This story follows the Anime and is set shortly after The Kishin "Asura" was killed, and most things have gone back to normal now.

Sorry to any Marie lovers, but she won't be in this story, because I don't like her very much.

Maka and Kid made their way down the stairs of Gallows manner as the young Reaper helped the young Scythe Meister walk down the stairs (Maka is still in nothing but her underwear from yesterday, but also has a blanket wrapped around her shoulders now), as he had an arm around her shoulders, and was slowly guiding her down the staircase.

Liz and Patty were watching some old detective show on the T.V in the lounge, while sitting on one of the sofas, as they heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Liz turned to the sound of the footsteps and smiled, when she saw the two Meisters coming into the lounge.

"Well looks who awake," Liz commented with a smirk to the two.

"How long was I asleep for?" Maka asked as she looked to the sisters.

"Not long only since you fell asleep on Kid last night, and it's about lunch time now," Liz explained.

"Wow, I haven't slept for that long in quite a while," Maka stated with surprise in her voice.

"Well you did need it after what had happened to you last night," Kid spoke up with a smile to Maka, as he helped her walk over to the sofa that the sisters were sitting on.

"You two were up there for a long time," Patty stated, while not taking her eyes off of the T.V.

"What do you mean?" Maka asked as she sat down next to Liz on the sofa, while Kid sat next to the Scythe Meister and picked up her clothes from the floor where they had been left last night,

"Well you were up there all alone together for hours," Patty stated, while still clued to the T.V.

"We were sleeping, that's all," Maka replied, not really sure what Patty was getting at here.

"Was sleeping all that you two were doing Maka-chan?" Patty asked with a smirk, as she slightly glanced to Maka (Patty's sitting on the other side of Liz on the sofa if you're wondering).

"Yeah, you two are still virgins right?" Liz added with a smirk to the two Meisters.

"WHAT?!"Maka gasped in shock as she blushed a deep red, and looked to Kid.

"OF COURSE WE ARE!" Kid stated loudly as he too started to blush.

"Just kidding, you two are so easy," Liz winked to the two, while Patty hive-fived her and soon went back to watching the T.V.

Kid sighed as he glared at his weapons, "So what did happen to you last night Maka?" Kid asked as he turned back to the Scythe Meister.

"Oh….Umm, nothing really," Maka lied as she looked away from Kid nervously.

"It can't be nothing with that bruise that you have around your waist," Liz stated.

"Yeah Maka-chan, Kiddo still has to help you walk, even though he healed you just last night," Patty added, back to not taking her eyes of the T.V again.

"I guess I just sort of fell or something, I don't really remember that much," Maka explained as she smiled nervously to the sisters and Kid.

None of the three were falling for Maka's lies, as they all looked to her with serious eyes, waiting for her real answer to what happened to her last night, 'I can't tell them what really happened, who knows what Medusa would do to Kid if I let him know about her attacking me,' Maka thought as she tried to avoid eye-contact from the three, "I need to get back home, Soul will be freaking out wondering where I am," Maka made up an excuse in a quite tone.

"You're right," Kid smiled as he passed Maka her clothes from yesterday, and helped her to get dressed.

"Thank you Kid," Maka smiled to Kid when she was all dressed, and ready to go back home.

"You're welcome Maka," Kid smiled his gentleman-like smile in return to Maka.

Kid helped Maka walk out of the lounge, and then turned back for a minute, "I'm going to walk her home, stay out of trouble girls!" Kid instructed to his weapons'.

"YOU GOT IT!" Patty shouted back to her Meister.

"Later!" Liz waved to the two, before the sisters went back to watching the T.V again.

"You sure it's okay to just leave them here alone?" Maka asked Kid, as the two Meisters walked to the entrance of the mansion.

"Of course Liz should be fine with watching over Patty for a bit, and besides we'll only be gone for a few minutes right?" Kid explained as he smiled to Maka, while he guided her to the front double doors of the mansion.

"Yeah," Maka nodded before Kid opened one of the doors, the two Meisters walked out of it, and began to walk towards Maka and Soul's apartment after Kid had shut the door behind them.

When the two were half-way to the apartment, Kid started to feel like they were being watched, but at the same time he couldn't sense any souls but his and Maka's.

But then he could sense it, "Wait…Someone's here," Kid stated as he stopped and looked around, but couldn't see anyone.

"Kid I don't sense anything, no one's here but us," Maka reassured Kid as she stopped and looked to him with a smile.

"My soul perception is more sensitive than yours, so although you might not sense something, I most certainly can," Kid explained.

Suddenly Maka jumped as she turned to see a shadow of someone round the corner from them, "K-K-Kid…" Maka paused as she began to shake slightly.

"What is it?" Kid asked as he looked back to Maka.

"She's here," Maka whispered as she pointed to the shadow that connected to and person in a long black cloak.

"Medusa," Kid said as he looked to the person in the black cloak.

Medusa took off her hood and revealed herself to the two Meisters

"Your soul protect got better I see," Kid stated, while the witch just simply walked up to the two young teens.

"What do you want with us?" Maka asked as she looked to the witch.

Medusa didn't respond. She just walked up to Kid and rested a hand on his forehead.

"DON'T YOU DARE HURT HIM!" Maka warned as she pushed Kid away from the witch

"Maka, don't push yourself too much, I can deal with her myself," Kid stated as he stared at the witch.

"Vector Shock!" Medusa simply said in a low tone.

Suddenly Kid felt something hurt in his chest as his heart began to race, and his breathing became short. Maka looked to Kid and could see something was VERY wrong with him, "Kid? What's wrong?" Maka asked as she looked to the Reaper with a concerned look.

Kid wasn't able to respond as his eyes rolled to the back of his head, and he collapsed to the ground as his whole body went limb.

"KID?!" Maka cried as she kneeled down beside Kid's body and looked to him with concern on her face, "What do you do to him?" Maka asked in almost a whisper, as she turned to Medusa.

Medusa didn't respond as she just glanced to Maka before turning and began to walk in the direction leading to the D.W.M.A.

Maka turned back to Kid, and quickly picked up his head and rested it on her lap, before she felt the Reaper's forehead, 'He's freezing' Maka thought while she watched Kid's chest rising and falling, as she could she how spaced out, and heavy his breathing was. She quickly got her mobile out of her pocket and dialled Liz's number, before she put the phone to her ear and waited for the weapon to answer.

"Hey Maka what's up? Is Soul pestering you already?" Maka heard Liz ask.

"No, I'm not even home yet," Maka answered.

"Why not? You're not that slow are you?" Liz asked with a slight chuckle.

"Listen Liz I need you to come to where I am okay?" Maka explained with clear worry in her voice.

"Why?" Liz asked with a little concern in her voice, as she could hear how worried Maka sounded.

"I haven't got the time to explain, JUST COME!" Maka cried as she could feel tears filling up her eyes, while she watched Kid slowly turning from slightly pale to snow white.

"Okay, okay, where are you?" Liz asked.

"Not too far away from Gallows manner," Maka replied.

"Okay. PATTY WE NEED TO GO MEET MAKA!" Maka heard Liz call to her younger sister.

"YES MA'AM!" Maka heard Patty call back to her older sister.

"We'll be there soon," Liz stated.

"Thank you Liz, see you in a minute," Maka sighed a little out of relief.

"No problem, bye," Liz replied, before the weapon hang up on the Scythe Meister, and Maka put her phone back into her pocket, while she waited for Kid's weapons to come.

….

Meanwhile Medusa walked into the Death room with a smile on her face, as she looked to Lord Death and Death Scythe, "Well, well, well, isn't this a lovely reunion?" Medusa stated, catching the two's attention as they both turned to her and gasped in surprise.

"MEDUSA?!" The two said in unison as they both looked gobsmacked.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? My Maka killed you," Spirit asked.

"Ah yes your daughter has been quite troublesome for me Death Scythe, but then again if it weren't for her I wouldn't have been able to get to the Reaper's precious son," Medusa stated with a slight chuckle in her voice.

"What have you done with my son?" Lord Death asked in a serious tone, as he seemed over his shock now, while Spirit still seemed a bit lost.

"It's good to see you again as well Reaper," Medusa ignored the Reaper's question.

"How are you still alive?" Lord Death asked.

"Well it seems like not even that so-called skilled Meister Maka, wasn't smart enough to remember that in order to get rid of me for good, you have to get rid of my snakes too. I seriously thought you all had learnt that when I came back the first time, but it seems not," Medusa explained.

"Hmm…Not only that but Soul isn't a Death Scythe yet so that means that Maka didn't take your soul either," Lord Death thought out loud.

"It seems as though your daughter isn't quite as smart when it comes to a snake witch like myself," Medusa stated as she smiled and looked to Spirit.

"ARE YOU CALLING MY MAKA DUMB?!" Spirit asked in a loud tone, before he made blades come out from his arms and was ready to attack the witch. But was stopped by Lord Death's giant gloved hand.

"Hold it Death Scythe!" The Reaper said, while Spirit looked to him confused for a minute.

"What?" Spirit asked.

"If we attack her she probably won't tell us what happened to my son, or why she's here," Lord Death explained as he glanced to Spirit.

"The Reaper's not wrong, Death Scythe," Medusa stated with an evil smirk.

"Fine," Spirit sighed as he gave up and made the blades disappear, as he let his guard down.

"Now, what do you want Medusa?" Lord Death asked as he turned back to the snake witch.

"I want to leave here," Medusa simply answered, now with a blank look on her face.

"That's all?" Lord Death asked, seeming confused.

"Yes that's all, but I would like two people come along with me," Medusa explained.

"And who would those two people be exactly?" Lord Death asked, as he raised an eye-brow to Medusa.

"My son Crona, and Professor Franken Stein," Medusa replied.

….

"MAKA!" Liz called to the Scythe Meister as she and her younger sister came running over to the young girl.

"LIZ, PATTY, Thank Death you're here," Maka sighed out of relief, as she looked to the two sisters, as they came and kneeled down beside her.

"What happened to Kiddo?" Patty asked as she and Liz looked to their unconscious Meister, who was still laying with his head resting on Maka's lap.

"He was attacked by Medusa," Maka answered as she too looked to Kid.

"MEDUSA?! SHE'S ALIVE?!" Liz asked in surprise.

"Yes, Kid was right about her being that strange person that's been causing trouble around Death city," Maka explained.

"Wow I guess we all should of believed Kiddo after all," Patty stated, while Liz just nodded with a slight sigh.

"Wait was Medusa the one who attacked you too Maka?" Liz asked.

"Yeah was she the one that gave you that bruise?" Patty added.

"Yes," Maka confessed with another sigh.

"Why didn't you tell us about her then?" Liz asked.

"Because she threated to hurt Kid if I did," Maka answered as she stroked Kid's cold cheek and let a tear run down her face.

"Well it seems like she has now anyway," Liz stated before she sighed and looked to her Meister again. Liz lifted Kid up onto her back and held him by his legs tightly.

"WOW, isn't he heavy?" Maka asked surprised that Liz could carry the Reaper so easily like that.

"No not really, he may be toned in the chest area, but he hardly weighs anything more than you, I imagine," Liz explained with a slight smile to Maka.

"Oh r-really?" Maka strutted a bit as she blushed at what Liz said about Kid's chest area.

"Yep, Kiddo's as light as a feather," Patty stated happily as she stood up and smiled to Maka too.

"I wouldn't go that far," Liz said as the two sisters waited for Maka to stand up.

Maka soon did stand up too and stumbled somewhat, but was then caught by Patty, who was now holding onto the Scythe Meister's shoulders.

"Thanks Patty, but I think Kid's healing is starting to kick in now," Maka stated as she could now walk without help, but still limped somewhat.

"Okay," Patty smiled with a nod to Maka.

"Come on you two, we've got to get this Reaper to the infirmary," Liz stated as she started to walk in the direction of the D.W.M.A.

"COMING!" Patty called back to her older sister as her and Maka followed Liz.

….

Soon the four were at the infirmary and Nygus was checking Kid over, as he lay in one of the beds.

"Do you know what's wrong with him?" Maka asked with worry in her voice.

"It seems like his soul was given a little shock, but it seems to have settled down now," Nygus explained as she looked to the three worried girls.

"Oh that's good," Maka smiled with a sigh of relief, as Liz and Patty sighed too.

"So you're saying he was attacked by Medusa right?" Nygus asked.

"Yes that's right I'm not too sure how, but I think she cast some sort of spell on him," Maka answered as she thought back to when Medusa rested her hand on Kid's forehead, and then said those two words of her spell before Kid collapsed (the three have already told Nygus about Medusa being alive, and about Medusa being the strange person that's been causing trouble around Death City lately).

"Hmm…Well he is a Reaper after all, so he should recover a little shock like this," Nygus reassured the three girls with a smile (that couldn't be seen from under her bandages that are covering her mouth but oh well).

"That's good then," Liz stated with a smile to Maka and her sister, while they both smiled back to her in return.

Maka then gasped as she sensed something VERY wrong Kid. She quickly turned round to look at the Reaper just before he began fitting and coughing up gallons of blood.

Nygus quickly jumped into action as she began trying to restrain Kid from fitting, while blood was pouring from his mouth.

"Kiddo," Patty said in almost a whisper as worry was in her voice, while her sister covered her mouth and tears began to fill her eyes.

Maka's eyes widened as she watched in horror as there seemed to be something VERY wrong with the young Reaper's soul, 'Kid's soul is rejecting his body' Maka thought, before she and the other two were taken and left outside the infirmary while Nygus tried to treat Kid.

'How was Medusa able to do that?' Maka questioned before she noticed that tears were running down here face, and her whole body was shaking. She dropped to her keens on the floor as she began to sob slightly, 'Kid,' she thought as her heart began to ache terribly
