Hello again!

Welcome to the second chapter! Thank you so so so much to everyone who read the first!

On a completely unrelated note, today I discovered that not only are Escape the Fate and Falling in Reverse not the same band, but that they are also both quite good. See? I learn when I'm not in school.

New Characters:

Blond guy: Germania

Peter Kirkland II: Sealand

Vladimir: Romania

"Feli, I know you're up there." Elizabeta stood at the bass of a tree with a very large trunk. "Please come down."

Feliciano didn't answer her. He leaned back on the tree, having no intention of coming down, at least not for awhile.

He heard Elizabeta sigh. "I'm coming up there." A few seconds later she was on the branch and they were once again in a situation very similar to the one they had been in before breakfast. "I'll never understand your insistence of spending so much time in high places. You're like a little monkey. It's weird."

Feliciano knew she was trying to make him smile. Normally, he'd at least fake it to keep her from worrying, but that got difficult fast and he just didn't have the energy to keep it up long enough for her to go away. He loved Elizabeta, of course, but sometimes he wished she would just stop worrying about him and worry about herself.

Elizabeta's frown deepened when Feliciano didn't smile. She should have known he was lying when he said he was dealing with Henry's death. "Okay, I know you don't like it when we mention things that relate to his death," The girl said, "but you need to do something to try to manage. One day, you won't be able to just run away from everything."

Hurt flashes in Feliciano's eyes, but she kept talking.

"I'm going to go get fish." She decided. "And you're going to come with me. Don't try to argue, I won't change my mind."

And with that, Feliciano's plans for the day were made for him.

"I can't believe they have this many chickens." Elizabeta said in amazement. "We never have this many!"

"That would be because you keep them all as pets." Feliciano said, but he too was surprised by how many the shopkeeper had managed to raise.

Elizabeta glanced at Feliciano and, seeing that he seemed happier, broke into a huge smile. "See? This is fun." She tuned back to where the shopkeeper was packing a few fish for them. "Thank you, sir!" She said cheerfully as he handed them to her. She payed, and then she and Feliciano returned to the over crowded street.

Horses, women, men, and children walked all over, talking and laughing. It was the picture perfect image of what a happy society should look like.

But when he looked closer, Feliciano noticed something wrong. At the gates to the town, there was man on a dark black horse talking to one of the townspeople. The man had long blond hair and a stern facial expression. He was wearing light grey armour and holding a very official-looking scroll.

Feliciano grabbed Elizabeta's sleeve. "Eliza, do you know who that is?"

She looked over at the horseman and shook her head. "I've never seen him before."

The two watched as he rode his horse to the centre of the street. He unrolled the scroll and cleared his throat. Slowly, the happy chatter faded to silence. A fairly large crowd had gathered around the blond and his horse. Elizabeta had to stand on her toes to see over the crowd; Feliciano couldn't see at all.

"As ordered by his majesty, King Peter Kirkland II," the man read from his scroll, "one male from every family in this town must enlist in the Royal Army in order to fight against Lord Vladimir and his troops. All enlisting will be required to report for training in two days. Any absences will be considered treason and will face harsh consequences."

Feliciano didn't know what he said after that, because Elizabeta had grabbed his arm and pulled him away. Catching a glimpse at her face, Feliciano was shocked. He had never seen her look so furious and worried simultaneously. To anyone who didn't know Elizabeta, it would have been terrifying.

"We need to get back home." She said, her grip on the packed fish extremely tight. "Uncle Marcus needs to be made aware of this."

"Eliza, who will go?" Feliciano asked. "Henry would have had to go and he's..."

"I don't know, Feli." Elizabeta said grimly. "We just have to try to figure it out. And soon."

Yep, Sealand's king. He seemed perfect for the role.

I meant to say this last chapter, but I forgot so I'll just do it now. If anyone has any characters they would like to see play a large role here, please leave a reveiw letting me know who. I already have roles planned for Germany and Romano, but no one else has been fully decided yet.

Thanks again for reading! See you next chapter!
