Hi everyone! I have to say that I'm not really proud of this chapter, but I already have the delivery chapter and I just wanted to post something before that one. Sorry for that =) Also, thank you very much for all of you guys reading and for your reviews. They keep me motivated to keep on writing!

She was bored. Again. She couldn't believe Castle was at the precinct consulting without her. She couldn't believe that the boys had called him before calling her. She was a bit jealous Castle was allowed to be at the 12th and she had to stay at home. "The baby it's nearly here, babe". Right. Like if she couldn't do anything when there was just a month left to due date. She took a sip of her tea (she was a tea person since she found out she wasp pregnant; decaf was disgusting) and let herself fell onto the couch. She started flipping through channels but nothing caught her attention. She walked to their library and looked for something to read.

Patterson, Cannel, Connelly, Castle... Too many choices. She had already read most of them and she was looking for something exciting. Something new. And then she saw it. A little pink book on one of the top shelves that she hadn't seen before. "The expectant father: facts tips and advice for dads-to-be". Oh, gosh, he is so cute. She didn't know if he had it already from when he was going to have Alexis or he just bought it for their baby. She didn't care (who would?). He was reading to be a good dad when he was already an amazing one. She sat on their bed and started turning pages. It was similar to most of the books she had looked at. Not that she had read them in the way Castle seemed to have had. He had written comments on the sides of the pages such as "definitely not home-delivery", "look for books to learn more about the pregnancy stages" or "Man up and don't freak out". She felt like a terrible mother. But she also felt so lucky to have him.

With the book still open on her lap she took her phone and texted him.

"I've found your little secret" and pressed send.

She didn't have to wait for a minute before he answered "I promise, that's not mine. It's a friend's. He asked me to keep it in that box for the weekend".

"I have no idea of what you're talking about. I meant the expectant father's book. Now I'm curious"

"Stay OUT of that room, KB. I just wanted to be prepared"

"Are you hiding toys from me? Something that you learned that you want to share with the class?"

"I don't know if you are sexting right now or just asking about the book. Prefer the sexting"

"How's the case going? I'm bored. Want you home."

"I think we'll close it up soon. I'm a great consultant. I miss you here"

"Want to have lunch with me? I could bring it to the precinct and help you there while eating"

"Not a good case for having lunch in front of the murder board. But having lunch together sounds really good. Remy's at 12?

"'kay. I'll take a shower and grab a taxi there"

"Could you send me a shower picture? With you inside, of course."

"In your dreams, babe".

She took a quick shower, humming one of the songs she had been listening at night when the baby wouldn't stop moving. She got dressed with one of those maternity pants she hated and a baggy t-shirt. She just wanted to loose her belly to get on her heels again.

"We are going to see daddy, baby. He is helping uncle Kevin and tio Javi at mom's work. Maybe we get to see them too."

She got her bag, looked in the mirror and smiled at her reflect. it was kind of true that she was gleaming. She felt terrible most of the days, but she was happy. Extremely happy and excited. She had already started counting the days to due date. Castle had teased her about that, saying that she was no more "detective Beckett" but "mommy Beckett" now. It was true. Kind of, at least. She wanted her baby, and she didn't feel ashamed about that. Sure. She missed the precinct. She missed being with the guys, collaring criminals and going into interrogations. But she also wanted to take care of her kid. She kept on imagining a little baby Castle who would only stop crying on her arms and who would think she was the funniest person in the world. Ok. Maybe the baby would think that Castle was funnier that she was, but she didn't care. Kate rubbed her belly and laughed when the baby kicked.

"I love you, my sweet baby. I can't wait to see you in this big world." She placed a soft kiss on her hand and moved it to her tummy, to kiss the baby, earning a kick in response."Let's go see daddy."
