Mimi and Zoey met covertly at the vice-president's home. Secret Service let Mimi in, but seemed unhappy about her being here.

Mimi: Is everything okay?
Zoey: No. I'm pregnant. I'm scared.
Mimi: I understand. Have you decided what to do about this?
Zoey: I can't bring a child into this world. She'll starve or freeze to death in less than three years. But I don't know if I can actually go through with an abortion.
Mimi: You called it "She."
Zoey: I believe it's a girl. I could be wrong, but I can't call my baby "it." Can I ask you something personal?
Mimi: Sure.
Zoey: If you had known about the asteroid four years ago, would you have given birth to Rebecca?
Mimi: I love my daughter more than anything. She's been worth every insult and temper tantrum. But I fear what will happen to her now. So, to answer your question, I don't know. A part of me is still angry with my father for not telling me.

Zoey and Mimi talked for over an hour, still uncertain what to do. Than Jed came. He was angry to see his traitor of a sister here.

Jed: What the hell is she doing here?
Zoey: I needed to see her.
Mimi: I'm sorry. You two have things to discuss, I should go.
Zoey: No. Jed, Mimi is my best friend, and she's gone through this before. Mimi, Jed is the man I love, and the father of this baby. I still don't know what I am going to do, I just know that I need both of you right now. So please, put aside your differences and let's talk.
