Helping A New Friend
Austin walked back to his stall and saw his brand new, polished 1967 Corvette Stingray, right next to Chase's Camaro. "Look at this beauty" Austin exclaimed. " Well that 'beauty' of yours has to be out on the track by 4:00 for qualifying" Chase explained. Austin rolled his car to pit lane for qualifying when he saw the girl, Elsa. She was in her sky blue firesuit next to her 2013 sky blue Nissan Skyline GTR. Austin continued to roll his car when Elsa yelled his name. "Austin!" Elsa yelled. Austin turned to see Elsa right next to him with a smile. "Can you help me which is the best line to get the best run" she asked with a cheerful attitude. Austin wanted to stay quiet so he can't tell her how to run the line to get the best run, but since she was his newly found friend and was also royalty, he couldn't stay quiet. "I would recommend the inside line, you get around the track faster" answered Austin. "Thanks" she said. Just before she could get out, her crew man accidentally pushed her car into her, causing her to fall on Austin. "Whoops, sorry" she said with a giggle. A slight blush covered her face. Austin on the other hand felt wierd, knowing that he just wanted her to be his friend. "It's okay" he said wierdly. "Well, bye Austin" Elsa said with a slight tone of flirty in her voice. "Bye" Austin said confused. "Oh, is Austin getting a lady" Chase said. He was behind them the whole time. "For the last time, NO" Austin said. "Well look at that girl" Chase said in amuzement. He was looking at a girl next to Elsa, a red-haired girl, probably younger than him. "Hey, can you go ask Elsa who she is" asked Chase. "What! No" exclaimed Austin. "I'll tell Childress who you found, a young pretty lady who's your friend" Chase said. "Ugh, fine" complained Austin. He walked to Elsa to ask who was the red-haired girl. "Uh, Elsa" Austin said. Elsa turned around quickly with a delightful smile in her face. "Yes" Elsa exclaimed happily. "Who's that red-haired girl" Austin asked. Elsa's happy face quickly turned to a worried face. "Oh, that's my sister, Anna. She has been going through a divorce, so I've been talking to her all the time" she said worried. "Why" she asked. "Oh, Chase over here has set his eyes on her" Austin said. Elsa quickly let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, good, I've thought you've had intrest in her and not me" Elsa said happily. "What" Austin said confused. "Nothing" Elsa quickly said. Austin walked away to see Chase waiting for him next to his car. "So, what you know" Chase asked. "Well she is the queen's sister, Anna and has been going through a divorce, so go knock yourself out" Austin insisted. "Wish me, luck" said Chase. "I'll try to" Austin yelled as Chase walked towards the red-haired girl. Austin looked at his watch to see what tim it is. It was 4:00. It was time to qualify. The cars started to roll out onto the track. "What qualifying style we're using" Austin asked Chase. "We're doing it single car style, like it's supposed to be" Chase answered. Some of the cars got some fast runs, Sebastian Vettel got position 11th in the 2011 Mercedes-Benz AMG, Chase got position 12th, Sergio Perez got positon 16th in the 2011 Ferrari California, even the founder, Kazunori Yamauchi, got a repectable 14th in the 2011 Toyota Supra. Only two cars left to qualify, Austin's 1967 Chevy Corvette Stingray and Elsa's 2011 Nissan Skyline GTR. Elsa went first. The Skyline did get a good start, but not good enough. As she ran around the track, Austin noticed something. She was mostly using the inside. Austin knows that in order to get a fast run, you need to first run the outside and to get a faster run on the inside, you need to get close to yellow line, which she wasn't doing, although she got a 2nd place position. Elsa then pulled up next to Austin's car. "So how did I do for my first time" Elsa told Austin in her cheerful attitude. "Not bad. Not bad" Austin told her. Finally, it was Austin's turn. He first started running on the outside to pick up some speed. He noticed the marker on the position number going up at a fast rate. 16th. 14th. 10th. 5th. As he finshed his first lap, he started his last with this number on the dashboard, 2nd. He did what he had to do, get close to the yellow line to get a faster run. As he got close to start-finish line, he saw his car number go up. Then he looked at the dashboard. 1st. He got the pole position on his first time in this event. Austin felt happy in the inside. As he pulled up to his stall, Elsa surprised him and gave him a hug. "Whoa, don't get too huggy" Austin exclaimed. "I just want to give a hug of good job" Elsa whispered. Austin quickly got goosebumps on the way she wispered it into his ear. He quickly got free and walked to Chase. "Race is going to start next Sunday, so we better get some rest. I booked a hotel room for us with to rooms, it's only 3 miles away from here" Chase said. "Meet me there. I'll go change out" Austin said. As Austin went change out, he heard a crash. He looked back to see Chase with a bucket on his head. "You dummy" Austin teased. After Austin changed out, he got into his car when he saw something in the distance. It was Elsa, waiting in the parking lot all alone. "Oh boy" Austin whispered. As he pulled up, Elsa quickly turned back. "Hey, need a ride" Austin asked. Elsa looked happy when Austin asked her that question. "Yes, please" Elsa said happlily. She got in to the car and the two pulled away. Austin was driving when Elsa complained she was hungry. "Austin, I'm hungry" Elsa complained. "Fine, where do you want to go" Austin asked. She was quiet for a moment, when she finally spoke. "I don't know. You decide" Elsa said. Austin looked up ahead to see a McDonald's. So he pulled up to get the food. As they got in, they thought on what to order. They finally decided and ordered the food. "Wait for me at the car" Austin told Elsa. Elsa did what Austin did and waited for him in the car. As Austin got the food and walked out, something grabed his shoulder. "You two going on a date" the voice said. He looked back to see Chase, with a smile on his face. "For the last freakin time, NO" Austin yelled. "By the way, what are you doing here" Austin asked. Chase pointed back to see Elsa's sister, Anna. "What did you do" Austin asked again. "I asked her out on a date" Chase answered. Austin facepalmed and kept on going to the car. He got into the car and pulled away. "By the way, where are you staying" asked Austin. "It's a hotel 3 miles away from here" Elsa responded. Austin looked at her with a surprised face, knowing it was the same hotel he was staying at. "I'm also staying there" Austin said in amazement. A little smile lit on Elsa's face when Austin said that to her. When they finally reached their destination, they walked to there hotel room's to get some rest. "Hey Austin" Elsa said. "Yeah" Austin answered. "Thanks and can you give me a ride on Sunday, please" asked Elsa. "Yeah, sure" answered Austin. "Thanks. Bye" Elsa said with a flirtatious giggle and entered her room. Austin walked into his room and waited for Chase. While waiting, he played for a while on his PS3. When Chase came home, the question game started. "So, how was your date" asked Austin. "It went pretty well" aswered Chase. "Hey, guess what" said Chase. "What" aswered Austin. "Anna said that you and Elsa would make a great couple" said Chase. "What?! No, I only want Elsa to be my friend and thats that. Besides, I promised myself I would stay single for a while so I can concetrate on my racing career" said Austin. "Yeah, sure" said Chase sarcasticly. "Oh, shut up and go to bed" yelled Austin. Both went to bed and Austin was thinking, what if Elsa did like him? What he tell her about what he thinks? He forgot those questions and drifted to sleep, still thinking of those questions even though he tried to forget.
