A/N: Full authors note below. As always thank you all for your reviews. Welcome to the new followers! I had this ready a few days ago but couldn't get online, explanation below. I've just re-read what I've written and it's seems a little boring...lol do not fear - the next chapter is going to be a lot steamier.
I think this is my longest chapter!
Chapter 42 - Dreaming of a duet.
APOV
"Ana, they'll be fine. Relax." Christian drapes his arm around my shoulder gives my upper arm a gentle, reassuring squeeze.
"I know they'll be fine, it doesn't mean I like leaving them." I bite back, missing my children already which in turn is making me a little cranky.
"No one said you liked leaving them baby. It's okay to miss them, we've only been apart from them for a night here and there, it's natural to have separation anxiety. We can phone them every hour if it'll make this easier for you." I turn my head to look out at the dark sky, the only light coming from the flashing lights of the jet as we make our way to New York.
"Ana, look at me." Christian's finger tilts my chin, turning me to him. I focus on his lips, not wanting to look into his eyes.
"Look at me." He cups my cheeks and forces my face up. "They know Gail and they trust Gail. I trust Gail. I trust Taylor with my life, I trust him to look after our children."
"I know that. I just hate leaving them Christian."
"As much as I do...but we need time too Ana." He entwines his fingers in mine. "We will be back on Sunday."
"I feel like a bad mother." I admit.
"Why? Because there's some unwritten law that says parents aren't allowed to leave their children?"
"Don't be a smart ass Christian." I sigh, I know he's right, having children doesn't mean you can't have some alone time. "I'll survive, I'm sure I'm missing them more than they are missing me."
"Baby, Gail is going to be fussing over them so much they probably won't even notice we are gone." He presses his lips firmly to my head, "besides, I have wicked, wicked plans for you. You'll be screaming so loud you'll be thanking god the children aren't in the same state to hear what Daddy is doing to Mommy." He growls seductively in my ear, his words vibrating against my cheek, his distraction technique effective, albeit slightly embarrassing as I squirm in my seat.
"Christian." I elbow him in the ribs. Kate coughs, reminding us we are not the only ones on the flight. "Behave." I arch a perfectly shaped eyebrow at him.
"It's hard to behave around you." He pouts, like a child denied candy.
Christian manages to reign in his overactive libido for the duration of the flight, busying himself with spreadsheets and figures. I tried to make sense of what he was reading but gave myself a headache after about 2 minutes. I decide to drag Kate into the bedroom and have some girl talk.
"So..." I grin flopping on top of the cream comforter, "how did it go?"
"Amazing." She sighs like a woman in love. "I have a new understanding of the ridiculous grin on your face everyday... The toys...wow!"she lays back beside me beaming from ear to ear.
"I know right." I giggle. I had given Kate a set of Ben Wah balls as a gift. By the look on her face I can almost guarantee they'll be getting a lot of use.
"Oh Ana. The look on his face when I asked him to put them in before we had dinner...but when I bent over, he was a goner. I swear he nearly shot his load right then..."
"Oh my god Kate, too much information." I screw my face up playfully.
"Hey, you introduced me to the dark side..."
"I'm so happy to see you smile. I've missed my Kate."
"I know." She smiles and I smile back at her.
"I'm 13 weeks." I blurt out.
"Really? That far along?" I nod my head.
"It was last thing I expected, I feel kind of guilty that I'm not jumping for joy... I mean I'm happy, don't get me wrong, I'm just too shocked to be ecstatic right now."
"To be brutally honest Ana, i'm kind of surprised its come as such a shock to you. The way you two go at, you'll be popping them out one after the other."
"Oh come on, we aren't that bad." I frown. Aren't a husband and wife supposed to love each other madly?
"Yeah, you are." She giggles.
"But I love him so much Kate...Every time I look at him my breath catches...just knowing he could have anyone, yet he chose me, it leaves me breathless. When he smiles at me, my knees go weak. The way he smells, it ignites something in me. Isn't that the way things are supposed to be? Isn't a wife supposed to love her husband so much it's hard to breathe sometimes?...I crave his touch, I need it. When he's close, I want him closer, when he's not I miss him terribly. He means everything to me Kate, I want him to know that. I want to show him what he makes me feel... I guess it's one way I like to show him." I shrug casually. It's the truth.
"Good grief woman." Kate fans her face at my impromptu speech. "That was ...phoar." My cheeks flush at her reaction.
"Don't you feel that way about Elliot?" I ask, genuinely interested. Is my obsession with my husband really that unusual?
"Of course I do. I guess you and Christian have something that's more intense. It's not a bad thing Ana, most people would sell a body part to have the kind of connection you two have."
There's a knock on the door, Christian pokes his head in, smiling when he sees me. "We are coming in to land soon baby."
"Okay, I'll be out shortly."
"See you out there." Kate winks and breezes past Christian.
The bed dips as Christian takes Kate's place next to me. "What's wrong baby?"
"Nothing, what makes you ask." I frown, puzzled.
"When you're thinking too much about something, your eyes loose their sparkle and turn a darker shade of blue. What's wrong?" He strokes my cheek with the back of his hand. I lean into his touch, always craving a closer connection.
"Christian, do you think we are too physical?" I ask quietly, a little embarrassed.
"What do you mean?" He frowns.
"Do you think we... You know..."
"No, I don't know?" He looks even more confused than before.
"Do you think we... Have sex too much?" I say, almost whispering.
"What the fuck?" Christian surprises me by laughing hysterically. I slap his shoulder, regaining his attention. "Are you serious?" He chokes still chuckling.
"Yes I'm serious."
"Then no."
"That's your answer?" I can't help but giggle at the appalled, amused look on his beautiful face.
"That's my answer and I'm sticking to it." His eyes scan my face, scrutinising my every facial movement. "Where's this coming from?" All previous amusement has evaporated, replaced with nervousness? Concern?
"I don't know... I guess I've just heard one too many digs about our overactive sex life."
"Ana, baby,..." He sighs and runs a hand through his already ruffled hair. "Why do you even give a shit? I love you, you love me, yes we have have sex a lot..but we are just so damn good at it together..." He leans in and nuzzles my neck, his lips graze my skin softly, his warm breath awakening my libido. "Would you like me to keep my hands away from your outrageous body? Hmmmm?" He kisses down my neck. I gulp, once again caught up in his overwhelming presence.
"No." I squeak.
"Didn't think so." His lips find their way to mine and I melt into them, returning his kiss with every ounce of desire I feel for him. He pulls away, cupping my flushed cheeks. "Forget about what people think, as long as we are happy, that's all that matters. They are just jealous of what we have." He presses his lips to mine once again, a quick, soft, butterfly inducing kiss that ends all too soon.
"You're right."
"Of course I am." He scoffs jokingly.
"Ana, calm down. You can borrow mine." Kate's reassuring voice does absolutely nothing to soothe the inferno of nerves churning in my stomach.
"I know I packed them, they have to be here somewhere." I start pulling all of my clothes from my duffle bag, throwing them behind me, looking frantically for my signature skinny jeans. I wanted to go to the photo shoot comfortable, I want to wear my jeans.
"Ana, stop." Christian growls from behind me. Turning to face him does wonders for calming me by way of distraction. I begin giggling, he had been standing directly behind me and bore the brunt of my clothes throwing tantrum, he has clothes draped over his head and shoulder.
"Sorry." I offer a fake apologetic smile.
"Kate." He throws his head toward the door ordering her out of our room while he pulls my bra from his shoulder. Kate exits shutting the door behind her.
"You didn't have to order her out." I frown. "She was trying to help."
"Baby, we don't have to do this." He eyes me cautiously before stepping forward.
"Yes we do. This is nothing." I wave my hand around the clothes now sprawled all over our New York bedroom. "Just trying to find my jeans." I shrug innocently.
"Your just trying to find your jeans?" He arches an eyebrow looking amused.
"Yes, my jeans."
"These ones?" He walks over to the walk in wardrobe and opens the door. I had started unpacking my clothes when we arrived but never got around to finishing as Christian had distracted me walking around in his pyjama pants - only his pyjama pants, his glorious torso had been on full display. He walks back into the room carrying my white skinny jeans and holds them up for me.
"Thank you." I giggle. I step forward to take them from him but he steps back, moving them out of reach.
"Uh uh." He shakes his head. "We are going to fix you first."
"FIX me?" I question, my eyebrow raised with curiosity.
"Yes, I think I need to fuck the nerves out of you." He smirks and saunters towards me with a predatory swagger. Oh my. My insides spark and sizzle in delight, but my brain is telling me not to allow something to start that'll never be finished in time.
"Christian, we will be late." I point at the alarm clock sitting on the bedside table.
"I don't care." He buries his face in the crook of my neck and kisses my skin softly, nipping and licking down to my collar bone. As soon as his mouth covers my nipple through the silky fabric I am gone - magazine shoot forgotten.
We stroll into the living area expecting to see Kate and Elliot waiting for us - they aren't.
"Oh god Elliot, yes... Yes..."
"Fucking hell." Christian chuckles shaking his head - almost as if to block the noises coming from the guest room off the lounge.
"We are going to be so late Christian. Maybe we should text them rather than interrupt and Sawyer can pick them up after he's dropped us off?" I suggest, tapping my stiletto on the polished wood and looking down at my watch.
"My thoughts exactly. I don't want to hear that shit." He scoffs and pulls his phone from his dark distressed jeans. My jeans. He is with me this time and that makes all the difference in him being allowed to wear them. He has them paired with a crisp white shirt - first two buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up. He looks absolutely edible, just his clothes ignites a deep ache between my thighs. Watching his muscles move under his shirt does things to me I'd be too embarrassed to say out loud. "Baby, if you keep looking at me like that I'm going to have to make a call and reschedule this thing for tomorrow and I don't think that'll go down to well."
My cheeks flush at being caught blatantly staring, although why staring at my husband would embarrass me confuses the heck out of me. Jesus, I feel like my emotions are all over the show. "Sorry." I smile meekly.
"Don't be sorry baby, I love the way your eyes come alive when you look at me." He presses his thumb to the corner of my lip and runs it across to the other side. "Lets go." He removes his hand from in front of my face and takes hold of my hand, escorting me out of the apartment and down to the underground garage where Sawyer is waiting for us with the car running.
"I'm so nervous Christian. Do we know what kind of questions they'll be asking? God, what am I allowed to say? Perhaps you should do all of the talking." I panic, the nervousness has resurfaced, the tapping of my foot is a dead giveaway.
"Breathe baby, they'll ask me question about the business, but I assume when it comes to you they'll be asking more personal stuff. Don't answer anything you don't feel comfortable with and don't tell them anything you don't want published and read by thousands."
"I'm sure that its not going to be that simple, but I guess it makes sense."
"I'll be there by your side for everything Ana, I've got you...always.". He leans over and kisses me chastely.
"I know. I trust you."
The car comes to a slow stop in front of a magnificent glass building. It looks similar to Grey House. The glass signage to the left of the entrance showcases the various companies housed within the tower.
Busying myself looking out the window at the different brands and logos on display, I hadn't noticed Christian exiting the vehicle until my door opens and he reaches in to take my hand.
"My lady." He presses his lips to the back of my hand and peers up at me through his lashes. I giggle, and I know from the boyish grin on his face it was the reaction he was aiming for, it was his way of looking after me, making me smile when my whole body was wracked with nerves. It was the photo shoot that had me sweating. I had no idea what kind of photos they were going to be taking, the only thing I knew was that I trusted Christian to 'handle' this, and I knew my overprotective husband wouldn't stand for anything that made me feel uncomfortable. He ushered me into the building, his hand spread flat against the small of my back, his usual protective gesture.
We flew past reception and into the elevator paying no attention to the whispers and blatant points. For goodness sake, surely there's been bigger celebrities than us walking through this reception.
When we reach the 10th floor the door pings open. My mouth forms an appreciative 0 as I take in the immaculate, clean, modern space. It is minimalist perfection. Huge black shiny tiles cover the vast floor, so shiny in fact you can see your reflection in them. In the centre of the reception area is a huge 'U' shaped reception desk that is pure white, behind the desk is a curved glass wall with Esquire bolted to it in perfect shiny silver. Behind the desk is a tall pretty redhead with a pixie cut. She's lifts her eyes and catches us walking towards her.
"Mr and Mrs Grey. Please follow me, they are awaiting your arrival."
We are lead down a brightly lit corridor to a frosted glass door that has 'Esquire' sandblasted into in.
"You okay baby?" Christian lets go of my clammy hand and wraps his arm around my shoulder.
"I'm good. Lets get this over with." I offer a small smile. He kisses my hair and lets me go, taking hold of my hand again and leading me into the room.
Immediately my attention is captured by the group of people standing to the left. There must be about 12 people, given their individual appearances I'm guessing make up artists, photographer and assistants etc. I smile politely when a few turn to see who's just walked in.
"Anastasia." A lady who looks to be in her late forties comes storming over. He dark charcoal pant suit moving gracefully with her. She looks the epitome of a professional woman - a perfect combination of confidence and elegance. "Such a pleasure to meet you in person, and can I say you are even more beautiful than your pictures. You really are stunning." She beams from ear to ear and holds her hand out for me to shake. I take it and thank her for compliment.
"I'm Jennifer, I'll be running the show today. If there is anything you need or are not happy with, please, come and see me." One more smile from her botoxed lips and she makes a beeline for Christian who has been pulled aside by a casually dressed gentleman.
"Hi I'm Eva Cross." A gorgeous blonde says from beside me.
"Ana Grey." I smile in return.
"You look as nervous as I feel." She giggles.
"Oh my god, is it that obvious? I've done a few newspaper shoots before for charity etc, but never anything like this." I feel really comfortable with her, maybe it's because we have a lot in common.
"Well that makes two of us, so we can be nervous together." She says. I can't help but take a good look at her. She's about my height, blonde, a little curvier in all the right places. Her skin is glowing and gloriously tanned, making me feel a little pale. Maybe I should've had a sun bed session before the shoot. "I need to get out of here for a second, go splash my face with water."
"I'll come with you." I blurt, wanting to wash my clammy hands. I feel comforted knowing I'm not the only one who's nerves are playing havoc.
Grabbing my handbag we slip out of the room unnoticed - both letting out a sigh of relief when we hit the ladies room. We look at each other and burst into fits of giggles. We splash our faces and talk about what we do. She is so much like myself. She still works, despite being married to a billionaire, she wants to earn her way much like myself, only she works in advertising.
"Christian's going to throw a tantrum when he realises I'm gone."
"So is Gideon." She rolls her eyes and we fall onto the corner snakeskin looking sofa, next to a makeup bench surrounded in bright bulbs.
"I give it 10 minutes and he'll have the whole building on lock down." She giggles.
"Really? I give mine 5." She looks at me and instantly I know that she can relate to Christians sometimes over bearing, over protective ways.
"But I have cell on me so there should be someone tearing in any second now." We clutch our stomachs in laughter - comrades in this hilarious fucked up situation. Only wives of billionaires would be doubled over laughing hiding from security in what has to be the fanciest restroom I've seen.
"Maybe we should get back out there." I sigh, my bout of laughter subsiding.
"Maybe we should." She stands up begrudgingly and places her oversized handbag on her shoulder.
We walk side by side back down the corridor. "I was so nervous to meet you, I don't know why." She mutters.
"Really?" I stop in my tracks.
She stops besides me. "I guess I was expecting the usual rich trophy wife. Pretentious, Botox, flashing dollar signs." I cough, my throat closing over in amusement.
"That couldn't be further from the truth." I scoff.
"I can tell. I like you already." She links her arm in mine and we continue walking down the corridor at a leisurely pace. We look at each other and burst out laughing when we hear a commotion coming from around the corridor bend.
"What the fuck Eva, where the hell...?" Gideon runs around the corner first, I start laughing harder when I see him do Christians signature move - he sweeps a hand through his dark hair and comes to an abrupt stop when he sees us giggling into each other.
"Jesus Ana..." Christian slides to a stop behind Gideon - he too is running a hand through his hair. "Stand down Sawyer, she is here." He says into his phone, shaking his head and looking pissed.
"Don't do that again baby." Christian sighs and strolls over to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. I look up at him, biting my lip trying to stifle the giggles that still want to break free. "Don't bite your lip." He whispers and presses his lips to mine. "I was worried sick about you."
"I'm sorry. I went to the ladies room with Eva." I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him gently. "I should have told you."
"Damn right you should have told me." He kisses me again, a long gentle kiss. I break away knowing that Eva and Gideon are still in the corridor with us. Looking up I see Eva in Gideon's arms, sharing a similar moment to Christian and I.
I feel Christian tense beside me. He is looking at Gideon who is now looking at us. He slings an arm around my shoulder and pulls me into his side possessively. Oh good grief. I watch on wide eyed as Gideon does the same to Eva. It's so ridiculous it's
funny. Eva looks at me and rolls her eyes.
"Cross." Christian says bluntly, his shoulders straighten and his chest puffs out a little.
"Grey." Gideon replies, standing taller and jerking his neck.
"Come on." I tug at Christian, "we are probably holding this whole thing up. They'll be wondering where we are."
We all re-enter the room. Jennifer's heels tap along the polished concrete floor as she makes her way to us. "There you all are." She puffs a strand of hair from her forehead. "Lets get this show on the road shall we? We'd like to do the interviews first if that's okay with everyone."
"You good with that baby? We can do the photo shoot first if you want to get that out of the way. I'm sure they won't mind, would you?" He glances up at Jennifer with his ' I dare you to say no' look. She gulps and visibly cowers.
"Whatever you'd like." She smiles nervously at me before ducking her head and looking through the papers cradled in her hands.
"What do you want to do?" I look up at Christian.
"I'm easy baby."
"Interview is fine with me." I think I prefer to get to know the Cross's before I get my clothes off in front of them. Jennifer looks relieved and guides us over to an 'L' shaped sofa on the far right of the room. The sofa is situated In the corner, behind it is a spectacular view of New York City. I take a few moments to look down on the hustle and bustle below.
"Its amazing isn't it." Eva comes up beside me. "See that building over there?" She points out over the city and counts across the buildings for me. "That is CrossFire, Gideon's building, and where I work."
"Wow. Impressive." I nod my head as she points out other interesting things.
"How long are you here for? I'd love to show you around." She offers.
"We leave tomorrow night. I'd like that."
"Great we'll talk later." She squeezes my hand before going to sit down on the sofa. I follow close behind her and sit next to Christian. He is relaxed and slouched back with his hand draped over the back of the sofa talking to Gideon about some sort of technology. I snuggle up into his side and wait for the interview to start.
Jennifer walks over with a young man who is carrying a tablet. He doesn't look much older than myself. He has blonde hair and green eyes, in fact he doesn't look unlike Ethan, expect his green eyes are covered by dark, thick rimmed glasses.
"This is Rian. He'll be conducting the interviews today. Rian, how would you like to do this?"
"Good morning." He nods. "I was thinking I'd interview the ladies first, then when all of the juicy stuff is out of they way that'll free them up to leave for hair and makeup while we cover the business side of things with the men. Sound good?" He looks first to Eva who nods then to me. I nod in agreement, sitting myself up straighter to begin.
"So ladies, I think the biggest question every women wants the answer to is, how did you snag your billionaires?" I roll my eyes and he gives me an amused look. "Let me re-phrase that, how did you get the attention of 2 of Americas most eligible bachelors? What does one need to do if they want to snag themselves one of their own?" I snort with laughter as does Eva. She points at me to go first.
"Honestly, I fell over, literally. I tripped into his office, all hands and feet, it was quite embarrassing at the time." I can feel Christian chuckling quietly beside me. Eva is shaking her head laughing.
"What about you Eva?" Rian asks while scribbling on his tablet.
"You're not going to believe this, but I fell over too, literally in the Crossfire lobby. Gideon helped me up. That was the first time we met."
"So the secret to catching the attention of a billionaire is to fall over?" Rian chuckles his head bobbing in amusement. "Damsel in distress type stuff then?" He adds.
"I wouldn't say that. I think I held my own after the initial embarrassment left." I say, "I think the confidence of picking myself up and carrying on with business despite being a bumdle of nerves probably made more of an impression?" I look to Christian who is smirking at me.
"What do you say Christian? What was it about your initial meeting with Ana that caught your eye?" Rian asks him.
He strokes my shoulder with his thumb before answering. "Well look at her, she is beautiful, but what stood out the most was her honesty and her ability to see through the bullshit. She was game enough to ask me questions no one had ever had the nerve to ask, she saw right through me, she made me feel vulnerable. When she looked at me I felt like she seen Christian, not Christian Grey the business man with a big bank account. I'd never had anyone look at me and not just see the dollar signs. It unnerved me, no one has ever unnerved me before."
"So after that, did she chase you?"
"No." He scoffs. "I chased her, she wove some powerful magic that day and after days of thinking about nothing but her I had to see her."
"Gideon, what about you, what was it about Eva that caught your eye?"
"Everything. It's hard to explain, I was drawn to her like I've never been drawn to anyone. I seen her enter Crossfire and I followed her in. She was like a magnet. The chemistry was undeniable. Like Grey over there, I had to do the chasing. She shot me down a few times, but I'm a blunt, persistent man."
Eva giggles, obviously remembering something private and turns very red. I watch as he whispers something into her ear, which from here looked very much like 'I want to fuck you'. I quickly turn away and face Rian, waiting for him to continue the interview.
"Anastasia, would you say Christian is as dominant at home as he is when in business. Does he wear the pants or do you?"
"I don't think he's 'as' dominant at home. I think it's a pretty even par."
"Would you agree Christian?" Rian asks.
"No actually, I think Ana here has a slightly bigger pair of pants." He laughs, as does Rian and Gideon. I turn and glare at him. I don't think he realised how that actually sounded. He clears his throat.
"What I mean is, sometimes after a hard day at work, it's nice to go home and have someone else making all the decisions. Ana is an intelligent woman who knows what she wants and she knows how to get it. Unless its something I whole heartedly disagree with I'd never over step her."
"Eva?" She goes to open her mouth but Gideon beats her to it.
"I'd say we are very similar to the Greys. At least I'd like to think so, although if you asked anyone else who knows us well they'd probably tell you Eva has me wrapped around her little finger."
Eva shakes her head in disagreement. "No way. We are both pretty strong willed and stubborn. I'd say we are fifty fifty on the home front."
"Ladies, how do you cope with the female attention surrounding your husbands? It must be difficult knowing woman throw themselves at your men regularly."
I frown. "It's frustrating, I wont lie, but I trust Christian. To he honest I don't think he notices them half the time." I shrug, I don't want to tell him when I do happen to notice I get my claws out sometimes. I think back to the last time I was in New York and paid Christian a visit at his office, those receptionist were completely shameless.
"It's a two way thing. I have to put up with men constantly ogling my wife also." Christian growls, looking at him I notice him giving Rian a dirty look. What's that about?
"I agree." Gideon jumps in on the topic. "Eva has a flock of make admirers too. Their attention is just as unwanted." He snarls, crinkling his eyes at Rian.
"Ana, Eva, I guess you could say the average person wonders why you'd work when you have husbands who are more than able to provide for you. Why is that?"
"Why would I give up my dreams and ambitions for myself just because my husband has a lot of money?" Eva answers first.
"I'm with Eva. Just because my husband has a healthy bank balance doesn't mean I should give up my career to sit at home and lounge off his money."
"Our money." Christian growls.
"Our money." I roll my eyes. "I think having children would change the circumstances a bit. In fact I intend to shift my main focus to our children soon, but that doesn't mean I'll be sitting at home Internet shopping all day, I'll still be working from home as much as I can."
"You have to admit, you have it better than most though. You have your publishing company because of your husband, isn't that right?"
"Doesn't mean she was initially happy about it." Christian laughs.
"I got this." I smile at Christian.
"No I wasn't happy about it, but yes I was fortunate that Christian purchased the company I worked for, a job I got on my own merits I might add. Yes the company is mine but I have worked my ass off to keep it as successful as it is. It's not always about money. I like to think I work as hard as Christian to make what we have a success. Not everything is handed to us on a silver platter. If I was just a trophy wife who flitted about from shop to shop spending Christians money I think he'd get bored of me real fast."
"Amen sister." Eva giggles and winks at me. Rian look slightly uncomfortable, I don't think he was expecting us girls to be as confident as we are, in fact I'm a little surprised at how confident I am answering these questions myself. Christian seems happy enough with how I'm answering, squeezing my thigh and stroking my neck every so often.
"I'd never get bored of you baby." Christian grins. "I love that Ana works. Women seem to think men thrive on them throwing themselves at us, hanging on our every word, and kissing our feet, jumping when we say jump. I don't think that could be further from the truth. Men like to be challenged." Christian adds.
"So the submissive type is a turn off to a man of your stature?" Rian asks casually. I cough, as does Eva. Christian moves uncomfortably then clears his throat.
"I wouldn't say that. There's a time and place for being submissive. It doesn't mean it needs to be constant."He answers.
"Would you say the bedroom is one of those places?"
I freeze. How are we going to get out of this one?
"Is that your round about way of asking about our sex life?" Christian arches an eyebrow, diverting the question.
"Are you willing to share?" Rian replies boldly. Christian smirks.
"I'm a very satisfied man, that's all your getting from me."
"Gideon?" Rians eyes move to Gideon and Eva who look as uncomfortable as I feel.
Gideon licks his lips and his eyes crinkle at the sides. "More than satisfied."
"What about you ladies? Care to share any juicy details with all our female readers?"
Both Eva and I remain silent. I guess I should say something. I take a moment to think carefully about what I reveal.
"Christian puts his all into whatever he does, our private life is no exception. He's a very... Passionate man, I'm a very lucky lady."
Eva nods and says "that makes two of us."
"What can you tell us about the great Christian Grey that the public night not know?"
I answer without hesitation. "I can tell them that he's kind and charitable, not many people realise that he puts a lot of time, and his personal money into helping those less fortunate. He is an amazing husband and father. He's loving, tender, gentle, funny, romantic, yet strong and protective... I could go on all day, he's pretty much perfect other than the fact he couldn't cook to save himself." I chuckle at my last comment and turn towards Christian. He is gazing at me, his eyes are cloudy and full of desire. Cupping my face he leans forward and kisses me softly.
"I love you." He whispers against my mouth. His hands hiding his intimate words from watching eyes.
I catch the tail end of Eva talking about Gideon. They sound very similar to us.
"We have a few subscriber questions here. Readers were given the chance to email or write in with their questions. First Question, Christian, pyjamas or boxers in bed?" The question gets a laugh out of Christian.
He hesitates for a moment before answering. "None of the above, although I do I keep either boxers or pyjamas close by incase I have to get up to see to one of the children, take from that what you will."
"Ana, the next question is for you. What is one beauty product you couldn't live without?"
"Sleep." I answer. "I don't really have any staple products that I use on a regular basis. I tend to switch things up every so often."
"Christian. What is your favourite smell?"
"That ones easy. Ana straight out of the shower. You know that combination of body wash, freshly shampooed hair, moisturiser and laundered clothes. God it drives me wild."
"Really?" I ask surprised by his answer. He gives me a sly wink. I never thought he'd feel the same way about my smell as I am with his. Nothing beats the smell of Christian, body wash and freshly washed clothes.
"Eva. Favourite colour?"
"Blue."
"Gideon, boxers or briefs?"
"Boxers." He answers looking thoroughly annoyed and bored.
"Christian, if you weren't married to Ana, which celebrity would you most like to date?"
"Are you trying to fuck me off?" Christian growls. Gideon laughs out loud and slaps his knee.
"Okay then, which celebrity do you find attractive?"
Christian squints his eyes and purses his lips letting Rian know he doesn't want to answer the question. "Come on, give me something? Anything?" Rian chuckles.
"I told you before, I'm a very satisfied man." Christian says bluntly. I feel bad for Rian but at the same time pleased that Christian refuses to answer the question. There's bound to be someone out there he finds attractive, I'm just glad I don't get to find out who it is.
"Righty-o then, Eva, do you have plans to have children in there near future?"
"Yes."
"Can you be any more specific?"
"No." She blurts like she's trying to hide something.
"Ana, funniest person you know?"
"Oh that's easy. My brother in law Elliot. He's a hoot. And when Elliot and Christian are together it's hilarious."
"Christian, you were recently photographed taking your son to a Wiggles concert. Was that by choice?"
"I don't do anything I don't want to do. But no I didn't offer, he asked, his behaviour warranted a treat and so I took him."
"A treat?" Rian raises his eyebrow. "You also arranged a private Wiggles concert that night. That's a little more than a treat isn't it?"
"I had my reasons." Christian and I burst out laughing causing a few curious looks.
"Can you explain?" Rian asks.
"Lets just say someone close to me threw down a challenge which I took personally and ultimately succeeded in accomplishing."
"Sounds...interesting."
"Oh, it was definitely worth the effort." Christian grins at me.
"Christian and Gideon. As men who no doubt have everything they desire, what's one thing you wish you had but don't."
Gideon answers first. "A child with Eva, but we're working on that." He winks at Eva.
"And you Christian?"
"I guess it's not really something tangible like an item or possession, But I'd love nothing more than for Ana to play the piano so we could do a duet together."
"Really? You never said anything?" I turn into Christian and look up into his eyes.
"It's just something I think would be nice." He shrugs. Wow, I had no idea and for some reason the revelation has me feeling a little excited. I could do that for him. I'm not very musical and it would probably take me a year to learn to play 'twinkle twinkle little star' but I'm willing to give it a shot - I won't tell him that though.
"We have one last reader question. This one is for both Eva and Ana. Our readers want to know... If you could change one thing about your men, what would it be?"
"Oh gosh, that's a hard one." Eva taps her finger on her lip thinking about the question. "Maybe make him less of a work-a-holic. I'd love for us to be able to have more down time together but I also understand and appreciate that he was that way before I met him and I accept his company is a part of who he is."
"Ana?"
"Um... I guess maybe his swearing?"
"My swearing?" Christian laughs.
"Yes, it's the only thing I could think of." I whisper.
"Well I'm shocked, if the worst thing about me is my swearing I must be doing something right." He kisses the tip of my nose.
Rian lets us know that we are more than welcome to take a drink break before he continues the interview with Christian and Gideon and us girls a whisked away to hair and make up.
Jennifer, who has been floating in the background saunters over and lets us know they have a refreshment room set up for us and to follow her.
Christian wraps his arms around my back as we walk out of the room and pulls me in tight. "You did great baby."
"Do you think?" I slide my hand into his jeans pocket and give his ass a cheeky squeeze.
"Feel like skipping the drink and finding a soundproof room." He whispers in my ear.
"Christian." I look up at Eva, Gideon and Jennifer who were walking in front of us. Jennifer has opened a door and shown them into the refreshment room. Christian turns and presses me up against the corridor wall. "I can practice being passionate." He hums against my neck.
"I'm fully aware of how passionate you are." I breathe into his hair. He lifts his head and cups my face before pressing his lips to mine, coaxing them apart with his tongue.
"Oh excuse me." Jennifer mumbles.
"Sorry." I say embarrassed.
"No need to apologise. The refreshments are just through there. I'll come and get you when make-up are ready for you." She smiles, looking un-phased at catching us smooching.
"Thank you." I mumble as she walks away. I slap Christians arm lightly. We have to stop getting caught like this."
"I can't help it, you're just to damn sexy for your own good." He laughs.
"Well if you behave maybe I can satisfy you some more when we get home."
A/N: Once again I apologise for the delay in updates. I had this written days ago but I ran out of data on my phone and with only a few days until renewal I didn't want to purchase another bundle of data because I'm not on a carry over plan. The good news is that the next chapter is almost complete so I should be able to give you a pretty quick update - 'should' being the million dollar word.
I just want to say... For those of you with iPhones, I download books in my library, and I've just finished a few books that I absolutely loved! It's the 'Edge' series by A.M Hargrove. There are three books so far, the first one is 'Edge of disaster'. It's a free download, then 'shattered edge' - which is 99c. Followed by 'Kissing fire' which is also only 99c. They are all intertwined. So worth reading, full of drama and hot! If you have read them or do so in the future let me know what you think! I highly recommend them if you can get your hands on them.
Thanks for reading, next chapter the photo shoot and a night out with the Cross's
Candie xx
