AN: Hey guy's. Sorry I've taken so long to update this story. Right after I started it last year some stuff started happening and I just wasn't inspired to continue writing it. But I've been determined to finish this story and I refuse to continue "The Power of a first kiss" which I am sooooo excited about until I finish this one. I'm not a quitter and that is my way of motivating myself to finish it. And although not that many people are following this story. I feel as if I still owe it to the one's that are to finish it. So enough of that. Here's chapter 5!

"Alright guys, today is the day we put this plan into play. Well, it's not much of a plan honestly. It's not much we all have to do. Let's drop the whole plan things actually. Let's just call it The Ash Story?" "Shut it." Says Brock. He was tired of Gary's sarcastic tone of voice. "Don't get jealous because Ash always comes to the rescue. Someone has to and it's him. He's the chosen one so just deal with it. And we don't have the time for your jealousy. This is about getting Misty out of a potential abusive relationship. The way you feel doesn't mean shit!" Gary take's a step back and is surprised at Brock's words. Brock was usually kind and soft spoken. He'd never heard him speak like that. Gary decides its best to take Brock's advice, so he just shuts up.

The group was all sitting at Misty's house. Just like the other day when they talked this over. Gary was upset that the plan didn't account for really anyone else to do anything but Ash. That's if they could find him and get him to agree. Gary didn't doubt that he would either since he knew that Misty was hating being with the Team Rocket member.

"Everyone, let's put egos aside." Say's May deciding to speak up. "It doesn't matter who it is that save's Misty from this situation. All that matters is that our friend is freed from this evil man. So that she doesn't live her life attached to a thug! Gary, I know Ash is your rival. But you aren't kids anymore. This isn't about which hero can get to the damsel in distress fastest. This is about freeing Misty. And only Ash can get what we need out of Butch to make it happen. You're the grandson of one of the greatest minds ever. So I know you understand the situation."Gary loosens up some, realizing that May was right. "You're right May. I'm not a kid anymore. And this isn't play time. We have to do what friends do. Which is be there for each other."He looks at Misty and smiles. "We all have a role in this. no matter how little it may be. It all adds up to the big picture. Which is getting Misty rid of Butch… FOREVER!" He finishes with his fist balled and pumped up into the air. Everyone cheers and agrees while raising their fist as well.

"Alright guys. You all remember the plan right. It's time to head out!" Everyone nods their heads and goes to their destinations. "Today is a big day. I hope it works out. I want to be with you Ash. And i won't stop until I am rid of that monster and can confess to you!" Misty runs out to her destination with that same determination and fire that gave her the nickname "Fiery redhead." Determined to take her life back into her own hands.

LATER THAT DAY

"I'm surprised that id find someone as beautiful as you walking along the street. I was just about to head out of town when I saw you. After that smile I saw on your face I had to stop." "Oh stop it, you're making me blush" Butch smiles as he leads her down the sidewalk and into the park. They lightly chat until they make their way to a bench. They then sit down and begin to have a conversation. "So you said you were heading out of town right? Where were you going?" Ask the lady. "Oh just a business trip. Probably be gone for a little bit. But I plan on coming back." He turns and faces her and takes her hand into his. "After seeing that beautiful smile of yours. I just have to come back so I can see it again." The lady blushes. "I would love that. I haven't been with a man in awhile." She says as places a hand on his thigh. "Will you come back for me? A.. And…. Make love to me?" Butch grins and caresses her cheek. "Of course I will. If you wait for me?" She nods her head and smiles. She then proceeds to get up. "Thank you sir for your company. I look forward to seeing you again. I have to get back to my errands now so I have to leave." She places a piece of paper onto his lap, then turns and walks away. "See you later!" She yells back to him as she walks off.

He sit's there and watches the beautiful woman with an amazing body slowly disappear off into the distance. "Man I sure know how to get em. First Misty and now her. Best thing about this one is that i won't have to drug her. And she seems pretty gullible to fall for a guy within 30 minutes to an hour." He looks up and smiles to himself. Proud of his accomplishments with the ladies. But it was short lived. He notices someone walking up to him. "So you at it again?" Say's the man with a very stern/angry tone. Butch stands up and turns to his left to face the man that approached him. "So you've found me? I expected to see you again. Just not this soon." "Well when it comes to you harming my friends. You should always be in the look out for me." Butch walks up in front of the man and gets into his face. Are you threatening me?" "No, just telling you the truth. Say's the man back to Butch without backing down a bit. He then starts to smile and laugh. Butch gets angry and spits into the man's face, then smiles after doing so. The man though surprisingly just continues to laugh and wipes the spit off of his face. "That the best you got Butch?" Butch, now enraged. Yells and hits the man with a left hook as hard as he possibly can. He stumbles backwards a little but continues to laugh.

After seeing this, Butch snaps and charges at him. "Fuck you Ketchum! I'll kill you!" He starts swinging wildly at Ash. He connects on about half of them. After wildly landing a strong left hook, Ash falls to the ground. Butch stands over him and pulls out a gun and points it at Ash's head. "You know Ash. I thought you had died those years ago. And I was happy about it. But I was sad as well. Because of what you did to me and because of the fact that I didn't kill you myself. But now, I have that opportunity to kill you myself. And look in your eyes as you're helpless. And you die knowing that i'm only with Misty just to use her and fuck her before handing her over to the boss!" He grins and starts to laugh. Die bastard! Ash closes his eye's and braces himself as he hears the gunshot fire.

Seconds later, he hears a scream. But its not coming from him. He opens his eyes slowly to see Butch on his knees crying out in pain. Ash looks and can see blood on the ground under Butch's chest. He slowly stands up and gets on his feet. Next thing he knows, he's surrounded by people. Officer Jenny approaches with her gun out. And so does May, Tracey, Paul, Dawn, Drew Gary, Brock and Misty

Officer Jenny walks up behind Butch and forces him on his feet. Ignoring his yells of pain. "Butch you are under arrest! Anything you say can and will be used against you!" She then cuffs him and turns towards Ash. "I'm sorry you had to endure that beating. But it won't be for nothing. I'll make sure he gets what he deserves, and the rest of Team Rocket as well. I'll need you to come in and write a statement whenever you get out the hospital because you should definitely go and let them check you out." Ash nods his head and Officer Jenny nods back. She then walks away from the group, pulling the still yelling Butch along with her. Slowly as Officer Jenny walks off, the group surrounds Ash. Ash looks around at everyone. Brock and Tracey are smiling. Gary and Paul have a big grin on their face. May is in silent tears with Drew trying to console her. Dawn was cheering. And Misty has a look on her face that Ash can't figure out. The silence was starting to get awkward. And I think everyone notices. May, no longer able to keep her emotions in. Rushes into Ash and embraces him into a big hug while crying a little louder. The rest of the group follows along and they all embrace him into one big group hug. One by one. Everyone but Misty. Which doesn't go unnoticed by Ash.

After about a minute everyone lets go and stands back a little. "Excuse me guy's" Say's Ash. "I think I need a minute with Misty." Everyone nods and they all walk over towards the bench that Butch sat on to give the two a little privacy. Once the group is gone. Ash walks up to Misty who still doesn't show any emotion or feelings on her face. Ash walks right up to her and lifts her chin up to look him straight in the eyes. "Don't worry. I'm not going to run. I'm here for good Mist." He then wraps her up in a hug. And for a while the two stand there, motionless. And after about a minute or two. Misty breaks down. Ash can feel her legs give away. He holds onto her tighter as she starts to cry harder and harder so that she doesn't fall.

The group watches the two from the bench. Smiling because the two are finally together. "I'm glad Ashy boy is back. I've grown to care for Misty over the years. And she just wasn't the same without him around. He meant alot to her." The group nods. "Yeah, he meant so much to me too. I even have romantic feelings towards him. But I couldn't act on it or let it show. I know there's no way I can compete with the love of those two." She wipes the tears from her eyes and Brock pats her on the back. "But its ok. He's an awesome guy. I'm sure most of the girls he's known has liked him, though he's too dense to know." Everyone laughs at this. Ash being dense was an understatement. He probably didn't even know what the meaning of flirting was back then. "It's ok though because see, you have me!" Say's Drew with a grin and a rose in his mouth. May laughs at his attempt to cheer her up. "Well atleast he has charm." Say's Dawn. May smiles and nods. They all then turn their attention back to the other two who were now walking towards the group. Misty was leaning on Ash and he had his arm around her shoulder. He smiles as they approach the group.

"Hey guy's, longtime no see!" He say's as he grins. "You can say that again. I've been missing you more than anyone else here. You owe me a pokemon battle you bastard!" Say's Paul with his fist balled and all pumped up. Everyone sweatdrops and then begins to laugh. "Good to see you too Paul" Say's Ash as he chuckles. "Speaking of pokemon battles" Ash looks down to Misty. "Where's Pikachu? I know he's in your care now Misty. I'd love to see him." Misty looks up at him and tells him quietly with a smile that he's at the gym waiting on them. "Ok, well first thing first. I'm gonna go ahead and go to the Hospital and then stop by the Police Department So I can get all of this taken care of. I don't want anything getting in the way from catching up with you all." At the thought of Ash leaving Misty's side for anything. She holds on to him even tighter. Ash smiles and grips her a little tighter too and thinks to himself. "Don't worry Misty. I won't leave your side."

"Well alright then!" Say's Brock excitedly. "Let's head to the hospital and get you all doctored up so we can see Pikachu shock the crap out of you. If I remember correctly, Pikachu was absorbing all the electricity in the house so that he can damn near kill you himself when he saw you." Ash shivers at the thought and takes a step back. "Ummmm, on second thought. I can skip visiting him." He say's nervously. Everyone including Misty laughs. It had been her first genuine laugh in over 3 years. She felt like her soul was becoming happier and stronger as she laughed. She lets go of Ash and then grabs his hand and starts to pull him along. "Come on Ashy boy! Your destiny awaits you!" She teases. She gives him a smile and a wink. Ash can't do anything but smile back and allow himself to be dragged along by his longtime redhead friend. It was good to be back...

And I promise it won't take almost a year to put it out. It will be out soon. Even if I have to type it out while I'm at work (like i did this one. lol.)
