Chapter 2: Arriving at Viridian City

I don't own anyone but Terra

As Gary and Terra finally arrived at the boarder of Viridian City and Route 1, they had both caught ninorans (both the male and female versions). They walked up to main entrance of the Pokémon Center and were greeted by a friendly hello.

Nurse Joy began to turn around when suddenly she recognized Terra. "Terra! How are you dear? I heard from your father that you were beginning your journey yesterday. So which one did you choose?" She then realized that Gary was with her. "Oh! Terra, who is your friend?"

"Well, Nurse Joy, this is Gary Oak. He also needs his Pokémon to be healed. We ran into a bunch of Pokémon on Route 1. Also you'll have to care for my Pokémon to find out which one I chose." She chuckled to Nurse Joy as Terra handed her Pokéballs as Gary did the same thing.

"Gary, do you want to go to the Center's cafeteria? They have some good food."

"Sure why not?" Once he said that as she led the way since he had never been there. This cafeteria was done in a buffet style of serving food. Gary paid for the food. Once they were in Terra headed towards the Italian foods while Gary was more into the sea foods section. After ten minutes the two of them sat in a private booth.

"So Terra…do you wanna stop at your house…in case you forgot anything?" Gary asked her.

"Sure we can stop at my house. You can meet my pet Pokémon. Maybe Daddy will be home…" She was about to say more when suddenly the wall was smashed up against her. Ash apparently just decided to plop right next to her.

"Hey Terra…Gary. As you guys can see I'm here too! So what Pokémon have you guys caught? I've caught a Pikachu (that does not stay in it ball), pidgeotto, and a caterpie. I've been to the gym and the gym leader is not in. Apparently, he is away on business and will not be back for months. So the gym is closed until further notice. Man…I was looking forward to battling the gym." Then he began stuffing himself with food as Terra just message her forehead out of frustration and anger. Her father had promise to put the gym before all else while she was away. At least her pet Pokémon were under the care of the servants so she knew that they would not be starving when they visited them later.

"Well Gary and I have each caught Rattata, Pidgey, Spearow, Ninorans (both the male and female versions), Pikachus, and Caterpies. However, Gary sent most of them back to Professor Oak. Gary kept his Rattata and male Ninoran while I sent all of mine back. Well, Gary and I are going to visit my house and pick up some supplies." Terra stated as she grabbed my bag off the floor. They began to head to the door…suddenly…

"Oh right! I forgot that you're from Viridian City. Can I come with you guys and check it out?" Terra quickly checked at Gary to try and read him. To her he was mentally saying 'why not'. "Sure Ash… you can come." Nurse Joy then came onto the loudspeaker system that Gary and Terra could pick up their Pokémon. The three kids each left a third of the tip on the table.

Walking back to the head station, Nurse Joy spotted the three kids and got Gary and Terra's pokéballs ready. Ash asked Nurse Joy if his Pokémon were ready as well but the Nurse told him 'no' and that they would have to spend the night here. He told her that they were just going to see Terra's house. Nurse Joy had no problem with that but Ash had to be back before curfew (10pm) to spend the night in the center.
