"Christ, how many bodies are we opening up tonight?"

"It's got to be at least half a dozen. Hey, be lucky you aren't cleaning up the store." Two men in white lab coats entered the break room.

"Well, we better get some coffee before we start, because it's gonna be a LONG night." They both got cups and filled them with coffee. "So, Nikki, how do you like America so far?"

A middle-aged man took a sip of coffee and told his colleague "It's well as long as you aren't living downtown. Traffic can get brutal."

The younger man raised his cup. "Amen."

They downed their drinks and left for the autopsy room. As they walked down the hall, they took one of the bodies that were lying on gurneys into the room.

"What's the name of the victim, Joey?" Nikki asked.

Joey looked at the toe tag and said "Uhh, Michael de la Rantz. Funny, he doesn't look like one."

"Well, either way, he's dead. Alright, let's open him up." As they cut him open, they were surprised to see what was, or wasn't, in this case, inside. They pulled back his chest flaps, and saw that some of his organs were missing.

"This isn't possible," Joey said. "I mean, his stomach, liver, heart, and both his kidneys are gone. There isn't even an incision on him. There is no way that someone took them without leaving a mark."

"Something's not right, here. This is some paranormal shit." Just then, they heard a voice on the intercom.

"Dr. Polav please report to the front desk. Dr. Nikolas Polav please report to the front desk." Nikki groaned.

"Okay, you finish here, and bring in the next body. I'll be right back." As he left for the front desk, he passed all the bodies. What he didn't see was that one was awake.

Joey finished sewing Mike back up and pushed him into a body drawer. He went back out into the hall and grabbed the gurney closest to the door. "Huh," Joey said to himself, "that's funny. I thought there was a hole in your face." He shrugged and continued pushing him in.

When they got into the room, Joey went to the closet and pulled out more gloves and more surgical equipment. He went back to the table and picked up the scissors. He went to cut the mask off, when suddenly, Mask reached up and grabbed Joey by the neck. Joey dropped the scissors immediately and gasped for air. He was able to break free, when someone came out from under the table.

"Gotcha!" A woman laughed. "Boy, were you scared."

"Christ, Val, don't make me shit myself like that." Val laughed even harder.

"Hey, I'm sorry, baby. I'll leave you two alone." She walked out, still laughing.

"Jeez, Val. I love you, but don't do that." He picked up the scissors and stood back up, seeing that the table was empty. "What the fuck?"

Valerie went into the break room and grabbed herself some chips from the vending machine. As she put in the dollar, she looked at her reflection and fixed her hair. When her chips fell, she bent down, picked them up, stood up again, and looked at her reflection one more time. She saw someone standing behind her. She turned around to see a man in uniform. "Oh, hey Carlos. How ya doing?" Carlos pulled out a dollar of his own.

"I'm hungry. Can you hurry up? I want some Doritos." Valerie moved out of the way and Carlos put his dollar in. "So, Val, you still with that Joey boy?" He punched in his selection.

"Yeah, I just scared him with one of the bodies." Carlos picked up his bag and opened it.

"You know, you shouldn't do that. He has a very bad bladder." As he munched on his chips, Val threw her bag onto the table.

"I guess I should apologize to him."

"You think?"

Joey frantically searched for Mask's body, checking everywhere he could think. After three minutes, he finally gave up. He went to open the door, but couldn't. Someone has locked it. He backed up so he can kick it open, but bumped into something. He didn't have time to turn around as a scalpel was plunged into his neck. With a flick of the wrist, Mask sliced open Joey's neck, blood spilling everywhere. Joey had no chance of survival. Once on the floor, Joey was picked up and stuffed into one of the body drawers.

Nikki got to the front desk. There was a letter waiting for him. "Ugh, really? This was SOO important that it interrupted me from my autopsy?" He asked the receptionist.

"Sorry, hon. The man said it was crucially important that you read it right away." Nikki opened the letter and saw that it was from his friend, Dmitri. He opened it and read it aloud.

"'Dear Nikolas, this is concerning all the bodies in your morgue. Everyone you are working on tonight was murdered by one of the bodies. They call him 'The Man in the Mask'. He was the one that was supposed to hunt us down. I THOUGHT I had him executed back in Kyiv, but he returned last night, killing almost everyone in the store. Only I and a teenage girl survived. I am planning to introduce her to my son. Anyways, make sure that Mask is actually dead. Regards, Dmitri Vladkov.'" He looked it over again to make sure that he read it correctly. A killer in the building? Make sure that he is dead? What the fuck is he?

The receptionist looked at him and told him "Are you done here? Don't you have bodies to open up?" Nikki put the letter into his pocket and went back to autopsy.

Carlos went back to his office, an empty Doritos bag in his hand. "This will do nicely for my collection." He took a stapler and stapled the bag to an empty spot on the wall. He looked at all the bags he collected. Every bag on the wall was from the vending machine. Carlos went back to his desk and sat down. He started up his computer and opened up Firefox. As he put his feet up, he accidentally pushed a button that locked down the entire facility. He felt it, and quickly got up out of his seat. As he went to push the button again, someone flew through his door. There, standing on the other side, was a man in a mask. He threw a hatchet at Carlos, slicing his head off. Mask went to pick up his weapon, stepping on the two janitors.

The receptionist picked up the phone. Silence. "I better page Carlos." She picked up the intercom microphone, but there was a line in use.

Over the intercom, a demonic voice said "I bet you are all wondering why the facility shut down. I know your fears, and I plan on making them happen. You are all going to die from fright. Let the fun begin."

Nikki stood in his spot, frozen. He was just outside the door to the autopsy room when he heard the announcement. He was shocked to find out what's going to happen. He took a deep breath and entered the room. "Joey? Are you in here?" The room was empty. Nikki started to look around, checking every single body drawer. When he got to the last one, he struggled to open it. He pulled with all his might, and fell backwards when the door opened. Joey's frozen body fell out onto the ground. "Holy shit!" There was nothing he could do. Valerie came into the room with another body and saw Joey.

"Oh, my God! Joey!" She rushed over to his body. His neck was covered in blood and there was a large, deep cut on the side of his neck.

"Val, he's dead! There's nothing we can do! Get off of him!" Nikki told her as he pulled her away from Joey's corpse.

"NO! JOEY! THIS CAN'T HAPPEN! JOEY!" Nikki dragged her out into the hallway. Valerie was bawling her eyes out.

"Val, stop crying! He's dead! There was nothing we could've done!" She kept on crying and crying. "I'll get you some tissues, then," Nikki told her, and left. Valerie was unable to stop crying.

Nikki ran into the bathroom, where he saw something on the mirror. Written in blood was: "YOU CANNOT ESCAPE ME. ALL OF YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!" He quickly grabbed the tissues and left. On his way out, he bumped into the receptionist.

"Oh, sorry Doctor. I didn't see you there," she said. He waved it off.

"No matter, I need to get back to Val."

"All right, go ahead." As he turned to walk away, she asked him "Have you seen Carlos recently? I can't find him."

Nikki turned around and told her "Have you checked the security office? I usually find him there." He turned around and continued his way.

When she got to the security office, she sensed something was wrong. Not just because the door was broken, but because it was unusually quiet. Upon entering, she saw that the floor was covered in bodies and blood. She tried to scream, but couldn't. She felt a pain on her back, travelling up to her head. Suddenly, she split apart, each half going a different direction. Mask stood where she used to be, a large, sharp metal object in hand. He threw it onto the floor, between each half of the receptionist.

Nikki got back to Valerie, but it was too late. Her eyes were shriveled up; her shirt was soaked with tears. She cried herself to death. Nikki backed up, and turned around to head back to the break room. On his way, blood was all over the hallways, bodies were on the floor.

When he got into the break room, he saw a list written on the chalkboard. The list read:

Carlos: Caught watching porn

Joey: locked inside a room

Valerie: death of a loved one

Deborah: blood

Nikki: any kind of heat

Find and kill all soviet representatives!

Nikki stared at his name and fear. How did he know that my fear was fucking fires? I never told anyone. Just then, the door broke open, Mask holding a crowbar.

"I'm back, bitch. Time to fry." Mask held up matches. Nikki backed up into a corner. As Mask came closer, Nikki took the coffee pot and threw it at him. The pot exploded into tiny shards of glass, impaling Mask. It didn't affect him. Nikki then tried to jump out the window, but the window didn't open. Mask just stood there, confused. Nikki finally tried tackling Mask, which worked. Mask dropped the matches. As he got up, Nikki closed the door and ran to the parking garage.

Nikki entered the parking garage, passing George, the parking attendant. "George, open the door!" Nikki ordered him.

"I can't. It's stuck." Nikki didn't hear him as he got into his own car. As he attempted to start it up, he saw Mask grab George and thrown him into a car's engine. Mask then closed the hood as far as it would go. Then, he started up the car and shifted it into drive. Mask found a cinder block and placed it onto the gas pedal. The car sped away, crashing into the garage door and creating a hole. Nikki saw this as an opportunity to fire up his car and drive through it. Before he could shift into drive, Mask broke his car window and tried to pull him out. Nikki stepped onto the gas and drove out, Mask still on the car. Nikki got through the hole, but Mask was knocked off by the garage door. Nikki was able to escape, but knew that he had to warn his other friends about him.

When Nikki got into town, Dmitri was waiting for him.

"Well, didn't I tell you?" Dmitri asked him.

"Oh, yeah. He's still alive. He nearly killed me. We need to warn everyone." He looked over at Dmitri's son and his girlfriend. "So that's Cassie?" He asked Dmitri. "She's actually pretty for once."
