Chapter 27

"I don't know." Jack muttered.

"I could look into terrible parts in a person's past! You have to know what's wrong with me!" Kim shouted.

Jack sighed. "I mean there's a possibility...but I don't you think could really be the third one." Jack looked at Kim intensely.

"Third, what Jack?" Kim asked, eager. Jack looked at her, debating whether he should tell her or not.

"The third member of the fangless vampires..." Jack said.

"The what vampires?"

"The fangless vampires."

"What the hell are those?! I've never heard of them."

"Of course you haven't heard of them because they're legends...forget I mentioned it."

"No. Tell me why you thing I'm some type of vampire."

Jack took in a deep breath and decided to tell Kim the story. Milton and Jerry climbed forward, wanting to hear the story.

"The fangless vampires are vampires that are born vampires. They don't have to get bitten. The legends say that one is born every five hundred years. It says that these vampires act and function like humans. They don't have the need to feast on blood or have a hunger talking them to feed. They eat normal food and have a choice of drinking blood. Fangless vampires well...don't have fangs. Well, not right way at birth, at least. They start developing all the vampire abilities at the age of seventeen. You know the usual, getting fangs, strength, speed, hearing and all that mess."

"What about the one special ability?" Kim interrupted.

"They get all vampires' special abilities." Jack's jaw tightened.

"What?"

"For example, if you are a fangless vampire, you could have my force field and April's strong sense of smell. You'd have all other vampires' special abilities too." Jack came up with an example. His hand balled up into fist. "They're too powerful for themselves. Elder vampires claim they've felt two of them on this Earth already and the third one is getting stronger and growing everyday. They say there need to be four fangless vampires to complete their mission...their destiny." Jack stopped and looked to the ground. Anger invaded his body.

"Wh-what their destiny?" Jerry had spoken up.

"Their destiny is to rid the world of vampires and make it pure again, sending all the vampires' souls to hell. Even if you're a good vampire you'd go to hell. That's why vampires all around the world are trying to kill them off before there's four. Nobody has found one yet and the elders don't know exactly where they are. They only sense a strong power all the time." Jack's anger started to get the best of him. "I want to get my hands on one so badly."

"This has nothing to do with me. I'm seventeen now, but I haven't shown any signs."

"You literally just looked into my past to learn everything about me. I felt you in my head. You even learned new things about me and you didn't even noticed." Jack growled. "Sure you haven't used any other abilities but they'll come soon."

"Yes, she has shown sighs." April's voice sounded behind them.

They turned around and Kim got up. April back away as Kim took a step forward. Kim frowned.

"I have some things I don't want to relive." April said to Kim. "Anyway, she has shown sign of strength." She said to Jack. Kim looked at her confused. "She doesn't remember, but she tried to attack me with a stake. She said she'd get rid of all vampires in the world starting with me. She definitely has her super strength developed." April explained. Jack got up and April sped in front of him. "I felt your anger from miles away. Sure she might be the third fangless vampire but I'm still her protector and you're still her boyfriend. I'm not letting you do anything stupid."

Jack took in a deep breath in an attempt to calm down. He ended up running to a tree and punching it. It fall over. He turned around with angry red eyes. April jumped in front of him.

"What is wrong?! You're scary the hell out Kim!" April shouted at Jack.

Kim had backed up and hid behind a tree.

"She is the third one and you know it! If we get rid of her know she won't be able to kill us in the next five hundred years!" Jack shouted like he was insane. Everyone's eyes widened.

Jerry and Milton got and rushed to Jack. They blocked his way. They all started arguing and Kim his behind the tree. She closed her eyes and felt tears run her cheeks.

"Jack wants to hurt you." Kim's eye flew open as she heard an unknown voice of a British male.

"That's a shame. Great, now I owe you twenty dollars." A female's voice came out of nowhere. She had an accent of Latin origin. The guy laughed.

Kim looked around herself, looking up in the trees, where the voices sounded. She slowly lifted herself off the tree and walked around in a small circle. I sensed two people behind me so I turned around.

It was a boy and a girl her age. The girl had long, jet black hair with green eyes. She had an average height. She wore an all black dress that was sleeveless and skin tight, showing off every curve and some black heels. Kim looked to the boy who was tall and handsome. He had short dirty blonde hair with blue eyes. He was wearing a black dress shirt, blue jeans and all black converses.

"Ello, mate. The name's James." He introduced himself.

"Hola, I'm Erica." She introduced herself.

Kim just looked at them crazy. "What do you want?"

"Oh nothing Kim. We just wanted to see the third one of us." Erica said.

"Welcome to the fangless vampires club." James said with Jazz hands. Erica rolled her eyes. "Sorry she looks like a slut. We were at a club when we sensed you using your special ability for the first time." James apologized for Erica. Erica gasped and elbowed his stomach. James groaned.

"Oh yeah, nevermind. I don't owe you twenty dollars. She's a girl and you said it's a guy next. We bet twenty dollars on that too." Erica laughed.

"Yeah, five hundred years ago." James retarded.

"A bet's a bet."

Kim coughed awkwardly trying to get their attention. They turn to her.

"How long have-" Kim was interrupted by the sound of bone cracking.

Kim ran to the direction and Erica and James followed. Kim stopped and saw that Jack, Jerry and April were fighting while Milton hid in the trees. The sound of bone cracking was April's wrist. Jack had snapped her wrist, but her bone quickly found its way to the other half and healed.

"Jack I know you want to kill them but not Kim!" Jerry shouted him as he dodged punches and kicks.

"We don't want to fight you." April said from behind them.

"To bad! I'm putting up a-" He stopped himself from speaking. "April I know you smell that."

April looked down. She was hoping he wouldn't notice the scents. Jack turned his body in the direction of Kim, Erica, and James. He smirked evilly. Kim's eyes widened and started backing up. She hit James' chest. He didn't move out the way, instead he grabbed Kim's arms, holding her in place. Kim started squirming as Jack got closer.

"Let go!" Kim shouted at him.

"Shh, just wait! Pfft, Americans, always jumping head first into violence and running around." James said, annoyed.

Kim rolled her eyes. April suddenly started twitching. She smirked and her fangs came out. She looked from the ground started to Kim. Her eyes were blood red. She stalked over toward Kim with Jack. They both hissed. Jerry on the other hand lost his fangs. He literally lost his fangs he couldn't get them to come out again.

"What the hell?" He muttered.

Milton fell out of the tree. He got up, groaning and dusting himself off.

"It's like I lost all my upper body strength all of a sudden." He thought.

Jack and April were inches away from the squirming Kim. "April, stopped!" Kim shouted.

April looked at her confused. "Do I know you?" She asked, seriously.

"I don't think so baby. We would have remembered feasting on her blood." Jack said to April.

"Baby?" Kim asked, hurt.

"Yeah I said baby. It's what you humans like to do right? Give pet names to your girlfriend or boyfriend."

"Girlfriend?!" Kim shouted.

"Wow, that blonde has gone to her head." April insulted her. "Me. His. Girlfriend." April slowed it down for her.

Kim gasped. "What?" Tears welled in her eyes.

"Dumb son of..." April stopped herself. "You know what? Let's get to the point. We want to suck your blood." April said.

"Stop!" James shouted and everything froze except James, Kim and Erica.

"Wh-how?" Kim was so confused.

"We'll explain everything when you wake up." Erica said.

Kim turned to them both. "What's going on?"

"You're in a hospital now and you've been in a coma for the past week. You had a quite a fall trying to do a black flip for karate. Just remember to try those on mats...not hard concrete." Erica explained.

"Yes, this has all been a dream. Let me explain this though, Jerry and Milton are your friends but you don't know Jack and April at all. You actually just saw them in reality." James pointed to Jack and April. "Those versions, that just tried to kill you are the real Jack and April. They're still a couple with the same evil minds." James said bitterly. "They've been trying to kill us for centuries." James growled.

"But April isn't like that. Sh-she nice. She prot-"

"Not Kim! Your dream just got really descriptive. She hates you, in fact she has tried to kill you twice when you were in this coma!"

"Bu-"

"Doctor, she's waking up!"

Kim heard her mom's voice, followed by constant beeping. Kim looked at up at James but to see she see nothing but trees. She turned to Jack and April but saw nothing but darkness.
