It had been a few weeks since they had announced their engagement and they had begun to plan the ceremony. One day however Emma found herself sitting on the bathroom floor in stunned silence.

Emma looked down at the test in her hand in utter shock. Many thoughts were racing through her head. How was this possible, it has to be mistake, what will Regina say, oh shit Regina, what am I going to tell her?

Emma spent the day wondering how she was going to explain the situation to Regina. She was sitting in the study pouring over magic books trying to find an answer when she heard the front door close. Taking a deep breath she got up and went to great Regina.

Regina turned from hanging her coat in the cupboard to see Emma standing in the study doorway with her arms crossed in front of herself.. She was wearing a pair of track pants, an old hoodies and her hair was pulled messily into a ponytail. Looking at her face Regina could tell something was worrying her. She looked both happy to see her and like she was dreading whatever was going to happen next

"Hey babe." She said quietly as Regina walked towards her and placed a chaste kiss on her lips.

"Good evening dear. How was your day?" Regina replied wrapping her arms tightly around the blonde's waist and as the blonde snuggled her head into the crook of her neck.

"It was okay. How about you?"

"My day was good, thank you" Regina replied. Emma leant further into the embrace, letting out a contented sigh but she didn't speak.

"Sweetheart, are sure you okay?" Regina asked concerned with how Emma did not seem to want to let go.

"Yeah I'm okay, we need to talk though." Emma said quietly, muffled by her face being buried in Regina's neck.

"Okay, do you want to go and sit down?"

"In a little while," Emma said still clinging to Regina, "Can we just stay like this for a little while longer?"

"Of course, dear." Regina replied growing more worried with how Emma was acting. "I love you, you know that." She pulled Emma in as close to her as possible, hoping to reassure that she was safe.

"I love you too."

After Emma decided she was ready she pulled out of her embrace with Regina. Taking her hand she led her into her study where the magic books were still laid out all over the room. Seeing the books laid out Regina began to grow more worried and confused. She sat down on the sofa while Emma began pacing the room. After a minute Regina began to become concerned.

"Emma, sweetheart, you're scarring me. What's wrong?" she prompted.

Continuing with her pacing Emma began to respond. "Okay, okay how do I say this? Okay, Regina today I took a test and the results really, really confused me. I mean this shouldn't be possible, in fact as far as I know it is impossible. So I've been looking for answers that can explain it hence the mess, but I haven't found anything. Now I'm really scared what you're going to think and say."

As Emma spoke Regina had gotten up and walked towards her. Halting her pacing she grabbed Emma's hands and looked in her eyes.

"Emma, just tell me sweetheart. It's okay." she said hoping to calm her fiancée.

"Okay, Okay," Emma said as she took a breath. "I'm pregnant, and I completely do not know how as the only person I've been with is you, I swear I never cheated, this should be impossible. What?" Emma stopped when she noticed that Regina was smiling and chuckling a little. "What's so funny? This is serious"

"I know sweetheart, but the thing is that with magic many things that should be impossible become possible." She began. "You can heal wounds that should take months or even years to heal, you can break a curse with a kiss, and you can create life."

Emma looked at Regina confused "Gina what are you going on about."

Seeing Emma's confused expression Regina smiled softly and continued. "In the enchanted forest it was rare, but not unheard of for a child to be born of true love when it's believed not to be possible. Especially if the couple cannot naturally conceive due to a variety of circumstances."

As Emma processed what Regina was telling her she wondered why Regina would be so calm about telling her this. She turned and faced Regina more, her face showing her confusion. "What does this mean for us?"

Regina laughed at Emma's impatience "I'm getting there." She said with a smirk. "I am telling you this because you think you are pregnant." She paused to let this sink in. "Which is possible if we are true loves."

Emma looked at Regina in shock, "you mean...?"

"Yes darling, I love you, you love me, we've made a baby" Regina said slowly as she let it sink in for Emma.

A second after she said it she was being pulled into a searing kiss by the blonde. "Regina, We're having a baby?" she gushed in awe.

"Yes, a little girl."

"Wait, how do you know it's a girl?"

"We are two women therefore we can only produce a girl." Regina explained. As she explained she knelt down in front of Emma and lifted her hoodie to expose her stomach. Placing her hands either side of Emma's belly button she leant forward and kissed just under it. Emma laughed softly at the sensation and threaded her fingers through the brunette's hair.

"Hi baby girl," Regina whispered against the blonde's stomach. "I'm your Mommy. Mama and I can't wait to meet you. We love you already." Looking up Regina saw happy tears in the blonde's eyes. She stands and wraps her arms around her waist, leaning forward she places a gentle yet loving kiss on her lips.

"I love you so much babe." Emma says as she wipes away her tears.

"I love you too." Regina said smiling as she pulled Emma into another kiss.

They had been curled up on the sofa, just enjoying being in each other's company, when Regina spoke up.

"I have two questions for you."

"Okay" Emma said as she snuggled into Regina's arms more.

"Firstly, why were you nervous to tell me?" Emma stiffened in Regina's arms, sensing this she placed a kiss to the side her head.

Taking a deep breath Emma replied, "I know how hard it is to take in, and I was scared that it'd be something you wouldn't want."

Pulling Emma closer Regina spoke, "You're right it is a lot to take in, but I am really happy about this."

"And secondly?" Emma queried after a few moments of silence.

"Oh, why are you wearing a hoodie at this time of day?"

Emma laughed, "I wanted something comfortable that I could snuggle in." She replied.

"Well in that case you can wear it all you want. I can't have the mother of my children being anything less than comfortable." Regina said with a laugh. "However, I am always open for a snuggle with her."

Grinning Emma snuggled closer into Regina. She was happy and content in the arms of her true love.
