Chapter Three: Hide and Seek

"Alistri!" called Legolas. The injured elf had slipped out of her room while he wasn't looking. He couldn't really blame her; it had to be pretty boring. A flash of green-Alistri-caught his eye. How she managed run so fast with a sprained ankle, as well as countless small cuts and bruises, he had no idea. "Alistri, get back here!"

Then, a flash of red came out of nowhere, tackling the green blur that was Alistri. Tauriel stood up, grasping her rather sheepish-looking sister by the arm. "Thanks, Tauriel,"said Legolas. "It feels like I've chased her halfway across Mirkwood, she was evading me that well."

"I was just bored," said Alistri. "I wanted to do something other than lay around."

"Well then do something other than lay around in your room," replied Tauriel.

"Just because I only have one eye now doesn't mean I'll get hurt!"

"It's not your eye, Alistri. Your ankle will never heal if you keep running around like that, and I'm worried that you'll tear open one of your scratches and maybe even make it worse," Legolas put in.

"Fine. But as soon as my ankle heals, I'm going to run to the edge of the woods and back."

"Fine with me,"replied Tauriel, speaking for both herself and Legolas, "But right now, you're going back to bed."
