"This is insane! What charges do you have against me?" Mr. Northwest yelled.

As Mr. Northwest was ready his Miranda Rights, Dipper came into the room.

"What is going on? I heard yelling!" Dipper said.

"These insane policeman are arresting me!" Mr. Northwest said.

"What are you doing? This man has done nothing wrong!" Dipper said.

"We have evidence that says otherwise." the officer said.

"I will hire every lawyer in the country!" Mr. Northwest yelled.

Pacifica stared blankly at the wall.

"Pacifica, come on! Tell them your dad isn't a criminal!" Dipper said.

Pacifica continued to stare.

"You heard the man! I'm innocent!" Mr. Northwest yelled.

"Tell it to the judge." the policeman said.

"What charges are being made against this man?" Dipper asked.

"An anonymous person provided documents connecting this man to the dead Xavier Ryan." the policeman said.

"What? That's ridiculous! Dipper, help me!" Mr. Northwest said.

"Don't worry, I am a detective! I can find evidence to prove your innocence!" Dipper said as the policemen dragged Mr. Northwest away.

Then, Dipper turned to Pacifica.

"Can you believe this? To think someone would actually say your father had a connection to the man who shot you?" Dipper said.

"You know, frankly, some part of me believes it. He came in here complaining about me being with you again. He tried apologizing, but I got the sense he still is bothered by us." Pacifica said.

"Well, maybe, but there's no way he would hire someone to shoot his own daughter." Dipper said.

"Yeah, but he might get someone to shoot you." Pacifica said.

"Come on, do you really think that lowly of your father?" Dipper asked.

"Just look at my family history. Killing off a 'low-class' person who was a 'distraction' would probably mean nothing to him." Pacifica said.

"What are you saying? Remember the funeral? Didn't we make peace there?" Dipper said.

"Something never felt right. In the back of my mind, something, somewhere, always told me that he was up to no good." Pacifica said.

"Well, you can believe that. But as soon as you have recovered, I'm going to go to Northwest Manor and look for evidence to prove his innocence." Dipper said.

"Good luck with that." Pacifica replied.

A policeman entered the room.

"Can you please explain what is going on?" Dipper asked.

"Well, I can only say so much, but you were the victims. So, what I can tell you is that we received a letter written by Xavier Ryan from an anonymous that linked his services to Mr. Northwest." the policeman said.

"I don't believe it." Dipper said.

"You can testify at the court. The trial is going to be in three weeks." the officer said.

"Who is pressing charges?" Dipper asked.

"The anonymous person who submitted the letter. They are being represented by someone else. The letter mentions that the person could be in danger if their identity was revealed." the officer said.

"Thank you for the information." Dipper said.

The policeman nodded and left the room.

"I don't believe this. I am going to prove your father innocent." Dipper said to Pacifica.

Pacifica just sighed.
