Sometimes, he loves being the devious sort. It's a wonderful feeling when something you've been planning for a while finally falls into place, little nudges in certain places coming together in just the right way to make everything happen just as scripted. Of course, Rikki and Will were a bit of a surprise, but definitely not an unwelcome one. They actually made things a lot easier. Now he had more options, more flexibility.

The group isn't small, three merpeople and two human, one of whom has a bit of experience with this sort of stuff, but they're all so inexperienced. He's going to wait for them to gather themselves and figure out how it all works before he reveals himself.

Sorry about the wait for the last chapter! I've had a lot on my plate with classes and college apps and stuff, not to mention exams, but with season 2 of Mako released today, I figured now would be a good time to get back into the swing of things. I may or may not decide to have season two's new characters in this; I've got a solid grasp on the plot all the way to the end, but who knows? (Also I've seen like seven episodes and I'm not totally confident on my characterization of Ondina, Mimmi, and Eric yet, sooo...)

Thanks for being so patient, guys!
