I woke up before everyone else, even before the sun was up. I just couldn't sleep, so much has happened yesterday. I'm here in a time when demons and magic exist. Kaede's words were still in my head, i'm here for a reason. but what is my reason for being here? Do i have something special about me that puts me apart from normal humans? i must figure it out before something bad happens. It would be so cool if i had powers. how can i find out? I was so much in my thoughts that i didn't notice kilala came and sat by me. she was looking at me like she knew something that i did not.

"Mia, Have you seen Kilala?" Sango asked behind me.

"Yes, she right here. We are just watching the sunrise. would you like to join?"

"yes, thank you. so how are you taking everything that's happening? Kagome freaked out at first but then she got used to it. "

"i wonder what is so special about me. i'm more curious than scared. how do we even go about finding out?"

"I Don't know but maybe kaede knows how or someone who will know."

"Mia! Sango! Breakfast!" Inuyasha yelled down at us.

While eating i felt a mosquito bite on my neck so i slapped it hard. when i did i heard a "Ouch."

"Guys this mosquito i just killed just said ouch." I tell everyone as i move to show them the mosquito in my hand.

"i'm not a mosquito! i'm a flea!" said the mosquito, well i guess he is a flea.

"Myoga!" Everyone yelled.

"Myoga, what are you doing here?" Asked Inuyasha.

"there has a been a disturbance among the demon world and i now know why."

"well what is it?" asked kagome.

"this girl." myoga said as he pointed to me.

"what about me?" i asked.

"you have the blood of a long forgotten race of fairies, you are the last. Demons will come for you for your blood and powers."

"I'm a Fairy? that's so cool! But why would demons want my blood?"

"legend has it that if you drink from a live fairy of all of its blood you will become immortal and have your powers grow stronger, kinda like the Shikon jewel does."

"So you're basically telling us that Mia is very special and we have to keep her safe?" Inuyasha demanded.

"Yes. until she is well trained with her powers and learn how to fight because from on one she will be fighting for the rest her life. for good or evil."Myoga stated.

"That's so crazy, but i have no powers." i tell him.

"we just have to find someone to help unlock your powers and harness them. i have someone in mind that could help. i will go find him and bring you to him. but in tell then you need to learn hot to fight and defend your self. Inuyasha, sango i'm sure you two can help her. i best go now. sooner the better." with that myoga left.

"wow i'm shocked. i'm a fairy? its kinda hard to believe. do i look like a fairy? i'm sorry guys for being a problem. ill learn all i can fast so i don't hold all of you back from your mission." i tell them.

"nonsense! we all will help you. besides we might need you to help us in our fight against Naraku." Kagome tells me while the other smile and nod their heads.

"OK no more talking and lets get started. Now Mia what weapon do you want? A sword or bow and arrows?" Asked Sango.

"i guess a sword would be the best choice, but shouldn't we start with hand to hand combat?"

"oh course but we need to let the blacksmith know he needs to make a sword in advance. so it will be ready for you when we get to that stage." sango says with a smile.

"OK. lets do this!" i said, excited to start.

two weeks later:

"Good! Now again." Inuyasha yelled at me as he ran toward me with Tessaiga. I raised my sword to block when Ogre came out of the forest towards me with his sword raised to attack me. i see inuyasha getting ready to attack when sango went up to him and told him something. he gave her a weird expression but nodded.

"He's all yours Mia! Kill him!" yelled Inuyasha.

"what?! NO! i'm not ready to fight on my own! i'm a beginner!" I screamed, scared.

"You can do! you're a fast learner. Me and inuyasha will be right here watching." sango encourage me to fight.

"Fine." I run toward the Ogre and swing and his feet. since he was so tall his feet had to be his weakness. the Ogre just grunted and kicked me across the open field into a tree. I yelp in pain, but get up and waited until the Ogre attack me. It runs toward me and i swing my sword through his stomach but my sword gets stuck in its belly and i fall as i back away from the angry Ogre. He goes for the kill and i just imagine it on fire and out of no where a fireball shoots out of my hand and kills the Ogre. I get up and smile. I Did it! I killed my first demon! i start to walk about to sango and inuyasha and i see shocked expressions.

"How did you do that?!" Sango asked amazed.

"i guess myoga was right. you do have powers" inuyasha said. i smile at him.

"i don't know how i did it. i just imagined him on fire and them boom! fire comes out of my hands." i said excited.

"We better get back. its getting dark." Sango said as she climbed on Kilala holding out her hand for me to grab.

"OK. i am getting hungry." I laugh.

Kaede's Village:

"Oh good you guys are back. How did it go?" Kagome asked.

"I killed a Ogre! it was so cool, fire came out of my hand!" i said with a big smile on my face.

"Really? that's awesome!" Shippo yelled.

"can you do it again? kagome asked curiously.

"i don't know but i can try." i point my hand toward a bush by the river and imagined it on fire. nothing happened. i did it again and still nothing.

"its not working." i said, sad.

"it probably only works when Mia believes she is in danger, her power surfaces,like inuyasha." Miroku said as he looked up to night sky. we all nod in agreement.

"Master Inuyasha! Master Inuyasha! i'm back and i came with great new!" Myoga yelled as he jumped of a near by cat onto inyasha's nose and sucked his blood. inuyasha slapped him off.

"finally you came back myoga. so what is it? will your friend help Mia?" inuyasha asked.

" yes! We will leaving in the morning, to begin our journey to his home for her training, but only i and Mia are going." Myoga said.

"why?" asked kagome.

"Master Roshi said that she needs to make the journey on her own and if she survives he will teach her. so we must go alone."

"i don't think i'm ready to journey on my own." i said, worried.

"you can do! we have been training everyday all day and you just killed your first demon. you can do it Mia." Sango said with a smile.

"even though i don't like it, do we agree to let Mia go alone?" Kagome asked.

"yes." everyone agreed giving me a reassuring smile.

"myoga, how long will we be gone?" I asked

"At least a few months, until your training is over or until you get to a part in your training when you can train on your own." Myoga said as he yawned.

"that's along time, but i ready for my next stage of training to begin."
