Author's Note: Most of this got deleted and I had to rewrite it. *grumble grumble* I finally got around to having Leah and my character hook up, and my stupid outlet had to randomly turn off and lose all that I had written.
Graaaawrarwera;sdlfgjkil;dfrgjldfrgjl;fj;.
Honestly, if I hadn't lost all of that data, I probably would have had this chapter up before Christmas. I know I don't update as often as you guys (and myself) would like, but I love reviews! I've had a lot of fun with this story and trying out different ideas/scenarios, I'd love to hear what you guys think of them!
On a completely different note: I'm starting up another fanfic for Emily Young, but it's going to be very light hearted and the chapters much shorter. If you're bored or you just like my writing, I recommend checking it out. :)

Chapter 5
The Wanderer
Something soft and squishy was in her hand.
She softly squeezed the fleshy substance in her hand. A feminine moan drifted from it.
A smile tugged at her lips.
An eye peeked open to see who her recent lover was, and the familiar butterflies fluttered through her. Endorphins kicked in and happiness filled her being.
It had finally happened!
The red light from the curtain made the beauty even more entrancing. The curvature of her muscles, breasts, and smooth face glowed in the soft light like an angel.
Kila leaned over and placed a kiss on her soft shoulder, and then wrapped her arms around her. She cuddled close to her naked form, letting their warm skin mesh together and amplify their heat. The thin, silky sheet was covering only half of their bodies. Kila rested her top leg between the other woman's, not putting too much weight on her but just enough to satisfy her longing to cover every inch of her.
Memories of the night before drifted back to her. The candles and incense, the spontaneity of Leah's kiss when she walked in the door, and most of all, when Kila growled in lust and devoured her in ways that had Leah quivering in delight. The screams of pleasure and satisfaction were echoing in her mind.
Still, she had no idea what changed the woman's mind about flirting with her, but she didn't question it. She didn't want to jinx it. Sex was as casual as a handshake to werewolf, but much, much more satisfying. Even though she acknowledged that sex was a much more intimate and awkward topic for other people, she gave up trying to relate to it a long time ago.
The angel's eyes slowly fluttered open, and although at first she seemed content staring at the ceiling, a hint of confusion began plaguing her expression.
She slowly looked down, and at the sight of her naked form, a blush ran across her cheeks. "Oh… sorry." She mumbled, and moved to leave the warmth of Kila's arms.
The tall, masculine woman looked around the small room for her clothes, bouncing from foot to foot along the way, and after managing to find her shirt, opened the door and left.
The cold air nipped at Kila's naked form, laying there on her now empty bed.
She turned onto her back and stared at the ceiling for a moment, contemplating the situation. "Eh. Oh well." She muttered with a flippant shrug.
The happiness from last night's encounter still coursed through her veins, and at least for a while, she was satisfied and happy. For the first time in centuries, the weight on her chest was gone.
The scent of the vanilla moisturizer, mixed with a bit of pomegranate, lingered in the air and in the sheets. For a brief moment she contemplated never washing these sheets again.
1.
"So I heard that Jacob woke up buck naked in the woods last night." Emily spoke that morning, pouring herself a bowl of fruit loops. Kila, half paying attention, chuckled as she made them both some coffee.
"Oh?"
"Yeah, apparently he and Leah took some Molly last night and it caused them to black out. Did Leah do anything while you were here last night?" Emily asked, and thanked her for the coffee. "Don't think I haven't noticed that smile on your face."
The woman, clad in her typical boxers and wife beater shirt, sat down looking peaceful and happy. She poured herself some cereal, and after a moment, finally answered when the young woman had a spoon of cereal in her mouth. "We had sex."
She coughed, spraying the table (and a little of Kila's face) with milk and fruit loop chunks. "You WHAT?!"
"It's no big deal. If she blacked out, I doubt she'll remember any of it. She may feel pretty happy for the next few days, though." She said with a cocky smirk, and enjoying the terrified expression her friend's face. Her jaw slack, her good eye open in terror, and eyebrows causing her scars to wrinkle up.
"You took advantage of her?!"
"Hey, I didn't know she was drugged. She appeared sober enough when she was making out with me. And who am I to say no to a woman in need?"
"She's going to be horrified! This ruins any chance you had at getting together with her, and proves SO many stereotypes about gay people!"
"Woah, woah, woah, slow down girl," Kila hushed, setting down her coffee to fully address the situation. "Again, I had no idea she was drugged. Secondly, this happens to straight people more often than it does to gay people. Believe me, I've heard more horror stories of men raping drugged up women than gay men or gay women raping the same gender. I mean, obviously it happens, but not as often. Anyway, what number was I on? Three! Thirdly, it's not going to ruin anything if someone doesn't tell her." She said, now eyeing the young girl.
"I can't keep anything from Leah! She's like a sister to me! Why did you tell me if you didn't want me to blab it to her?"
"… that's a good question, actually." She replied, and put her elbow on the table and her chin on her hand as she contemplated that question. Her eyes locked with the window as she peered outside. "I'm pretty sure I had a good reason for telling you… eh." She said with a shrug. "Fuck it. I'm so ecstatic from last night I'll probably be blurting out stupid things for days. I haven't had that good of sex in hundreds of years." She admitted, a stupid grin on her face.
"She was so close to asking you out… now you've ruined it."
"I don't think it will. I mean, she came to me for a reason." She explained, going back to her coffee. "She set up candles, incense, romantic music… even in her blacked out state, she planned the event. Somewhere inside her, she remembers me."
"I know you want her to be the reincarnation of your love, but… that's…"
"I know, I know. It's a stupid dream, but in my old age, dreams are all that I have."
2.
A deranged howl pierced the night and caused Kila to awake from her sleep.
A scream.
The shattering of glass.
The werewolf jumped from her bed and ran down the stairs, the cold floor chilling her feet.
"Emily, Leah!?" She yelled, and heard Emily's voice from her room on the second floor. Nothing came from Leah's room.
Another scream and the tearing of cloth met her ears, and Kila rounded the corner at the bottom of the stairs. Large red eyes met hers, and a growl ripped through her chest at the intruder.
"Kila, run! I'll take care of this ass hole!"
"NO! Run! Go to your room and hide until-" Kila ordered, but the words fell on deaf ears as the young woman transformed into her wolf form anyway and jumped at the black-furred fiend.
Leah, she knew, was the fastest of her pack, but that didn't compare to the strength and power of this animal. It easily dodged Leah's claws and bit into her neck.
If Kila hadn't transformed so quickly and torn its tail off, it probably would have broken the woman's neck.
It howled in pain at the loss of the limb, and as it tried to high tail it out of the situation, Kila followed it.
The creature had no means of escape, especially with the blood loss. She could track it anywhere it went, and with her vast knowledge and experience in fighting other wolves, easily broke its neck within a minute.
The shapeshifters quickly ran to Emily's house, and the werewolf could hear them taking care of her.
She could also hear a pack of werewolves surrounding her in the woods.
They growled at the killer of their comrade. Kila crouched low, broken body next to her, and growled back at the enemies.
At first it was only 3, but then more began circling her, and the number quadrupled to 12.
The shapeshifters had been ordered to avoid engaging in battle with werewolves, since the last encounter with them was proven to be lethal. Kila was on her own for this battle.
'You hurt my Leah,' the werewolf thought angrily, and lunged.
3.
After her victory and slaughter of the werewolves, she howled loudly into the night sky for all to hear.
The stench of blood filled most of the forest, and the carcasses of wolves were strewn about like confetti. None were left alive.
Darkness still blanketed the night, and clouds shrouded the sky. Fitting the mood, thunder and lightning pierced the night and caused everything in it to hide.
She howled again, ignoring her injuries and further warning any other wolves in the area of her strength and power. Only challenge me if you wish for an agonizing and painful death. The wolf sang, and after some five minutes, quieted down into a low growl.
After circling the area for any other wolves, and keeping her ear out for shapeshifters in trouble, she finally decided to return to Emily's home. When she neared the shapeshifting perimeter, she barked 3 times, informing them of her presence.
She was greeted by Jacob, a wolf that looked similar to herself, minus the red eyes. He had large brown eyes that, upon seeing her, softened into a pout.
He made a high pitched whine, trying to voice his concerns for her injuries.
She snorted, but continued limping towards the house.
He came to her side and pressed against her, letting her lean against him as she walked.
Although the couch was torn and not completely together, it was just enough of a bed for Leah to lay bleeding on. Towels were pressed against her injuries and soaking up fast. Her eyes were closed, and one of the shapeshifters informed her that she passed out some time ago from the pain.
When the woman's hand dangled from the side of the bed, Kila hobbled over to her and nudged it with her nose.
Although bleeding profusely, she lay at her side, still in her wolf form. Whenever anyone tried to help her injuries, she snarled and growled low, causing them to retreat.
Even Emily, when she neared with a wash cloth, was growled at.
3.
"Kila, Leah's injury is healing, while yours is still severe. You need to let me treat you." He told the large, terrifying wolf. It was 9 AM by now, 5 hours after the attack, and she was still bleeding.
Large, red, tired yet lethal eyes locked eyes with his. They were crazed, like an animal's, and he dared not get too close without her permission.
"Kila, my name is Edward," A new vampire greeted while approaching her. His hands were in the air, and he moved very slowly. There were only a few people in the room; aside from the injured it included Jacob, Carlisle, Edward, and Sam. None of the humans were allowed to be there, considering the watch dog at Leah's side. When she growled again, Edward stopped moving.
"I can read your mind, Kila. I know that you're just concerned for Leah's safety."
She growled again, low and deep sounds reverberating in her chest, and her large blood thirsty eyes locked with his golden ones. Her growl had slowly been changing over the past few hours, slowly turning into a broken reverberating sound.
"I know that you're strong. I know that you could easily kill me. I have no intention of harming you or anyone else here." He stated softly. "We only want to help you. I don't know who Lati is-"
At the mention of her name she snapped at him, and tried to stand, but fell back down. Her arm and leg were on the verge of falling off, barely held together by tendons, and were useless. She only managed to reach the house by sheer willpower, and when she lay next to Leah, many of her remaining muscles tore.
Even against the pain she growled angrily, jaw clenched and eyes still locked with his.
"You could easily use your remaining limbs to leap at me and break my head off, and then turn and do the same to the rest of us. I don't doubt that. I've heard legends of your power from many people over the years. But if we do actually get attacked by any remaining werewolves, what use are you going to be with two limbs and your allies dead? You're not thousands of years old for being stupid."
Her breathing was labored, and had been for some time. Her heart was beating miles a minute, and they all knew that the strain was going to kill her if she didn't calm down.
"We've done all that we can for Leah. You're our only true defense against future attacks. You know how to fight them, and you're immune to their poison. Even my family and I don't know how to fight werewolves as well as you."
She snorted, agreeing with him.
He knew that she had a big ego, and catered to it as much as possible. "You have saved this village time after time again, and the shapeshifters here are indebted to you. They just want to help you, and would never do anything to hurt you. You saved them from being slaughtered last night."
Her eyes briefly closed.
"You're in so much pain. Please let us help you."
She opened her eyes again, her breathing now had a slight hitch.
"No, you can stay in your wolf form. I'll help you communicate."
5.
Since vampires are immune to the effects of werewolf venom, Jacob asked that the Cullen coven stay with them until the rest of the werewolf pack were killed. That invite was also extended to Bella, the woman currently being sought after by Edward and Jacob.
The boy that was first attacked was finally starting to recover, but he was still bed ridden and weak. Carlisle surmised that the same would likely happen to Leah.
Leah was moved to the guest room on the second floor. Her mother had requested that she be moved back to her house, but until she was better Carlisle didn't want to risk moving her.
About two days later, once most of her two limbs were healed (not just dangling by a thread) Kila returned to her human form and stayed by Leah's side.
"Stupid women." She grunted one evening, thinking of the parallels between Lati and Leah. "I told you not to do one goddamn thing, and what do you do? That goddamn thing." Her eyes stayed locked on the sleeping woman, memories of their recent night together swimming through her mind.
The werewolf sat there, her dark eyes half open as she slumped in the uncomfortable chair. Her arm was in a sling and her leg was kept together by a large, annoying cast.
1.
"I remember that night." Leah spoke one day, looking at the tired werewolf sitting next to her.
Kila awoke with a startle, jumping in her seat and looking around for an intruder.
"I remember setting up the candle, and incense," She continued, and Kila stopped moving. "I remember kissing you… and more."
"Do you hate me?" Kila asked, her voice weak and heart racing. The bags under her eyes pulled her lids down, but she kept her gaze locked on the weak shapeshifter laying in bed. The adrenaline pumping in her veins made her hands tremble.
"No… I think I like you more than I thought I did." She whispered, and eyes closed again.
The woman drifted off to sleep, leaving the startled and concerned werewolf sitting there.
The young girl was just laying there, weak and helpless, barely breathing. She reminded the werewolf of a dying animal. Her hair, now a few inches long, stuck out in different directions. Her tan skin contrasted with the white sheet.
A knock came from the door, and her mother and brother entered the small room. "Seth thought he heard her say something?!" Leah's mother asked, and sat on the edge of the bed next to her daughter. "How is she doing?"
"She'll be fine. She's strong." Kila replied, and stood up. She locked eyes with Seth. "Watch her. I'm going to go for a walk." The werewolf stated, and he nodded. As she began to walk, her cast hitting the ground loudly, he quickly grabbed her crutches and handed them to her.
"You might need these."
"… thanks." She replied, but kept her head down.
2.
The memories plagued her mind as she wandered the forest. The screams echoed from the recesses of her mind, the begging of mercy from dead souls, the blood from innocent children that would never be washed away from her hands. The feeling of breaking someone's neck by crunching down on their spine.
Guilt stabbed at her chest.
Death is a constant companion of hers. Why does she bother with love?
A sudden hunger racked through her body, and she gasped as she gripped her stomach. As she fell forward, her crutches also fell.
Her eyes were dry and stung painfully, her limbs wracked and shook within her flesh.
Food. A forgotten voice whispered in the back of her mind. Aren't you hungry?
"No."
She clutched her midsection harder, digging her nails into the fabric of her shirt.
Aren't you tired?
"I can't fall asleep. Every time I fall asleep, something bad happens. I can't fall asleep." She repeated, beginning to gasp for breath.
Yes… you can.
Her forehead rested against the cool, wet ground. Small twigs stuck to her damp skin.
When her eyes opened, a deep shade of red replaced the dark brown ones.
"Attention, passengers. We will be arriving in Cairo, Egypt in approximately 20 minutes. Please fasten your seatbelts."
