Oh My God! I just finished reading all the amazing comments. I was so happy to see so many people telling me I was a good writer and saying I should keep writing it. So I decided I'll keep writing it but it'll take me a while to update.
laren- Aw! Thanks so much. Hope you like this chapter
greygirl2358- Really? I wasn't so sure about that whole Maia, Jordan, and Clary scene but I guess it was okay.
We pull up to a house not quite as big as mine but still fairly large. Jace looks over at me with a smirk probably expecting me to be in awe but instead I just shrug my shoulders. He is obviously shocked by my response. He pulls up into the driveway and quickly gets out and comes to open my door. I roll my eyes at him and get out.
"You know most people drool over my house." Jace tells me.
"I've seen better." I say whilst I walk in front of him taking the lead. I hear Jace chuckle behind me and then shuts the car door. I stop when I get to the door waiting for him to put his keys in. He walks a little too close to me than necessary to put the key in. We walk in and I follow him up to his room.
C&J
"Jace! Stop it!" I yell at him for the thousandth time.
"What! I've done nothing." he said with his hands up. God please help me.
"What were the rules? No making suggestive comments, no being arrogant, no closing the door, no moving to close, no..." I try to finish but instead get cut off.
"Okay! Okay! I get it. You have a long and unnecessary list of no nos I have to follow. Your point though red is..." he says waiting for me to answer.
"Well you've done almost everything on that list! You do it one more time and I leave. And tell Mr. Rodgers that I simply cannot work with you, so he either assigns me someone else or I fail."
"So you'd rather fail than spend time with. That hurts red. That hurts right here." Jace joked while pointing to his heart in fake hurt
I roll my eyes at him yet again wondering what on earth I did to deserve this. The worst thing I ever did was dye my brothers' hair black and green while they were asleep when I was 13. Not that bad. Especially if you think about all the things those two ever did to me. But apparently it was bad enough to get me stuck with Jace Lightwood. I finally get him to focus but of course that doesn't last long. Partly because of his short attention span, but mostly because of all the yelling that's going on downstairs.
The yelling finally got to him so Jace sighed and then went downstairs also yelling. Of course I didn't want to stay in his room considering he probably had had tons of girls on this very bed. This thought had never accord to me before when I had first sat down. Now though, I wish it had. I quickly get off and try to follow the sound of the yelling. Finally, I find the living room and kitchen only to see a young boy who looks about ten fighting with Jace and some black haired girl.
"MAX GIVE ME BACK MY FU..." The girl starts but is interrupted.
"ISABLLE LANGUAGE!" Jace yells.
Suddenly the girl, Isabelle, manages to break free of Jace's hold and lunges at the poor boy. I decided to take a seat on the couch wanting to enjoy the show. If only had popcorn. The little boy notices that she got free and what he almost says makes me burst out laughing.
"Oh shi..."
"MAX YOU TOO! LANGUAGE GOD!" Jace repeats himself.
Then someone comes and sits next to me. I turn the see the boy who gave me directions.
"Alec right?" I ask unsure whilst holding out my hand to him.
"Yeah Clary right." he asks then shakes my hand and I nod.
"This happens way to often." Alec tells me and shakes his head. I laugh again and continue watching the three of them.
C&J
Fifteen minutes later they're still fighting and Alec comes back into the living room carrying a bowl of popcorn. I take some finding all of this very comical.
"How long does this usually go on?" I ask curiously, not taking my eyes off the scene in front of us.
"Hours." Alec sighed looking down. I patted him on the shoulder feeling sorry for him. He had to deal with this everyday of his life.
Thankfully, after another ten minutes its over.
Me and Jace finally get back to work but this time we work on the couch. Again we are a little to close for my liking.
Out of nowhere I hear "Jace who is the new tramp of the week? WAIT! Is that that new girl Clary? One girl, Jace. That's all I'm asking for. One girl that you haven't slept with." It obviously came from the black haired girl that I had seen earlier. I however wasn't sure what I was more offended about. The fact that she called me a tramp or the fact that I would stoop as low to be Jace's tramp. The fact that she said tramp of the week confirmed what I thought about Jace. He was the type that didn't care much about feelings. Didn't go on actual dates either. All he really cared about was food, sex, and how good he looked.
"Woah, woah woah! I would never go there." I said with pure disgust as I pointed at him. As soon as I said this her face lite up. The next thing I know she is standing right in front of me with this big smile on her face.
"I'm Isabelle. We talked for a little at school." she reminded me as I shook her hand. "Finally a girl with some sense in her. I like you. We should hang out sometime. OH! We should go shopping together sometime."
I stand shocked. All I could think was that this girl was crazy. She talked so fast I could barely understand her. And where did she even come from?
"Umm... I don't know. I may look like it, but I'm not really one who goes shopping for fun." I told her. She gave me these big puppy dog eyes and I just couldn't take it. I am a sucker for puppy dog eyes after all. I sigh and say, "My aunt did say I need to go shopping for new clothes. So... would you want to go to the mall this weekend?" I asked.
She squealed and I was surprised I didn't go deaf. Suddenly I was being dragged away by a very excited Isabelle. I looked over at Jace with a face that told him to help me. He laughed and just sat there. When I turned around Isabelle started rambling about how much fun we're going this weekend. I looked over at a clock and noticed that I was suppose to have left half an hour ago.
To make things worse I suddenly heard the front door open and then close. Then I heard, "Mom! Dad! You're home!"
Oh dear lord PLEASE help me!
Okay so I'm super sorry for the late update. I should be posting at least one more chapter this week. I had to split this chapter into two parts because it was getting so long. The next one should be about Clary meeting Jace's parents and dinner. Also I have a couple of challenges for you guys.
