kim! Push!" she almost shouted. The doctor looked back at Jade with a look to shut up. Jade stepped back and put her finger to her lips indicating she would be quiet.

Kim pushed again and started to curse in Vietnamese. Opie moved her thick, black hair from her forehead and leaned into kiss her forehead. Kim turned her head away and cursed more in her native language. Jade could tell she was calling Opie everything but a child of God. Opie had a huge smile on his face and it made Kim even angrier with him. Jade totally understood where Kim was coming from. Men had it way to easy. Women did all the work. With one more push, their son finally made an appearance.

Jade jumped up and down and clapped her hands. She was so happy. She grabbed her cell phone again and snapped pictures as Opie cut the umbilical cord.

"Welcome Michael Piermont Winston. Welcome to the world son." Opie cooed at his son when the nurse placed him in his arms.

Jax was starving and walked down the hall to a vending machine. Deciding on what could satisfy his hunger quickly he looked up from the vending machine to see Tara walking down the hall. A big smile spread across her face when she saw Jax.

"Hey. What are you doing here? Is Abel ok?" she asked stepping up to Jax a little too close for comfort.

"Yeah….Abel is ok. Opie's girlfriend is in labor." He told her stepping back. The last thing he needed was Gemma or Jade to chance upon them standing so close together. He would never hear the end of it. Tara moved closer to Jax to fill the gap.

"I miss you." She whispered to him as she caressed his cheek. Jax sighed with a little irritation as he moved her hand from her face.

"Don't Tara….we can't do this. I'm getting married."

The look on Tara's face was indescribable to Jax. He figured she might be upset but the look on her face displayed more than anger.

"What?" she gasped as if someone had punched her in the stomach. She shook her head back and forth in disbelief.

"Jax you can't…..you love me." She tried to explain to him.

"Tara you will always have a place in my heart as you are my first love but I am in love with Jade and that will never ever change." He told her sternly trying to make sure what he told her came across loud and clear.

"No…." she moaned. She could not believe that bitch was marrying the love of her life. She never thought in a million years he would get so serious with her. Yes, she knew they had a baby together but that did not mean anything this day and age. Hell he had a baby with another woman he was not with. As Tara looked at Jax she knew she would not go down without a fight for her man. That cunt was not going to have the last laugh.

"Jax!" Gemma barked. Jax and Tara looked over and found Gemma walking swiftly toward them with a pissed off look on her face. Jax cursed under his breath.

"Tara please go…"

"We are not done Jax…." She told him before she walked away.

"Really Jax? Are you out of your fuckin mind" Gemma scolded him.

"We were just talking mom. I was telling her about my engagement."

"Is that wise Jax? You don't know how she will react."

"She was fine mom." Jax lied.

"Come on," she grabbed his arm. "Kim just gave birth."

Jade took even more pictures as everyone came in and congratulated Kim and Opie. Some of the pictures came out hilarious as each guy sat down to hold the baby. The look on Happy's face was priceless. Jade always knew there was a soft side to Happy. Bobby was a nervous wreck holding Michael.

"Uncle Bobby you act like you don't have kids yourself."

"It has been a long time since they have been this little. Opie your father would be proud. I am sure he is honored you named him after him." Bobby leaned down and kissed Michael's cheek.

Kim's dad tough exterior started to break down a little as he looked at his grandson. He thanked God that the child looked Vietnamese and not like Opie. He was praying that Kim's genes would be more prominent in the child. His prayers were answered and he smiled big when Jade took a picture of him holding his first grandson. After they all saw the baby the guys went outside in the parking lot to smoke cigars in celebration.

As the guys were outside Jade took the opportunity to run down to the cafeteria to grab something quick to eat. The elevator door opened to take her to the ground floor to the cafeteria. Jade saw red when she saw Tara on the elevator. Jade frowned when she stepped on the elevator. The door slowly shut and it was just the two of them. Jade pressed the button and turned around to look at Tara. Jade studied her nemesis up close for a few seconds. Jade never thought she was a bad looking woman but there was just something about her features that was just off to her. However, Jade knew she probably thought that because she really could not stand the woman.

"I hear you are engaged." Tara said with hatred laced in her voice.

Jade raised an eyebrow and wondered who told her. Reading her face Tara told her it was Jax.

"You know he does not really love you." Tara told Jade getting in her face.

"You think he is still in love with you?" Jade asked not backing down from her.

"He will always love me. He will always come back to me."

Jade laughed.

"You are one delusional bitch."

Tara snapped when Jade called her a bitch and pushed Jade up against the elevator wall. Her arm was against Jade's throat pushing with all her strength against her neck.

"You fuckin porch monkey! I should finish off what Frankie tried to do to you."

Tara spat in Jade's face. Jade pulled back and punched Tara in the stomach to get her off her neck. When Tara grabbed her stomach, Jade punched her in the face. Jade wiped the spit off her face and grimaced with disgust.…this fuckin bitch!

"Who the fuck told you about Frankie?!" Jade yelled at her.

Tara looked at Jade and smiled a wicked smile. Jade was about to punch her again but the elevator door opened. Jade and Tara straighten themselves out as a few people climbed on the elevator. They got a couple of funny looks but no one said anything to them. Tara's floor came up and she looked back at Jade when she got off the elevator. Jade sighed as she knew it was far from over with Tara Knowles.
