Back at the hospital, the gang is all together. Ash's little wounds have been treated. And the gang is sitting all together in the waiting room chatting while they wait on a doctor to bring Ash his pain reliever medication. "Alright guys. So tell me how this all got put together. The only thing I know is what Brock persuaded me to do. Which was to confront him and antagonize him but not hit him." "Well Ash." Say's Dawn. "It was a well devised plan. Almost everyone had a part to play in it. Brock's job was to convince you. May's job was to be the always seductive women in the red dress. Misty's job was trying to predict where Butch would be. And the rest of us were assigned with trying to persuade Officer Jenny to come with us to watch and arrest him. She was reluctant at first but after we told her everything she was all in. It also gave her an opportunity to get some info on the ever so annoying Team Rocket gang. As you could see. The plan was accomplished! Misty's finally away from that bastard!" Everyone smiles and Misty laughs. "You act like he had been a bastard this whole time. I mean overall he definitely is a bastard. But we didn't know that till a few day's ago." "Any time with a bastard is too much time with a bastard!" Dawn shoots back with a grin. Misty just smiles and lets it go. She couldn't argue. Dawn was definitely right. Once everyone calms down their laughter, Paul turns his attention towards Ash and begins to speak. "Ok, now what's your story Ash? We heard from Brock what was going on. But is feeling as if you could interrupt her relationship really what kept you away? If that's the case, i'm confused as to how you felt you would get in the way." Everyone now is looking between the two men and are fully into the conversation. They had all been wondering the same thing. Ash looks around and notices that all eye's were on him. He sighs and then begins to speak. "As you all know, Brock and Misty were my two first friends. Besides Gary, but i couldn't figure out if I hated or like Gary at first." "I still don't know myself Ashy boy" Cuts in Gary with a grin. Ash grins a little himself then continues. "But yeah, they're my two longest friends. And even though i'm close with all of you. I'm probably the closest with those two. So I figured that naturally, with Misty thinking I was dead for years. If I were to come back into her life. She would be so happy and would want to spend a lot of time with me. Trying to make up for lost time. And I thought that could take away from her being with him. Which in turn could make him upset or jealous. Regardless of the situation. I know if I had a woman and she was spending so much time with another man then id be a little upset." Everyone in the room seems to agree seeing as how they are all nodding their head. Sensing Ash was done. May then speaks up. "So, how long were you going to wait before you finally let everyone know you were alive?" Ash is about to speak but he then pauses and frowns a little. He looks up at May. "Honestly?" She nods her head. Ash waits a minute then hangs his head down and speaks up. "I might have never told you all…" Everyone sits there in disbelief and Misty quickly stands up in shock. "Ash, what do you mean never?" Questions May. "Look, it's not that I wanted to. But I figured if i had come back alive. Team Rocket might come after me. And to get to me, they might try to use you all. And I didn't want that to happen. They wanted to use Misty just to get to me. And they're so petty that i'm sure they'd try to do something like that again. I just didn't want any of you to be hurt. You all had seemed to move on and Misty seemed to have someone that was there for her and helping her. So i thought about not saying anything to you all at all. But once he tried to hurt her. I couldn't just sit there and do nothing. If I can, i'll never let anything happen to any of you." Everyone seems to have calmed down some but they were still pretty upset. Especially Misty who was still just standing there trying to take in his words. Little did she know, she was about to process something even more than she just was. "Guys?" Say's Ash trying to get everyone's attention. "I might still have to leave you all." He say's as he slowly lifts his up. "With Butch being captured. I'm sure they're going to go after Team Rockets HQ. Giovanni won't be happy. He'll know it's because of me. And i'm sure he'll come after all of you to get to me. So if I were to disappear now, maybe he wou…." Ash is immediately cut off. Everyone sits there in shock at what they were hearing and what they just saw. They all turned their attention to Misty who was standing in front of Ash breathing heavily and staring at him with a look that made them all cower in fear. Ash just sits there and absentmindedly starts to rub the side of his face that was just struck by a very hard slap. He looks up at Misty, wanting to say something but not able to find any words. Misty on the other hand, had plenty to say. "Ash, what the fuck!? You think you can play with me like that? You think you can play with my heart! You die protecting ME those years ago! I become a shell of myself and get drugged by that asshole! Just for you to come back into my life and save my life AGAIN! I cried on you. Let all my emotions out from missing you. And now you tell me you're planning on disappearing again for possibly the rest of my life! What is wrong with you!? Did that fall cause you to lose human emotion or something?! I can't believe I fell in love with a jerk like you!" She yells out of frustration and reaches back to slap Ash again but is stopped by Brock. Everyone else was too shocked at what was going on to react. But Brock reacted, wanting to stop things from escalating any further. Misty stands there and drops her head. She takes her free hand and holds up hand to her chest, right over her heart. "It's empty here." She says quietly. "My hearts gone. People call me heartless and they're right. I don't have a heart inside of me. I haven't had one in years. My hearts been everywhere but with me. Hoenn, Shinnoh, back to Johto, dead…." She pulls her arm away from Brock gently and stands up straight. Everyone looks at her face as tears fall from her eyes. "I want my heart back with me!" She yells out and then turns and runs away and out of the hospital. For awhile everyone just stands there. No one knows what to do. They're all still stunned. After a while Brock looks to Ash and is about to speak. But he's cut off by Ash. Ash stands up and pats Brock on the shoulder. "I know Brock, I'm going after her. I know what I need to do." Brock nods and speaks up. "Everyone deserves a heart. Especially their own." Ash nods in agreement. "You're right." He then moves his hand off of Brock's shoulder and walks out of the hospital as well. Brock and the rest of the group watches as Ash walks out of the hospital. With everyone silently hoping Misty's words would finally bring her heart back to her. 30 minutes later Misty is sitting down at her favorite spot. Right on the edge of a pond right outside of Cerulean City. She's sitting there trying to calm herself down. She's been sitting there going back and forth between crying and cursing Ash's name. "Stupid Ash!" She yells out. "Fucking jerk, he's always played around with my heart. When will he ever stop?" She hangs her head down and cries silently to herself. She was so confused and hurt. She didn't know what to think or feel. "Im sorry you feel that way." Say's a very familiar voice. One she wasn't expecting to hear. She falls to the side in surprise. Ash stands in front of her and offers her a hand up. She looks at his hand and then back up at him and slaps it away. She sits back up and then looks to the side. "I don't want to see you Ash. Go away." Ash pulls back his hand and takes a seat next to Misty. "Now, why would you want me to do a thing like that? You don't want me to leave. Yet you're pushing me away right now. Which one is it? That fiery hair of yours must be making your brain too hot for you to think. Maybe you should cool off miss Water Pokemon Master" Teases Ash with a little laugh. Misty is now in disbelief. She couldn't believe she had just spilled her heart out in front of not only Ash, but everyone else as well. And here Ash was, sitting next to her and poking fun at her as if nothing happened. She turns around to give Ash a piece of her mind and put him in his place. But before she could. Something she could have never expected happened. She was lips to lips with Ash. She was absolutely shocked. Her mind was going crazy. Her brain simply couldn't comprehend what was going on. But regardless of that, her body seemed to understand. She had no control as her eyes slowly closed and she gave in to him and kissed back. She kissed back with everything she had. She yearned to show Ash everything she felt. Ash leaned in further and put his hand to her cheek, deepening the kiss. Misty could feel the tears, hot and wet flowing down her face like a river. She felt so much, she never knew feelings like this existed. She felt love, pain, sadness, desperation, happiness and regret all in this kiss and his touch. She felt it deep, within every part of her. All the way down to her soul. Once the two finally need to regain air, they stop. They slowly pull apart, and slowly open their eyes. Looking each other deep in the eyes. Ash smiles. "Did you feel that?" Misty smiles and nods her head. "Good." He says. "Because what you just felt. Was my soul.. I was wrong for taking your heart all over the place and not bringing it where it belonged. So in return. I gave you my soul." He starts to caress her cheek. "My soul is yours, it belongs to you and you can do whatever you want with it. So now, you have two souls and I have two hearts. Can i keep your heart in exchange for my soul?" Misty cries a little harder and nods her head furiously. She then wraps him up in a big hug. She could feel both their souls and hearts joined together when she does this. And she smiles into his chest. Knowing that her dream of recapturing her heart, was finally no longer just a dream…
AN: Hey guy's, that's the end of this story. Hope you all enjoyed it! It took me awhile to finish this story unfortunately, but I finally did. I hope it was worth it for all of those that had been waiting for it to finish. Im not too proud of this one because I drifted off from it and had to change it so that I could make sure that it at least got finished. But I promise guys that my next story will be longest and best out of the one's i've posted on here so far. It won't take nearly as long as this one did.
