Chapter 25

Two updates in one day gasp! This is to make up for the fact that I didn't update The Mission today, but I'll be sure to do that later this week.

Kim opened her eyes. She sat up and realized she was in her room at home…on the floor. She got up and saw blonde hair poking out the pink sheets of the bed.

"Pink? I don't even have a pink room anymore. Did I go back to when I was thirteen? Don't ask me why I had a pink room for so long. I don't even know myself." Kim thought.

Suddenly a hissing sound came from the corner. Kim got into fighting stance. The vampire came out. He was tall, had jet black hair, tattoos, and a lit cigarette in hand. He then flicked the cigarette through the opened window. He smirked as he got closer to the bed. Kim jumped into action and jumped in front of the bed. The guy didn't stop; he didn't seem to see her even though she was right in front of him. He passed right by her. Kim turned around to him.

"What?"

Before Kim could process anything the guy got tackled to the ground. Kim looked to the ground to see who he was wrestling with.

"It's probably my brother if I really am in the past." Kim thought.

They both got up breathing heavily. Kim got a glimpse of who it was before they tackled each other again. Her eyes widened.

"It's that girl."

"You're not touching her." April growled, pinning the vampire down.

"Oh yeah? Watch me." He disappeared into a black mist that surrounded him then reappeared right next to Kim's bed.

April took action quickly and grabbed Kim out of bed and into her arms, bridal style, before the vampire could do anything. Kim didn't wake up, she just stirred in April's arms then stilled. April held Kim close.

"You don't want your prey hurt before you get a chance to suck her blood right? You want every once of blood in her blood." April whispered, not wanting to awaken Kim.

"Yeah, but you wouldn't hurt. You're her protector, rebel girl."

"The name's April and you just said it yourself. I'm a rebel I don't play by the rules. I could have Kim to myself anytime I want." April said, licking her lips.

"You wouldn't."

"Try me."

April put Kim down on the bed again in a flash then tackled the other vampire again. He had been a little shocked at what April said. She just did that to trip him up. April punched him again and again until he got knocked out. Breathing heavily, she got up and broke a leg off a wooden chair in the corner and plunged it into his heart.

She looked down at his ashes.

"It's a shame. He was pretty cute." She muttered, shrugging.

"What the hell did I just watch?" Kim thought, looking at April sweeping up the ashes with a broom she found in the closet.

Then April looked down at her tank top, hands, and arms; all bloody.

"Great now I need a top and a shower."

April started to lift her tank top but suddenly, the door opened. It was Kim's brother. April looked up and pulled her bloody top down.

"Sup, Mark." April greeted.

Mark glared at her. "Is Kim ok?"

"Yes." April answered.

April covered her nose with her hands.

"You're drunk. You're really drunk; I can usually stand the smell but…" April coughed a little. "It's really strong."

Kim smirked. "She and her heightened smell sense. Stronger than a pack of wolves…how'd I know that?"

"Yes, I'm drunk." He slurred.

"But, my brother doesn't drink." Kim thought.

He stumbled into the room toward Kim's bed. April moved in front of him.

"Back up." April said.

Mark grabbed April's arm and smirked.

"I just want to see my sister." He pouted.

"I don't want you to wake her up and then she sees you like this…frankly because she doesn't know who you are and that I'm here." April whispered, yanking her arm away from Mark.

"Whatever." He said pushing April aside.

April pushed him back, but right after that she felt weak. Her arm started twitching, the arm Mark touched. There was a small clear, circular pad on it. She quickly peeled it off.

"W-what did you-?"

"It'll make you feel weak, like you're human again." Mark smirked.

April's eyes widened.

"No, Mark, she just saved me." Kim found herself saying out loud, but she was ignored.

"I'm taking Kim with me." Mark stumbled toward the bed again.

"No!" April stepped in front of him again.

He growled and pushed April to the ground. "I'm tired of you." Mark kicked April hard.

She bit back a scream, curling up into a ball. Mark knelt down next to her. He heard sniffing.

"Is that crying from the mighty protector?" Mark pulled April's hair behind her ear and then whispered. "You know this is the perfect timing…I've honestly always wanted to do this."

"Do what? He's always wanted to do what?" Kim thought, frightened for April.

April looked at him with fear in her eyes. He made her human again and she was very vulnerable at the time, he could have done anything. Heck, he just broke a rib.

Mark slipped a hand in April's top. April and Kim gasped. "No!" They both shouted together.

"Shh, you don't want to wake up Kim."

Mark's hand shifted upward as he started to kiss her neck. April shouted but then Mark covered her mouth.

Kim rushed to her younger self who was still sleeping. Kim shook her.

"Wake up! Save her, don't let him do this!" Kim shook her younger self but it didn't do anything. "Save April!"

Suddenly, everything went black.

Kim opened her eyes to see she was on the forest ground, holding on to someone's hand. She looked at whose hand she was holding. It was April she was shaking and crying, breathing heavily.

The guys looked at April worried then turned to Kim.

"What happened?" Jack asked.

"Sh-she made me re-relive it. Ho-how di-did you?" April yanked her hand away from Kim.

"April, I'm sorry. I don't know how I did it. I didn't mean it. I'm so sorry." Kim tried to hug her but April stood up.

April backed up. "No. No, get away from me. Don't touch me!" April shouted.

"Calm down. What happened?" Jerry got up and asked her.

April just kept backing up and crying. She stared at Kim.

"Don't say a word." With that April sped off in a random direction.

"Well, I remember April…now it's your turn." Kim grabbed Jack's hand then everything went black again.`
