ONTO THE STORY!

"That thing is fucking half made!" Kent yelled at Arvo in anger.

We had finally reached the place Arvo was taking us. What can he said has been true, the place was a basically a pile of toothpicks that looked like it could be blown away by the big bad wolf and obviously was still under construction when the apocalypse hits. But that hadn't bothered me. At this young age I have already learned that looks can be deceiving. This thing that may look like it's not even worth checking out something valuable in it and it may even have something that could save our lives. But there was one problem.

I knitted my eyebrows in confusion and looked to our path there, "Is it safe to cross?"

"It looks thin..." Nick commented, sharing my worry.

There was a lake standing between us and that house. It had been frozen over, but it didn't look like that ice could hold.

Bonnie bit her bottom lip, "I think it could hold us as long as we don't clump together."

"It's the only way, it would be a bad idea to turn back and go around," Luke said. He looked at me, noticing my unsure expression. He nodded his head slightly, "It's alright."

Not many more words were spoken before we all slowly placed our feet on the ice. Individually, of course. Arvo went first (group wanted to make sure he was true to his word about it being safe) with Kenny not far behind. Nick walked on next, watching where his feet were as he began to go forward. Then Mike. Then Bonnie. Myself. Luke. I shivered lightly as I thought of how cold the water underneath us must me. I hope to never find out. I was about in the middle of the ice when I heard a crack. I looked down to see one underneath my feet.

"It's alright," Luke's voice came from behind, "Just be carful and keep going."

I nodded, more for myself then the man who had just called to me. I heard the faint sound of growling and turned slightly to see walkers coming from behind us. A walker snuck up from behind Kenny on the way here, they mustve been attracted from that. Two were close together while they stepped on the lake and fell through. I wonder if the water is cold enough to freeze their brains. Wouldn't that be something?

Crack.

I heard another split the ice and I froze. Heart beating horribly fast. I considered looking down, but I was to scared to. I would probably find that my feet were ready to break the barrier between the water and I. I gulped

Crack

There was another one. I closed my eyes while I pointed my head to the ground. Very slowly and a lot more hesitantly, I opened my orbs to find... Nothing. The ice underneath me was clear as day.

Crack

Then where is it coming from? Curiosity got the better of me as I turned to look around. I found the source. Luke was behind us, eyes wide as he looked underneath himself and saw the cracks. Bonnie turned around to, seeing the sight and scared herself. I myself was fearing what was about to come next. I moved around just to face my whole body to him. Bonnie did the same, but started to inch closer to him.

"Don't come over here!" He warned, noticing the movements, "Just stay over there."

Bonnie nervously looked at the cracked ice underneath her friends feet, "Are you sure?"

"Yeah," he nodded, "Yeah I just need to be careful."

Most everyone's head were turned at this point. But Bonnie and I were the closest. Luke slowly took another step forward. A sound of surprise escaped his lips when the ice broke and his leg plunged into the icy water. Bonnie and I both dashed across the ice to get closer to him, but he held up one of his hands in protest (Which stopped us).

"LUKE!" I heard Nick's scared voice shout from behind, "LUKE, YOU ALRIGHT?"

"Luke!" Bonnie also yelled out to him, "Look, you're going to fall in!"

"Don't come near me!" Luke warned, his eyes bigger then ever and a slight shiver in his voice.

"Luke, you need help!" I said, concerned for him.

Before he could reply, more walker sounds were filling the air. We all looked behind Luke to see some had spread around on the ice. They were nearing him, there jaws moving up and down as if expecting something to be between their rotten teeth. The shouting we were doing wasn't helping, that much I was sure of. Bonnie looked at the undead creatures before turning back at me.

"Go help him," Bonnie softly demanded, her eyes silently pleading.

"What?!" Luke panicked, "No! Clem, Clem look at me!"

I obeyed and quickly flashed my big, golden eyes at him.

"Don't come over here," He repeated, "Just... Just get your gun out and shoot those damn walkers behind me!"

"Clem, I'll get them," Bonnie answered for me, pulling out her own gun and taking a shot at the walkers. SHe hit one in the forehead before saying, "Just go for him!"

"Clem, I can get myself out of this! Just kill those things!" He almost sounded angry at this point.

Bonnie argued back, "Clem, you can get to him! Please! You're light!"

"Quit telling her that!"

"Clem," She said my name again while taking another shot, "You can do it. But you have to go NOW!"

I looked between the two, unsure of what I should do. I looked at the ice underneath Luke. He was injured, so it would be harder for him to get up himself. But I would just be adding more weight and even if I could get to him, I don't think I'd have enough strength to pull him back. I wouldn't be much help. I looked at the approaching walkers. They were getting even closer (Even though some were now dead, thanks to Bonnie). And Luke would now what's best for him in this situation.

I pulled out my gun, "Luke, hurry up! I don't want to waste bullets!"

"What are you doing?!" Bonnie almost scolded after taking another shot.

After seeing that I wasn't going back for him, Bonnie tucked her gun back in her jeans and started walking toward him herself. She cautiously walked closer. She kept her eyes on the ice while doing so.

"Bonnie, what are you doing?!" Luke shouted at her, "Bonnie, turn back!"

"Shut up!" She crept closer, extending her hand out to him, "You need help!"

"Please, just go back!" He ordered even though he reached his hand out as well. He almost sounded near tears, but I couldn't tell.

Bonnie reached a little further, "It's alright. I got y-"

That was the last thing Bonnie said before they both fell through. I took another shot at the walkers before looking down at the ice, hoping to see one of them. But nothing, not a sight of red hair or orange shirt. I cursed under my breath and began panicking, assuming the worse. I noticed Nick do that same thing (Even though we both new they couldn't possibly be over there) I felt so worried for my two friends, so you can imagine how relieved I felt when I heard pounding on the ice underneath us.

Hope made my heart beat faster as I went over to where the sound was being made. I looked down t see Luke was desperately banging on it, trying to get someone's attention. Without thinking, I turned my guin around and forced the but of it on the ice. I hit it with all my strength.

"CLEM! STOP!" I heard Kenny yell, probably fearing for my safety.

But I didn't care. I forced the metal on the ice once more. I ignored the protests that came from behind me. Luke eyes were rolling inside his head, suggesting he was running out of air. Bonnie was till nowhere to be seen. I hit the ice again, tears stinging my eyes, afraid that Luke would die. Another hit, adding to the collection of cracks on the ice. Luke began sinking. I let out a scream before hitting the ice one more.

And I fell through.

The coldness hit me like hundreds of needled piercing my skin. My mouth was filled with water since it was open when I fell in. The water made my body turn, and I saw Luke there. He wasn't moving, wasn't breathing, he wasn't doing anything. I felt my heart drop. If I wasn't in water, I probably would've cried. Luke was dead. But I couldn't be focused on that right now. My lungs were begging for air and my heart sped up from lack of. I looked up at the ice, seeing the hole that was made when I fell through. Sadly leaving Luke where he was, I began swimming to the top. But it was hard, my clothes were now heavier and I was running out of time. I was nearly to the top when I felt my world go black.

Nicks POV

"CLEM!" I yelled down at water once more, hoping my voice would reach her ears and would lead her back up to the surface.

I nearly jumped for joy when I saw her grey long sleeved shirt and signature hat. I put on of my arms into the water and grabbed her. I held her in both my arms, positioning her bridal style and using one of my hands her press her head close to my chest. I heard Bonnie lift herself out of the lake and cough water up as I stood up and started running toward the house, if you could even call it that. I tried to ignore the fact that I was leaving my best friend to drown, assuming he wasn't dead already. I tried to ignore the fact Clem wasn't moving.

While running, I kept my head pointed at her unconscious figure and whispered, "It's gonna be alright," And, "I got you," Multiple times, even though I knew these words were to comfort me more then her. I barely heard Kenny yelling at Arvo as pushing him towards the house because I was so worried for my Clementine.

I wasted no time to barge through the door and set her somewhere safe.

"Clem," I spoke to her, hoping to get a response. When none came, I began shaking her violently, "CLEMENTINE!"

"Man, move!" Mike ordered from me, "I know CPR, let me try."

I gave a slight nod, hesitantly moving away with a teary eye. Bonnie entered, shivering. I heard Kenny march back and forth around the floor as Mike got to work on helping Clem, counting under his breath while doing so.

"Is she alright?!" Kenny asked urgently.

Mike kept his eyes on the little girl, "Just calm down and give me a moment."

As I watched Mike press her chest repeatedly, I held one of her smaller hands in my own and kept talking to her, "Clem, c'mon now baby girl, you can do it."

Kenny kept marching around, his footsteps getting louder and louder as time went by and his anger rose. With visibly gritted teeth, he went right up to Arvo, "THIS IS ALL YOUR FUCKING FAULT!"

Arvo's hands balled into fists through his bindings as he bravely looked up at the older man with no fear, "Fuck. You."

"What did you say to me?!" Kenny demanded to know, even though he had heard the Russian clear as day.

"Fuck... you," He repeated, as confidently as he had before.

Without a moments hesitation, Kenny punched the teen in the face out of anger. He hit the floor, a quiet 'thud' following after him. Mike yelled at Kenny to stop as he grabbed his purple jacket and punched him more. But Mike was to concerned with helping Clem. Bonnie yelled at him too, but had been to weak to do anything, and I was just to worried for my girl. I heard the punches land time after time and the painful howls that left Arvo's lips. I took a look at the sight of it. It reminded me so much of what Carver had done to me.

"KENNY, STOP!" Mike yelled.

Before another word could be said, Clementine suddenly sprang up and coughed water out of her lungs.

Clems POV

I held a hand to my throat and kept coughing as much as I could. I felt myself be embraced into Nicks arms while my figure shivered and I snuggled my face into my guardians chest. Through blurry vision, I saw Kenny whacking on what I assumed was Arvo, since Mike was right by us and Bonnie was laying on the floor. I tried to push myself a bit away from Nick, to try and stop Kenny from what he was doing. But I could barley move myself. Too tried and weak to do what was needed.

"Kenny!" I heard Mike, "That's enough!"

I looked back to see Mike pull Kenny from the boy, but Arvo still laid motionless on the wooden floor. Kenny's fist now painted red. I connected two and two together. Arvo was dead. I would've had a reaction, but my eyes closed unwillingly and I drifted of to sleep.

RIP Luke

I hope you enjoyed. Drank a lot of coffee before writing this, so if it seems rushed please tell me so.

Thanks for reading! Please review! helps a lot

Last thing: If you did as I have asked last chapter, you would've discovered that I am in the process of planning a sequel to this story. I am need of OC's. But I need mostly bad guys. Only three good people, the rest need to be bad. I don't know how many I will be accepting total. And when I say bad, I mean kinda like carver. They're accepting of a code. Please leave one in the reviews if you would like. AND I need you to be okay with the possibility of them being killed... it is the walking dead after all

BATMAN OUT ;)
