Sorry its short and kinda boring its more of a filler chapter I guess but planning on updating again later tonight! Enjoy :)
After speaking to Dr. Walker Brax walked into Casey's room. The youngest of the three Braxtons was asleep and Heath was playing on his phone. Brax slumped into a chair sighing as he did so. Putting his phone down Heath cleared his throat, "What did he say?" he asked.
"There giving us a 3 year pay plan." Brax shrugged, "Sid said there wasn't much he could do about it, its out of his control so thats the best they can do". Heath was confused.
"Well thats alright, 3 years in plenty of time!"
"Still means over $2000 a month for three years and thats if the cost doesn't go up" Brax explained, exhausted. "Oh" was all Heath could manage.
"I think we are going to have to call dad, he's bound to have a few thousand lying around somewhere from some dodgy deals" Brax said.
"He's in prison though…" Heath said confused. Brax sighed, feeling guilty for hiding this from his brother, "Ive been looking into it since we found out about all this expenses thing" He began, "He was but away by a corrupt judge, we could technically get him out" he explained. Heath was angry Brax hadn't told him but he guessed they didn't have much choice. "Okay" Heath shrugged, "I'm going to go out for some fresh air" he muttered standing up and walking out. Brax sighed contemplating going after him, he knew he wasn't going to take this well because dad had always been tough on Heath, what other choice did they have though?
Brax was broken out of his thoughts when Casey stirred, slowly waking up. Brax got up and walked over to his bed pushing his hair back softly. "Brax" Casey croaked coming round.
"Yeah I'm here mate" he smiled down at his brother. Casey forced a smile trying to sit up, grimacing. "Hay take it easy" Brax said helping sit his brother up. "How ya feeling?" Brax asked once Casey was settled again. Casey shrugged, "Sick" he said tiredly, "did you talk to the doctor about the money?" Casey asked looking down at the bed sheets. Brax nodded, "And…" Casey asked. Brax didn't know what to say with out making his brother feel bad, "Its a lot of money, but nothing me and your brother wont sort out" Brax told him forcing a smile.
The boys sat in Caseys room quietly both unsure of what to say. The nurses came around to do their observations and to administer some more pain management medication. Once they had done their rounds they brought in breakfast. "Could we get you anything Mr. Braxton" The nurse asked Brax before she left the room, "Nah I'm good thanks" He smiled, hospital food did not seem all that appealing when he knew he had eggs and bacon at home. "Looks good Case" He said pushing the food closer to his brother. "I'm not hungry" Casey sighed, "It doesn't taste right and I feel sick" Casey said quietly. Brax sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Alright, I will leave it over here incase you change your mind".
"Alright Case, I'm gunna leave you for a bit, theres some stuff I need to sort out, I will be back soon though" Brax told Casey.
"What do you need to sort out?" Casey asked.
"Nothing you need to worry about buddy, now get some rest" Brax instructed before leaving.
Heath was at home when Brax got back. "Bacon and eggs for brekkie?" Brax asked walking through to the kitchen. "Ok" Heath muttered. Brax turned on the grill before sitting on the couch arm as it heated up. "Look mate, I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I didn't want to until I was sure it was the best thing to do" He explained.
"And is it?" Heath asked. Brax shrugged.
"I dunno bro, but I don't see we have much of a choice anymore".
