This story follows the Anime and is set shortly after The Kishin "Asura" was killed, and most things have gone back to normal now.
Sorry to any Marie lovers, but she won't be in this story, because I don't like her very much.

"So weak, Maka," Medusa sighed with a smirk, as she slowly walked up to the young girl, and brought her down to her eye-level, before she stroked Maka's cheek with her arrow shaped tail.
Maka shut her eyes tight, as she gritted her teeth, while trying to deal with the pain, as she heard the snake witch snicker, before the arrow around Maka's waist got even tighter.
Maka could feel her breath growing short, as her heart began to race, 'Someone, anyone please save me. Soul, Papa, Kid,' Maka begged in her mind as she looked up to the slowly setting sun, 'Help me PLEASE!' Maka pleaded, but her pleads, clearly fell on deaf ears. So Maka finally gave in, and let her body go limp, as her head dropped.
"Oh given up, have we?" Medusa asked as she noticed the Meister go frail, "So soon? I thought you were stronger than that. Well I guess not because even though you did defeat the Kishin, you still couldn't get rid of a simple witch like me, could you?" Medusa teased, as her arrow shaped tail stroked Maka's hair, and made the young girl jerk a little.
"How?" Maka spoke up in a raspy whisper.
"Huh? What was that?" Medusa questioned.
"How-how, were you able to come back after my attack?" Maka asked a little louder, as she lifted her head up a little and looked to the snake witch.
"Well that's simple really, I broke my soul up into my snakes and just waited for my magic to regain the strength it needed, in order for me to come back in my own body," Medusa explained.
"Is that what happened the first time you were killed?" Maka asked.
"Yes. Just like I told Stein, in order to really kill me, you need to make sure you kill my snakes too, and that's exactly why both you and Stein failed to get rid of me for good," Medusa replied, before she again tightened the arrow that was around Maka's waist.
"AAAHHH!" Maka screamed as extreme pain shot through her waist, and her breath grew short again, as her heart raced even faster in her chest.
"You're quite troublesome indeed, Maka," Medusa stated, as the arrow kept getting tighter and tighter.
Maka began panting as the arrow was squeezing the life out of her, and she slipped in and out of conscious.
Medusa sighed, "I need to be somewhere right now, and besides you're not worth killing right here and now," The witch stated with a blank look on her face, before she loosened the arrow that was around Maka's waist, and let the young Scythe Meister drop to the ground, as the arrow disappeared a second later.
Medusa turned round and began walking away from Maka, "Goodbye," She simply sighed again.
Maka lifted her head up slowly, as she watched Medusa stop all of a sudden.
"Oh and one more thing…" The witch paused, as she turned slightly to look back at Maka, "Be sure you don't tell that Reaper boyfriend of yours about this alright?" Medusa stated, before she turned away from the young girl, and put her hood up over her head, while she started walking away from Maka again.
"K-K-Kid?" Maka questioned in a raspy whisper as she let her head drop. She was gasping for air, as she began to cough up blood. Maka lay on the ground for another second or so, then slowly made her way onto her feet.
She fell back down, and sighed as she looked to see that Medusa had disappeared, 'I need to get home,' Maka thought as she weakly stood back up again. This time she just stumbled a little, before she began to limp back to her and Soul's apartment, while tightly holding onto her badly wounded waist.
….
Meanwhile back at Medusa's old castle Stein was still in the snake witch's bedroom with the arrow-shaped padlock resting over his chest so he couldn't escape, but now he was sleeping on the bedroom floor. And while he was sleeping he was remembering something. Something from his childhood…
….
"Franken Stein. You are to be sent to prison for your little crimes, and for endangering MANY people's lives," The judge announced as he stated ten year old Stein's sentence in the courtroom.
"It's not my fault. They're the ones that were too weak to even try and protect themselves," The young Meister defended himself.
"You are to spend the next few months locked up in the witch and warlock prison, and then you shall go back to your cell, located below the D.W.M.A," The judge stated, ignoring the child's defence.
Stein was taken to the witch and warlock prison, and put into a cell in the witches' corner.
"Well this is a little unfair don't you think? I mean locking a ten year old boy in a witch a warlock prison it's a bit harsh right?" Stein asked from behind the bars.
"Shut up! This is what you get." A guard stated bluntly, "Oh yeah, and you've got an interesting cell-mate in there too, so have fun," The guard smirked, before he walked away from the child's cell.
Stein sighed, "Huh?" Stein felt surprised as he could sense a strong soul behind him. He quickly turned round, expecting to see a tall and dangerous being behind him.
But turned only to see, a little girl sitting on one of the beds, looking down at her swinging feet.
"Ohh," Stein sighed with relief as he let himself relax.
This girl had long hair, which was a dark shade of blonde, she was wearing a small black-hooded cloak that had a weird looking symbol on the front, of what seemed to be an eye of some kind.
The girl was neither smiling, nor was she frowning, she was just sitting there with more of a blank look on her face. And she either hadn't noticed that someone else was in her cell, or she just didn't care, so wasn't really taking any notice of Stein (I vote for the second one).
The girl's eyes were a dark shade of yellow with small black pupils in the middle, and they reminded Stein of a snake's eyes.
Stein smiled to the young girl, "Hey there my name is Franken Stein. I'm a young Meister of the D.W.M.A. But I'm in training to be a young scientist as well," Stein introduced himself.
The girl didn't respond and just acted like she was all alone in the cell, as she kept her eyes fixed on her swinging feet.
"May I ask you your name?" Stein asked.
"Medusa Gorgon, the snake witch," The girl answered simply, without moving her eyes.
"A witch ay? Well you must be a powerful one, by the soul that you have," Stein stated, hoping that the girl would seem more interested in him, and at least act like he was there beside her.
"So how did a D.W.M.A student get into a place like this?" Medusa asked as she lifted her head up, and looked to Stein.
"Oh umm…. I sometimes get a little too carried away with my work, and in doing so I endangered one or two people's lives," Stein explained nervously, "What about you, how'd you get in here?" Stein asked, as he looked back to Medusa.
"Me? Simple I sent my snakes lose on a small town in Death City, and tried to kill my older sister again," Medusa answered casually.
"Again? How many times have you tried?" Stein asked.
"Lost count," Medusa replied as she stared blankly at Stein.
There was a long awkward silence between the two for a while, as they both just sat there staring at each other blankly.
"What did you say your name was again?" Medusa broke the silence with a question.
"It's Franken Stein," Stein answered, sighing a little out of relief from not being in that awkward silence anymore.
"Stein?" Medusa questioned as she slightly tilted her head to the side.
"Yeah okay I guess you can call me that if you want," Stein replied.
"Stein," Medusa said with a bright smile to Stein.
Stein blushed a bit at the witch's glowing smile, and just smiled back nervously.
…
About two days later, a guard came down to Stein and Medusa's cell.
"Franken Stein!" The guard called to the young boy.
"What is it?" Stein asked as he sat up in his bed, and looked to the guard.
"Get up, you're being transferred," The guard answered.
"Transferred? Wait don't tell me that Lord Death has come to get me," Stein said dreading seeing Lord Death now.
"Yep he's waiting to take you back to the D.W.M.A outside, so get a move on," The guard replied.
"Fine," Stein sighed as he got up out if his bed, and glanced to Medusa, who was just sitting up in her bed, staring at him.
"You're leaving?" Medusa asked seeming a little confused.
"Yeah seems so," Stein replied as he got ready to leave.
The guard unlocked the cell door and opened it, as he let Stein out.
"WAIT!" Medusa called to Stein before he left.
"What?" Stein asked as he stopped in his tracks and turned back to Medusa.
Medusa jumped off her bed, and walked over to Stein. The witch stood on her tip toes (yes she's shorter then Stein) as she pressed her lips to Stein's. Stein's eyes widened with surprise as he felt Medusa kiss him.
Their lips parted as Medusa smiled, while Stein looked to her, with wide eyes, "Promise me we'll meet again sometime," Medusa said, as she looked to Stein with hope filled eyes.
Stein shook off his shock as he came back to his senses, "I will if you will," Stein replied with a smirk.
"I promise," Medusa smiled as tears filled her eyes.
"Then so do I, there's no doubt in my mind that our paths will cross again in the future," Stein stated before he turned and left out the door, while smiling back to Medusa.
"I'll miss you Stein," Medusa said as the cell door shut behind Stein.
"I'll miss you too, Medusa," Stein replied before he was escorted away from the cell, by the guard.
Stein turned back to the cell as he saw Medusa standing behind the bars with her bright, glowing smile on her face, as her hands were tightly holding onto two bars, which were on either side of her.
Stein's eyes widened a little, as he saw tears run down the small witch's cheeks, "Bye, bye Stein!" Medusa called to Stein as she waved to him from behind the bars.
"Goodbye Medusa," stein waved back with a smile, before he walked out of the witch's corner of the witch and warlock prison, while looking back to the snake witch, who still was watching him leave, from behind the bars of her cell.
….
Stein awoke with a start, as he sat bolt upright on the floor, and looked around the room. Stein sighed with a bit relief, "Ironic that I remember that all now," Stein whispered to himself, with a slight chuckle.
"Seems like we both kept our promise," Stein stated as he thought of Medusa's ten year old, bright glowing smile, "It's good to know that her smile didn't change much," Stein thought out loud to himself, before he stood up from the floor, walked over to Medusa's king-sized bed and sat on it, while he sighed again.
….
Meanwhile Kid was walking through Death City, wondering what he should do about Medusa, 'Why does that damn witch always have to cause trouble wherever she goes?' Kid thought to himself with a sigh, "Man this is annoying," Kid whispered to himself, as he ran his fingers through his jet black, and partly pure white hair, while he gave out another sigh.
"I have to get home," Kid heard someone say in a low voice.
"Huh?" Kid looked around in search of the voice. His eyes then set upon on a young girl he knew, who was limping down the street, 'Maka? Why is she limping like that?' Kid questioned to himself, as he began to walk towards the other Meister.
Kid watched Maka as something seemed VERY wrong with her as she suddenly stopped limping, and collapsed to her knees.
"MAKA!" Kid called to the young girl as he came running over to her, "Are you alright?" Kid asked as he kneeled down beside the other Meister, and rested a hand on her shoulder.
"Kid? What are you doing here?" Maka asked as she looked to Kid with a startled look.
"I went for a walk. What happened to you?" Kid asked with a worried look on his face.
"Oh nothing much, it's just that I-AH!-ow," Maka paused as she winced at the sharp pain in her waist, while she tightly held onto her wound.
"Are you hurt?" Kid asked as he looked to where Maka was holding.
"It's nothing really," Maka lied as she slowly backed away from the Reaper.
"Let me see," Kid simply whispered with a kind tone as he stared into Maka's deep green eyes.
Maka didn't respond as she just sat there, and let Kid move closer to her. Maka sighed as she took her arms away from her waist, before Kid slowly lifted up the other Meister's T-shirt.
The young Reaper gasped in shock as he set his eyes upon, Maka's badly bruised waist. The bruise was bright purple, with hits of red and green in it, while the area right from her groin to where her heart was located was a deep shade of red. Kid could clearly see how sore Maka's waist was, and that it would need immediate treatment.
"Maka, how did this happen?" Kid asked as he looked away from the wound, and was surprised, and all the more worried to see that Maka had tears running down her cheeks, as her shoulders began to shake.
Kid wrapped his arms around Maka as he hugged her tightly, "Hey don't cry, I'll get you fixed up alright?" Kid reassured the girl with his kind and gentleman-like smile, before he pulled away from the Meister and softly stroked her hair.
Maka just nodded, before she wiped her eyes and smiled back to Kid. Kid winked to the girl, before he put his arms around her again, but this time instead of just giving her a hug, the young Reaper picked her up from the ground, and held her bridal style in his arms.
"You'll be safe now, I promise," Kid whispered to Maka, before he pecked her on the forehead, and made her blush a deep red, "Okay hold on," Kid said as he closed his eyes, and suddenly his skateboard appeared underneath his feet.
"I forgot you still had this," Maka smiled as she looked to the skateboard, which was underneath Kid's feet.
"Well it's not like I would just get rid of it, now let's get you some help," Kid stated, before his skateboard lifted the two into the air, and began carrying them through Death City.
….
Kid's floating skateboard soon came to a stop, when 'Gallows Manner' was in its sights. Kid closed his eyes again, as he summoned his skateboard back into his soul, as he lightly landed on the ground, and then turned to Maka, "Are you alright?" Kid asked with concern in his voice.
"Yeah I'm fine," Maka lied as she faked a smile to Kid.
"Are you sure? Does it still hurt?" Kid asked, clearly seeing right through the other Meister's façade.
"A little," Maka lied again, as she felt close to tears again.
Kid wasn't fooled by Maka's mask, as he could see the tears filling up in the young girl's eyes again. Kid walked up to the double front doors, and made them swing open with a signal tap on them with his foot.
"I didn't know you could do that," Maka thought out loud with clear surprise in her voice, as she looked up at Kid with wide eyes.
"There's a LOT of things that I can do that you don't know about Maka," Kid replied with a smirk to the young girl, who was still in his arms
Maka just blushed as she slightly turned away from Kid, and gritted her teeth again, as she could feel the pain in her waist getting worse.
"LIZ, PATTY!? Where are you two?" Kid called out to his weapons' as he walked into the mansion.
"KID?!" Liz questioned as she looked up from the T.V, and raced from the lounge to the entrance of the mansion.
"What happened to Maka-chan? Why are you carrying her around like that Kiddo?" Patty asked as she was already by the double front doors of the mansion.
"There's not really much time to explain, just get me a blanket and a pillow please," Kid instructed to his two weapons', before he walked into the lounge (with his weapons following close behind him), and sat down on one of the sofas in it.
"YES SIR!" Patty nodded with a solider-like salute to her Meister, before she raced off to get the blanket and pillow that Kid needed.
"WAIT UP PATTY!" Liz called after her sister, before she ran after her.
"Wow, I wish my weapon could be like yours, any time I ask Soul to get something for me, he hardly ever listens to me," Maka stated with a smile and wide eyes, as she was a little surprised to see how well Kid's weapons' listen to him.
"Well I'd bet he'd act the same way if you came home carrying one of our friends like I am," Kid replied with a returned smile.
"Maybe," Maka sighed as she wrapped her arms around her waist again, as the pain kept getting more intense.
A minute later Patty and Liz came running back into the lounge with a blanket and pillow in their arms, "WE BROUGHT THE EQUIPMENT THAT YOU ASKED FOR SIR!" Patty announced loudly as she held up the pillow from her and Liz's bedroom (they share a room because Patty can't be trusted to have her own room, since she'll probably just end up wreaking it or something).
"Err what's with Pat-
"She likes to watch old war movies, for some reason," Kid answered Maka's question before she even finished it, as it was obvious that he had been asked this question before.
"Okay," Maka seemed puzzled by the younger twin while, Liz took the pillow from her sister, and handed both it and the blanket (also from the twin's bedroom) to Kid.
"So what happened exactly?" Liz asked.
"To be honest your guess is as good as mine right now, I was walking through Death City when I saw her limping. She's got quite the bruise on her so, I picked her up and brought her here," Kid explained as he glanced to Liz.
"Won't Maka-chan tell you what happened?" Patty asked.
"Yeah but I don't think she's going to be able to tell me while she's in this much pain," Kid explained as he looked to Maka, who was sitting on his lap while breathing heavily.
"AH! Kid it hurts…"Maka cried as she tightly gripped onto Kid's shoulder, while she bit her lip.
"Shh…I know," Kid whispered to Maka in a calming voice as he gently stroked her hair, before he lay the pillow on the arm of the sofa.
"So where's this bruise?" Liz asked.
"Here," Kid stated as he lifted Maka's T-shirt up, to reveal the terrible bruise that the young Meister had somehow gotten all the way around her waist.
"MY DEATH!" Patty jumped, while Liz just gasped, as the sisters couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"How the hell did she get that?" Liz asked as she covered her mouth with both hands.
"I wish I knew," Kid replied before he noticed that Maka was sweating, and she was turning very pale.
"Will Maka-chan be okay?" Patty asked with a worried look.
"I'm not sure," Kid sighed as he just rubbed Maka's head, before tears started to run down her cheeks.
"Kid…I…I-I can't…breathe," Maka just about managed, before she began to cough up blood.
"Shit! You two quickly go call my father," Kid instructed to his weapons'.
"But Kid only Meisters can do that-
"I know, there's a mirror that must only be used in emergencies, anyone can use it. It's in my room on my bedside table, now HURRY!" Kid explained while cutting Liz off.
"Right!" Patty nodded, before she ran to the stairs, up all of them, and to Kid's bedroom, closely followed by her older sister.
"Okay Maka I need you to just try and sit next to me rather then-
"NO I CAN'T! It hurts to move, just let me stay on your lap," Maka cried as she shook her head, but also blushed a little.
"Okay, are you sure?" Kid asked.
Maka just nodded, before she winced at the pain coming from her waist.
"Alright then. Now here's the awkward part," Kid sighed slightly as he looked to Maka.
Maka just looked back to Kid, with a slight confused look, while she was still wincing at the pain.
"Listen I need to heal that bruise of yours, but in order to do that properly there needs to nothing in the way of the bruise. So that means that…that I'm going to have to remove your T-shirt and skirt," Kid explained, while a slight blush stained his cheeks.
"D-do you really need to do that Kid?" Maka asked with a surprised look to the Reaper.
Kid just nodded with his eyes cast down for a minute.
"Okay you can… 'Undress' me," Maka sighed as she blushed a deep red.
"Thank you, don't worry I'll be gentle," Kid reassured with a slight smile to Maka, as he looked back to her.
Maka just nodded as she turned her head to the side, and looked away from the Reaper.
"Can you kick off your shoes please?" Kid asked.
"Sure," Maka replied, before she kicked her shoes off and then looked back to Kid.
Kid moved his hands to Maka's waist, was careful to not touch her bruise, and grabbed the brim of Maka's skirt with two fingers on each hand.
Maka jumped a little as she felt Kid's warm hands touch her ice cold skin. Kid slowly started to pull Maka's skirt down. Maka was blushing a deep red, while Kid just had a serious and determined look on his face, as he slipped Maka's skirt over her feet, and dropped it on the floor.
Kid then moved his hands to Maka's T-shirt and started to take it off, but then paused as he looked to Maka, "You're wearing a bra right?" Kid asked with a blush.
Maka just nodded to Kid, before she noticed just how fast her heart was racing, 'My heats pounding so hard that I can hardly feel the pain anymore,' Maka thought while she was beat red in the face.
Kid slowly carried on taking Maka's T-shirt off, as he lifted it over her head, and threw it to the floor a minute later, "Okay just as a heads up, this may hurt," Kid stated as he rested his hands on either side of Maka's wounded waist.
Maka just nodded again, before she wrapped both arms around Kid's neck, and clenched her teeth, as she waited for the pain to come. Kid's hands suddenly lit up and glowed golden, as he began to heal the young Scythe Meister.
….
Meanwhile up in Kid's bedroom Liz and Patty were busy talking to Lord Death through the mirror that Kid told the two about.
"Really is it that bad?" Lord Death asked after hearing what had happened to Maka from the two sisters.
Before the girls could answer, the three all heard an ear bleeding scream come from downstairs, that no doubt was Maka's.
"Does that answer your question?" Liz asked while Patty just stood with her hands covering her ears.
"I see Kiddo probably sent you both up here so he could heal Maka. I understand looks like Maka will have to miss more missions now, that's a shame," Lord Death thought out loud to himself.
"Umm also Lord Death could you maybe keep this a secret from Maka's Dad, and the rest of the gang please?" Liz asked.
"Yes of course I understand that Maka doesn't need everyone fussing over, and worrying about her right now," Lord Death agreed.
"Thank you so much Lord Death," Liz sighed with relief.
"No problem. Now if that's all, I'll be off now bye!" Lord Death replied before his image disappeared from the mirror.
Liz placed the mirror back onto Kid's beside table, and then turned to her sister, "Well let's go see how those two are getting on down there," Liz stated.
Patty just nodded, before she went running around the room, and then ran off to the third floor (yes she's going the wrong way), "PATTY WAIT UP, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Liz called to her sister as she ran after her.
….
Meanwhile back down stairs in the lounge, Maka was calm now as Kid was softly rubbing her back, after he had just finished healing the young girl, while she was slowly falling asleep on the Reaper's lap.
Kid pecked Maka on the forehead as he started to sing her to sleep, "Come stop you're crying, it'll be alright. Just take my hand…" Kid paused as he held Maka's hand and squeezed it, "Hold it tight. I will protect from all around you." Kid sang softly as he slightly rocked Maka back and forth like an infant, while the young girl gazed up at the Reaper as tears still slowly ran down her cheeks, "I will be here, don't you cry," Kid finished his sweet lullaby as he smiled to Maka, while the young Scythe Meister could feel her eyelids getting heavy.
'I didn't know he could sing. He really is full of surprises,' Maka thought as she rested her head against Kid's chest and sighed slightly.
"I'll keep you safe Maka," Kid whispered to Maka before she slowly drifted off to sleep in the Reapers arms. Kid smiled at Maka's sleeping face, before he picked the blanket up from the floor and wrapped it around Maka's shoulders, and began to rock her like an infant again.
A minute later Liz and Patty came running down the stairs, "Hey Kiddo we told your Dad about what happened to Maka-chan," Patty stated as she run up to the two Meisters, closely followed by her sister.
"That's good, thank you girls," Kid replied with a smile to Patty.
"WOW Kid why is Maka only in her underwear?" Liz asked, surprised to see the young Scythe Meister in nothing but her underwear, with the blanket wrapped around her shoulders, while she slept peacefully in the Reaper's arms.
"Yeah and why is she sleeping on your lap?" Patty asked with her head tilted to one side.
"Well she was tried after I was done healing her, I was going to lay her down on the sofa, but she fell asleep on me before I got the chance to. And as for your question Liz. You see I needed to heal Maka, and in order to have done that properly nothing had to be in the way of her wound, so I had to take off her T-shirt and shirt," Kid explained to the sisters.
"How's her bruise?" Liz asked.
"It should be getting better soon," Kid replied with a smile, before he stood up with Maka still asleep in his arms, "I'll take her up to my bed, it'll be better for her to sleep there," Kid stated as he smiled down at the sleeping angel in his arms, while he dropped the blanket onto the sofa.
"Okay, we're going to start on dinner. Do you want us to make you and Maka something?" Liz asked.
"No, I'll make something when she wakes up," Kid replied before he headed for the stairs.
"Okay, come on Patty," Liz called to her sister as she headed to the kitchen in the room next door to the lounge.
"GOOD NIGHT MAKA-CHAN, SWEET DREAMS!" Patty called to Kid and Maka, before she ran after her sister.
"Shh, you'll wake her up," Liz scolded her younger sister in a hushed tone.
Kid smiled to his two weapons, before he slowly carried Maka up the stairs, and into his bedroom, which was at the top of the stairs (luckily Liz and Patty had left the door open).
Kid walked over to his king-sized bed and gently lay Maka down on it. He rested her head on the pillows and covered her with the bed-covers. Kid sighed as he smiled at Maka, 'She sure is light' Kid thought as he kneeled down beside the bed, and gently stroked Maka's hair.
"Good night Maka, sweet dreams," Kid whispered to the sleeping Scythe Meister as he pecked her on the forehead, before he sat back on his heels and placed his folded arms beside Maka on the bed. He smiled again as he rested his chin on his folded arms and sighed happily, while he gazed to the young girl, who was sound asleep in his bed. And within a few minutes the young Reaper had also fallen asleep.
