Chapter 18

Warning: A lot of blood and a little sexual contact.
April punched a hole in the wall as she ran out the cabin. Jack followed.
"When get my hands on him…" April started to breath heavy in anger.
"If we have a chance. His special power could throw us off."
"I know, but that isn't going to stop me…us; considering you love her, right." April said bitterly.
"April-"
"No, forget I brought it up." April said softly.
She sniffed. "The blood is too overwhelming let's get somewhere else."
She and Jack ran back to the woods. April sniffed again and caught Kim's still strong scent. She rushed in the scent's direction with Jack following behind.
They were in front of another cabin, again, with the stench of blood coming through the door. This time there was a small scent of Kim's blood. Jack kicked the door opened.
They saw Milton on the ground knocked out and Kim in a corner shivering and curled up in a ball.
"Where are Jerry and Kai?" April thought.
"P-please don't hurt him. I-I won't be a struggle this time." Kim said shakily.
She held out her, already bitten, wrist, not bothering to look up.
"Kim." Jack and April said together. They look at each other.
"Go ahead I'll check on Milton." April whispered. Jack nodded and walked over to Kim.
"Kim, I'm here. It's alright." Jack said as he hugged Kim.
She planted her face in his chest and sobbed.
"No. J-Jerry, he-he…"
She didn't finish. Instead she just sobbed louder. Jack held her tighter.
"Pl-please do-don't let go." Kim sobbed.
"I won't, I promise."
April walked over to them.
"Milton is ok. He just needs to get patched up here and there. We have to get him out of here before the cuts get infected."
Jack nodded and stood up with Kim in his arms. April went and picked Milton up bridal style.
"Let's go before-" April got interrupted.
"I get here." Kai said, standing in front of the closed door. "Hello, baby cousin, runaway slave."
April hissed and Jack glared at him.
Kai chuckled. "You haven't changed much; you're still the feisty, sexy girl that never liked me for some reason."
"For some reason?! You know damn well why I hate you!" April exclaimed.
"Oh, why's that." Kai said smirking.
"You tried to-"
"It's not worth saying, you'll just satisfy him." Jack interrupted.
April nodded and stayed silent.
"Really Jack; still by her side when she abandoned you and made you become the family fool."
April frowned in confusion. "Family fool?"
"Wasn't Kai the family fool?" April thought.
Everybody in the family had some sort of respect for Jack. Well, everybody had respect for everyone in the family, except for Kai, who made really stupid decisions. Kai was the fool not Jack.
"That doesn't matter, what matters is getting Kim and Milton out of here." Jack said changing the subject.
April speed over to the wall and put Milton down. Kim let go of Jack and rushed over to Milton as April went back to Jack's side.
"Over my dead body." Kai said through his teeth.
"Aren't we already dead?" April and Jack thought.
"I could make that happen." Jack said.
April looked over at Jack like idiot we are dead, that's the best you could do.
April turned and looked at Kai, she felt extreme pain coming from her stomach and shot through her spine. She screamed and fell to the ground. Her hands clutched her abdomen and blood seeped through her shirt and hands. April looked up to Kai, who was looking straight at her stomach, focusing hard. Another shot pain went up April's spine. She screamed again and started shaking.
"I've always hated your power." April said shakily, in pain.
Kim fearlessly stood up and rushed to April. She knelt down and raised April's shirt just enough to see her wound. It was a long cut that went from side to side of her abdomen, still bleeding. Kim's eyes widen.
"Don't try to help her. Only I could stop the bleeding and pain." Kai said smirking.
"You evil bastard." Jack said.
"Hey, now I know how April feels when she looks at me." Jack thought.
Kai turned his attention to Jack and April's wound stopped bleeding and started healing. April stopped shivering and crawled back to the wall with Kim.
"You're too scared to really fight; without that stupid power of yours." Jack growled.
"Revise psychology won't work on me. The truth is you're scared. You're scared because you know if you take one step closer April and Kim are dead."
Jack was silenced and Kai smirked once more.
"I don't care." Jack said firmly, breaking the silence.
Kim's eyes widen. She felt hurt.
"Kim don't worry, he's probably saying that to get Kai frustrated." April messaged Kim and she nodded.
"Oh really. So you don't care if I do this." Kai raised his hand toward April.
The pain came back and April screamed, but this time she felt like she was being cut with knives continuously from the neck down.
"JACK! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!" April screamed.
"I've gone so low; I'm asking him for help."
Jack looked Kai straight in the eye with an emotionless face.
"Jack, turn around and look at her." Kai commanded and Jack did as he said.
April was cover in her own blood from the neck down, still screaming her lungs out. Kim sat against the wall curled up in a ball. She couldn't take her best friend screaming in pain anymore. She broke down into sobs, just like they found her in the beginning. Jack just stared at them with a blank expression.
"Still don't care Jack?"
"You said it yourself. She made a fool out of me, I truly don't care."
"Okay, then what about…"
Kai looked at April. She stopped screaming, but started coughing violently. She started coughing up blood. She started sobbing as more blooding came up painfully.
"Please. Help." April whimpered between coughs.
"Still don't care?" Kai asked.
"Still don't care." Jack said emotionless.
"She's losing a lot of blood, Jack." Kai sang.
Jack stayed silent.
"He's getting frustrated, great! You see, that's the point of me doing this. As much as I hate seeing April and Kim like this, it maybe the only way to get Kai to stop using his power, and start trying to fight physcially out of frustration."
April stopped coughing. Breathing heavily she got up and looked at Kai.
"I hate you and what's up with you and making people bleed." April grunted as she leaned against the wall for support.
Kai smiled and sped behind April. "I'll let Jack answer that." Kai said and licked a little blood off her neck, making April freeze.
A cut on her neck immedately healed after he licked it. It came with his power.
"He likes to…lick the blood off his victums' bodies."Jack said quietly.
"Just the women." Kai added and put his hands on April's waist. He then sped in front of her. "Aww, you got a little blood on your lips. I'll take care of that."
He crushed their lips together. April refused to kiss back, but Kai didn't care, he was in it for the blood. He grabbed April's jaw and forced it open, letting his tongue through. He licked all the blood out of her mouth.
Jack eyes turned red and had his fist at his sides.
April tried pushing him away, but she was weak from all the cuts and the blood loss.
"God, this is disgusting. Jack, do something.I have cut everywhere and I don't want him getting any further. I get what you're trying to do, but Kai is a little too busy to get frustrated now. Help." April messaged him.
"If I do something he'll kill you and go for Kim. He'll see you guys as my weakness." Jack messaged back.
Kai pulled away and got behind April again. April glared at Jack.
"I thought you didn't care." Kai said snickering.
"I don't." Jack said through his teeth.
"Yeah, you do." Everyone messaged Jack.
"Well damn, then." Jack thought.
Kai grabbed the hem of April's shirt. April grabbed his hand, but there was no point she hadn't gained her strength back yet.
"Please, no."
"Aww, I've always liked it when you plead for mercy when you know I show no mercy." Kai whispered in her ear. With that said Kai ripped her shirt off, making April shiver and immediately cross her arms over her chest.
"Ok, that's it."
Jack sped toward Kai, but before he could even touch him, Jack stopped in his tracks. He could breath. He felt something coming up and he felt to his kneels; one hand on his stomach, the other on the floor steadying himself.
He started to throw up blood, non-stop. When he tried to close his mouth, his blood just pushed through.
"Stop, he won't be able to breath! And if you're not going to can you please back up some because the blood is getting on my shoes…just bought these." April said the last part quietly.
Kai rolled his eyes and stepped back, bringing April back with him.
"Thank you."
"Ok now that he's taken care off, back to you." Kai whispered, biting on April's ear.
April held back a moan and said. "Get off of me." She started struggling in his grip. She found a new strength in her and pushed him away.
She looked down and saw the cuts were healing.
"Ha, idiot didn't focus on me and now I'm healing."
"Oh come. I know you wanna." Kai said
April glared at him.
Suddenly Kim sweep kicked Kai and he fell flat on his back with a grunt. Then she kicked his head and he grunted again. Kim went back to the wall and sat looking up at April like 'there you go, your turn'. April just stood there looking at Kim wide eyed and confused for a second, but she snapped out of it when Kai grunted and got up slowly.
"Now, Kai let's not get angry here." April said calmly.
"Shut up April."
With that said Kai threw a punch but Jack got in front of April and caught it.
"You probably shouldn't have done that."
"Bruh, is that your catchphrase now?" April and Kim thought, narrowing their eyes.
