"Of course you didn't see it coming." Eric said smirking.

"How didn't I sniff you out?" April asked still in utter shock.

"He overcame my sense of smell. That's never ever happened before." April thought.

"Long story, short, a witch owed me and she casted a spell, so you won't sniff us out right away."

"Carrie and Ashley are-" Jack got cut off.

"Yes and right about now they're probably with all your little friends; torturing them to be exact. Ashley and Carrie are psycho when they are hungry."

April and Jack snapped out of shock and hissed.

"Give us one good reason why we shouldn't kill you right now." Jack growled.

April looked over to Jack with a confused look.

"Why's he trying protect all of a sudden? Last time I checked he was in denial." April thought.

"Confused April?" Eric asked amused.

April glared at him.

"I could answer that question."

"My mind is blocked. How could he hear me?" April thought confused.

"That's my ability. I can break down any mind barrier." Eric said smirking.

"Great." Both Jack and April said sarcastically.

"Just get out the way." April said

"Nope."

"Alright then." April said.

Jack and April disappeared and reappeared in the woods. Eric had followed them and reappeared in front of them.

"Quit being a stalker and leave us alone." Jack growled.

"Again with the wanting to protect." April thought.

"If you truly want that question answered I could tell you right now. Jack's thoughts are going crazy. And all of them are answers to your question."

Jack glared at him. He finally had enough of Eric and threw a punch without thinking. Eric didn't see it coming so it hit his nose. Jack smirked.

"I've figured you out. You can't fight; you just rely on the person's thoughts. If I actually thought about punching you, you would've blocked it. But I didn't think." Jack explained.

"The last time I didn't think about my actions, I killed a lot of people. People not even involved in the fight." April messaged Jack worried.

"Aww, little April is afraid." Eric pouted.

"We've got to do this. If we split up anything could happen, making things worse." Jack said kicking Eric in the stomach.

April nodded. Her mind went blank, along with Jack's. They both had blank expressions on their faces; like they were robots. Their eyes turned into a brighter red and their fangs extended a couple of centimeters. It was kind of like their humanity vanished and their vampire side took over.

April made the first move and kicked him. Eric went flying to a tree; Jack jumped in the air and glided toward Eric. He punched his nose and then grabbed him by the shoulders and used all his force to push him downward. Eric fell to the ground at full speed and crashed into the ground on his back. He actually cracked the surface.

There was a terrifying sound of bone cracking and Eric screamed in agony. April and Jack smirked as April inched forward toward Eric, whose back was broken. April swooped down and grabbed Eric by his throat tightly. She lifted him off the ground.

"Wait! The answer to the question you had earlier. Jack and Kim are secretly together, that's why he's been protective of Kim. And…he loves her." He said quickly out of fear.

April's head tilted to the side with the same blank expression and then she immediately crushed his neck and let him fall to the ground "dead". April sped off, got a sharp stick and plunged it into Eric's heart. He turned into ashes.

Jack walked over, smiling. He was back to normal.

"See, that wasn't so bad." Jack said standing next to April.

April turned to him and she had the blank expression. She didn't turn back to normal.

"How dare you?" April asked looking into space.

"Wha-"

April slapped him.

"You know if you told her in the first place she might have been ok, but the fact that you both tried to hide it, is hurting her right now." April said.

"April, we could talk about this later, but now Kim's in danger. Switch your vampire side off so we could save her." Jack said.

"April doesn't want to talk. She wants to hurt you."

And with that said April punched Jack and he stumbled back. She then kicked him making him fall.

"We can't fight right now…April's going to kill me after this." Jack thought getting up.

He sped over to April and slapped her. She fell holding her cheek.

"Jack! What was that for?!" April shouted at him as she got up.

"You're back already? I thought I'd have to punch you a few times." Jack said relieved.

April glared at him and sniffed. "Follow me."

April sped off through the woods and into the Seaford Mountains. She stopped in front of the door of a cabin with Jack by her side. Jack kicked the door opened. They immediately smell blood, luckily not Kim's.

"Jerry, Milton." April whispered and ran into the cabin and into a room.

There was blood splattered everywhere. They saw Ashley and Carrie floor with their necks snapped. What April smelled was Jerry and Milton's blood on the walls.

"Where are they?" Jack asked as he stepped in. April followed. "Oh, no, no, no. This can't be happening."

"What?" April asked turning toward Jack.

He held a note in his hand and handed to April. April read it.

Dear Runaway and the Fool. Oh wait I mean April and Jack,

I've got Kim now and when you find me, it'll probably be too late.

I mean it'll be too late for your human friends at least.

Yeah, it was really messing when I got there.

Those girls are some real freaks.

By the way I saw the blood everywhere like that,

so don't go pointing fingers.

Anyway Kim's a goner.

April's body jittered in anger and her hands balled up into fist. Then she looked up at Jack, who had the same angry expression she had.

"You know what, I just remembered someone who's more of a bastard and jerk than you." April said.

"Kai." They both growl under their breath.
