"So you're a comedian?" Alex said. "You do make me laugh."

We were inside the nearest Starbucks, a crowded place full of Christmas shoppers and couples on dates. It took me a while to realise that we were kind of a couple. That thought sent shivers down my spine.

"I'm still in uni," Alex went on. "Not too young for you?"

"No way," I said. "What are you studying?"

"Sport mostly. It's great at the university, everyone knows each other and every night we rush through our work as quickly as we can and spend the rest of the night mucking about. We have parties, like, every week, sometimes more. Me, April, Jordan, Cooper…and don't even get me started on Sean!"

I bit my lip.

"Sean? Is he…your boyfriend?"

"No, but he wishes he was!"

I breathed out.

"He's just this creep who always flirts with me. You should come sometime, put him in his place."

"So…are we an item?" I dared to ask.

"Looks like it doesn't it?" Alex declared with a smile. "So, I've told you about me, what about you? Where do you live? What do you get up to?"

"I don't live with my family; I live in this Theatre, with all the guys I work with."

"You work in a group?"

"Yeah, we're called the Muppets, we're really close and we get up to mad adventures."

"Really?"

"You bet. Last year, we got tangled in the crime of the century and Kermit, my boss slash best friend, got replaced by a criminal mastermind and chucked in a Russian prison."

"Wow."

"Yeah, we never escape adventure. The first time I met him, he was running away from this evil guy who wanted to turn him into frog's legs. Oh, did I forget to mention he's a frog?"

"Can I meet them?"

"Sure!"

"Now?"

"I guess so."

I downed the rest of my coffee and got to my feet.

"You will love it, promise me," I said.

Wow, that chapter was kind of crummy! I'm hoping it'll get better soon.
