Chapter 05: Mt. Moon (Part 1)
I don't own anyone but Terra
After collecting their Pokémon from Nurse Joy, Gary and Terra headed onto Route 3 to head to Mt. Moon's Passage Way. Throughout the route there were many trainers that Terra and Gary battled through. Most of them were double-battles (which was becoming a fad within the Kanto region). It took two hours for them to get to the Pokémon Center that was in front of Mt. Moon. Because of all of the battles they were force to spend a half-hour in the center healing their Pokémon.
Once their Pokémon were healed, Gary and Terra took a deep breath and figure now or never to entered into the mountain. The passage way was dark, cold, and appeared to be empty. Gary threw out his pidgey and told it to use the move flash. The caves became lighter around the two of them. Up in the air were millions of zubats that were freaking out from pidgey's flash. They were flying around and trying to attack Gary and Terra by means of their hair. Gary decided to end this by telling the pidgey to use its gust attack. It blew away the zubats, but instead of pushing the zubats away it only aggravated them. Pidgey on its own decided to send out another gust attack to send the zubats away or make some of them fainted. At the same time Gary and Terra both caught a zubat.
The two of them went on within the passage way and into the lower levels of Mt. Moon. As Gary and Terra went through they continued to battle trainers and caught new Pokémon (Geodude, Sandshrew, Clefariry, Onix, Paras, and Jigglypuff). Finally, after climbing up and down over rocks, the two of them ran into a young man who called himself "Supernerd". After introducing himself, he offered both Gary and Terra a challenge. If they battled him and won then he would give each of them two fossils, the helix and dome fossil. Terra easily accepted the challenge. A few minutes later Gary accepted it too.
"This is going to be a sudden death match with no time limit." Supernerd sent out his Magnemite while Terra whipped out Bam-Bam's pokéball. Bam-Bam took the bone club and whipped it around him, showing off its skills.
"Bam-Bam use mega kick and then use body slam." "Magnemite dodge and then use thunderbolt." The two of them obeyed their respective commands. However, Magnemite's thundershock was blocked by Bam-Bam twirling his bone like a baton. Magnemite then tried supersonic and it hit Bam-Bam. Bam-Bam was walking around the battlefield in a confused state of mind. Terra just kept yelling at Bam-Bam to walk it off. Luckily because of Bam Bam's dizzy movements it made it difficult to hit him and most of Magnemite's attacks missed. After a couple of minutes, Bam-Bam snapped out of confusion. "Bam-Bam use dig!" The little creature buried into the ground waiting for the word.
"Alright…Now Bam-Bam! Come up!" The Pokémon jumped up right under Magnemite and delivered a massive KO attack. Bam-Bam ran over and jumped into Terra's arms. It snugged right up to her in excitement. Supernerd walked over to Terra and Bam-Bam and gave her the promised fossils.
The next Pokémon battle was Gary's newly caught Geodude v. Supernerd's Voltorb. For Gary the rules were the same as Terra. Like Terra, Gary won his match within a half an hour of battling.Supernerd handed over the same fossils as he had did with Terra.
"Oh! Supernerd… Can you please tell us how to get out of the passage way?" The Supernerd gave them directions. Apparently, it was going to be another week of being inside the cavern before they would reach the exist. The Supernerd showed Terra and Gary the pathway to led to the exist. The fossils weighed a ton in their respective backpacks. It was going to be a long week for Gary and Terra.
