Chapter 37- New By Laws
Drunk
As soon as Jax got off his bike, he ran up to August and punched him in the face. Marks was not caught off guard and was able to counter attack Jax back. August fist hit Jax square in the nose. In seconds, they were on the ground fighting. August crew cheered for him and the Sons cheered for Jax. After a few minutes each crew broke up the fight as Jax and August were not going to let up and it looked like they would kill each other. They both stood up breathing heavy looking at one another.
"I told you to stay away from her!" Jax yelled.
"She came to me Jax!" August yelled right back.
"You put your hands on her!" Jax started to get angrier as he thought of Jade's bruised arm.
"What the hell are you talking about man!"
'She had a bruise on her arm August! You put your hands on my woman!"
Jax saw August face cringe when he said Jade was his woman. This man was still in love with her.
"Look Jax that was an accident. I would never do anything to intentionally hurt her."
Jax tried his hardest to calm down but just looking at August was pissing him off.
"You need to get over her August…she is with me. I told you before that you would never have her back."
Marks gritted his teeth and tried not to punch Jax again. Marks chose to ignore what Jax said and switched the conversation to business.
"It will only be a matter of time before Clay pays for killing Pope. I have a price on his head."
Jax tried to focus on what August just said. He was still heated but he needed to focus on business.
Jax nodded his head. Everything was falling into place just as he had planned. Now if only he can get out of the guns business so he and his family can live a normal life. He could not bear it if Jade or his boys were hurt again because of the club. Just before they wrapped up business Jax warned August again about Jade. Jax noted that August did not respond to him. Jax hoped he did not have to take it to another level with Marks to prove his point. They did not shake hands as they usually did when the concluded business as they both were still raw with emotions about Jade.
Jax finally made it home and found Jade in the middle of bed with bridal magazines spread out all over the bed. She had a look of pure confusion on her face. She looked up when he entered the room and smiled at him.
"You wearing a tux right?" she asked with a huge grin on her face. She knew the answer but wanted to ask anyway.
"No!" Jax faced grimaced as he thought of himself in a monkey suit.
"Did you kill him?" she asked her face becoming serious.
"No."
Jade did not ask for any details. She knew he would not kill him but by the look of Jax's face, they did have one hell of a fight. Jax threw off his clothes and got into the shower. Jade got up and went to the kitchen to put some ice in a Ziploc bag for his face. Sitting back in bed, she pulled some of the magazines to the side so she can show him what she had picked out. He told her money was not an issue and have the wedding of her dreams. He didn't care what she did as long as he didn't have to wear a tux and she showed up he would be happy. Jade wasn't going to turn into bridezilla and spend too much money. Gemma on the other hand was a different story. She was the reason she had ten thousand bridal magazines littering her bed.
Jax walked out the bathroom with just a towel around his waist. Jade felt the familiar throb between her legs and wondered would she still feel the same way twenty years from now about him. She hoped she would as he was her world. Jax threw off his towel to put on his boxers. Jade gasped as she saw how hard he was. Yeah….she will never get tired of this man.
Jax pushed some magazines to the side and crawled in with her after he pulled on his boxers. Jade gave him the Ziploc bag of ice and he put it on his bruised cheek.
"What all are you looking at babe?"
Jade sighed, "You don't want to know. I think I have at least two hundred dressed picked out." Jade leaned over and kissed him.
"Don't stress out babe. I don't care if you show up in a potato sack…just as long as you show up."
"Of course I am going to show up," Jade lifted up a magazine to show Jax a toddler tux. "What do you think of this for Abel?"
Jax smiled, "I love it. He is going to look so handsome as the ring boy."
Jade agreed as she showed him different color schemes.
"I think this would be beautiful Jade." Jax pointed to a purple and blue color theme in one of the magazines. Jade could not believe her outlaw biker was sitting here with her picking out wedding colors. She had to agree with him as the blue and purple was stunning.
"I like it. It is beautiful."
Jade looked up to fine Jax staring at her intently.
"What's wrong?"
Jax shook his head in disbelief.
"I just can't believe you are going to be my wife."
Jade busted out laughing as Jax threw his bag of ice across the room, pushed the magazines off the bed, pulled her down in the bed, and started tickling her. When she couldn't take any more of his tickles he got on top of her, leaned in, and kissed her passionately.
"I love you Jade."
"I love you too Jax."
Jax and Jade were startled awake when they heard the sound of glass breaking and a car alarm go off. It took a second to register that it was coming from the driveway.
"Shit!"
Jax jumped up and ran down the hall with Jade following close behind him. Before he opened the door he grabbed his gun off the hall table and pushed Jade back.
"Stay inside." He told her alarm ringing in his voice.
Jax swung the door open and pointed his gun.
"You fuckin bitch!" he yelled as he lowered his gun and ran outside.
Jade followed him outside ignoring what he told her and found Tara swinging a tire iron at the front windshield of Jade's car.
"You stupid cunt!" Jade yelled at Tara as she charged at her not caring she had a tire iron in her hand. Tara swung at Jade but Jade was able to dodge it and tackle Tara to the ground. On top of Tara, Jade laid multiple punches to her face.
"Jade! Jade!...stop!" Jax shouted at Jade trying to pull her off of Tara. By the looks of it Jade was going to kill her and he did not need a dead body in his front yard. Jade allowed herself to be pulled off of Tara.
"Calm down baby!" Jax looked up and saw the neighbor across the street porch light come on. No stranger to Jax and his drama John, Jax's neighbor stepped out on the porch and called to Jax and asks was everything alright. Jax yelled across everything was fine. John looked down at a woman sprawled out on Jax's front lawn with Jade standing over her. He looked and saw the tire iron lying next to her and then looked at the shattered windshield. John shrugged his shoulders, chalked it up as more Jax and Sons of Anarchy drama, and went back to bed without another thought to the situation. He knew when not to butt into Sons business.
"What the hell is wrong with you Tara?" he asked as he lifted her off the ground. She reeked of alcohol.
He's mine!" she slurred to Jade.
"Get her out of here Jax before I kill her!"
"I'm going to have to bring her in the house for a second. I need to get dress and call one of the guys to meet me at her place to bring me home."
"She is not stepping foot in my house. Leave her ass on the porch. She's to fucked up to go anywhere."
Jax did not argue as he could see how angry Jade was. He stood looking at Jade not really knowing how to handle the situation. Jade sucked her teeth.
"Go get dress. I will watch her."
"Jade don't kill her."
"I'll try not to."
Jax sat Tara on the porch and Tara put her head between her legs trying to get her bearings. Tara leaned over to the side of the porch and vomited. Jade could not believe this shit.
"What did you think you were going to accomplish Tara bashing in my car?" Jade looked down at Tara and for a split second felt sorry for her as Tara wiped the vomit from her mouth.
"You can't have him Jade." She whispered looking up at Jade with tears in her eyes.
"Tara get yourself together. You are embarrassing yourself. Is he really worth you getting yourself worked up over?" as Jade asked that question she knew Jax was totally worth it and it would be hard for her to let go if the roles were reverse. Jax finally came back outside and asked Tara for her keys. She stood up to get her keys out of her pocket and almost fell off the porch. Jade was surprised that she reached out to stop her from tumbling over. Tara pushed herself away from Jade and tumbled down the stairs. Jax cursed under his breath as he ran to her. Jade was beginning to find the situation funny. Jax lifted an uninjured Tara to her feet. She finally fished out her keys and Jax took them.
"I'll be back as soon as I get her in her house. Happy will pick me up." He told her as he picked up Tara and took her to her car. Jade shook her head and went back into the house to check on the boys. She will deal with her car tomorrow.
Jax returned home about an hour later. He told Jade that he think he reasoned with Tara and they should not have any more problems out of her.
"Did you reason with her or did you have Happy reason with her?"
A smile played on Jax's lips.
"A little of both…..She knows not to come near my family again."
