This story follows the Anime and is set shortly after The Kishin "Asura" was killed, and most things have gone back to normal now.

That night Maka stayed overnight, and fell asleep at Kid's beside, as she wanted to see him wake up, while Liz and Patty were sleeping in one of the other beds next to Kid's in the infirmary.

In the morning Maka awoke to the sound of Nygus typing on her laptop and the slight 'Beep' coming from the life support machine that was keeping the young Reaper alive. Maka yawned as she rubbed her tired eyes and looked to Kid, who was still sleeping soundly in his bed. Maka then glanced over to the next bed and smiled when she saw that Liz and Patty were still sleeping on it.

She then turned back to Kid and leaned into him more for a minute. She softly pecked the Reaper on his forehead, "Wake up soon Kid," The young Scythe Meister whispered to the sleeping Reaper, before she just watched him sleep soundly, while slightly smiling to him.

Meanwhile Spirit walked down the underground halls of the D.W.M.A and stopped at Medusa's cell door. He sighed before he knocked on the wooden door.

"Yes? What is it?" The Death Scythe heard the snake witch call to him from inside her small cell.

Spirit didn't answer, instead he just opened the cell door and looked to the witch who was sitting on the single bed that used to be her son's, staring back up at the Scythe with a blank look on her face.

"Lord Death said you're free to leave with your son and Stein," Spirit stated in a slightly annoyed voice.

Medusa just nodded with a slight smile to the Death Scythe, before she stood up from the bed, and was ready to leave.

Spirit reluctantly led Medusa out of her cell, and shut the door behind her, "I still don't believe that Stein actually wants to go with you," Spirit stated as he glared slightly at the snake witch.

"Well what is there that's left here for him to stick around for? Besides if he didn't want to come with me, then he would have fought to get back here, but he hasn't," Medusa explained.

"Well I bet he can't do that because you're holding him hostage," Spirit stated.

"Really? Then how come he made love to me just before I left there and came here?" Medusa asked with a slight smirk to Spirit.

Spirits eyes widened when he heard Medusa's reply. He was speechless and just stood in the hallway, while the snake witch walked off leaving him behind.

Maka looked to Kid as she watched his chest slowly rise and fall as she was thankful that the Reaper was still able to breathe by himself, and without the help of any machines.

Liz was now awake and was sitting next to her sleeping sister on the bed beside Kid's, as she smiled to Maka, "So I'm guessing something happened between you two?" Liz asked as she smirked slightly to the Scythe Meister.

"Nothing happened…..We just kissed," Maka confessed after a short pause.

"NO WAY! Do you like him?" Liz gasped with a smile on her lips.

"Well yeah, of course I wouldn't be here waiting for him to wake up otherwise," Maka stated.

"Did you tell him how you feel?" Liz asked.

"Yeah, and it turns out that he feels the same way about me," Maka replied with a smile.

"So are you two dating now or what?" Liz asked.

"I don't know, we didn't really ask each other out we just kissed, and told each other how we felt, and now Kid's in a coma," Maka explained with a slightly nervous smile.

"Wow he's a keeper Maka," Liz commented with a slight smirk.

Maka just chuckled back slightly to Liz, before she looked back to Kid and started to stroke his hair gently.

"He's strong, he'll wake up soon," Liz stated with a smile to Maka.

"I really hope that he does," Maka sighed, as she smiled to the sleeping Reaper.

'Metoo,' Liz thought as she smiled to her sleeping Meister.

"Have you told your Dad about Medusa attacking you yet?" Liz asked changing the subject.

"Yeah, and I told Soul," Maka answered with a nod.

"How'd they take it?" Liz asked.

"Not very well," Maka replied with another slight chuckle. Suddenly Maka stood up with a start.

"What's wrong?" Liz asked surprised by Maka's sudden movement.

"Wake up Patty," Maka said as she looked to Kid with a shocked look.

"Why?" Liz asked in a confused tone.

Maka didn't answer at first, as she just rested a hand on Kid's chest, and smiled to the Reaper, "He's waking up," Maka stated with tears of joy welling up in her eyes.

Liz didn't answer as she was a little speechless at first, but then turned and woke up her younger sister.

Maka's eyes than widened as the Reaper rested his hand on top of the Scythe Meister's and slowly opened his eyes, as he smiled to Maka.

"Hey sleepy-head" Maka smiled as tears ran down her cheeks.

"Hey," Kid smiled back as he reached his other arm up, and stroked Maka's cheek.

"I'm so glad you finally woke up, Kid," Maka stated before she leaned down, and kissed Kid on his forehead.

"Metoo," Kid replied as he wiped away Maka's tears and winked to her slightly.
