Hans entered the Council Chamber, but didn't know what to think. All of his brothers had smiles on their faces. He wondered what the joke was. He was about to find out.
"Hans," started Lukens, "You made a convincing argument about being so far from a crown, that we decided to give you one."
Hans eagerly expected that he would get Eurus and Zephyrus, so he was paying rapt attention.
"We have a parchment here, sealed by my hand, appointing you as King of Notos. You leave tomorrow to assume your kingship."
Hans' heart filled with embarrassment and rage, as he was led out of the Chambers accompanied by the laughter of his brothers. NOTOS? That speck of nothing at the southern most part of the Southern Isles? He had visited the island once, when he was five, with his brothers. It was an island of fishermen, no more than 30, with some subsistence farms. It didn't need a king! It needed a tidal wave to wipe it off the face of the earth!
Notos was so far south, that it was one day's journey from the closest of the Southern Isles to get to.

As he came into sight of the island, Hans took out a spyglass to see what had changed in sixteen years. The answer was nothing. It was still an island of fishermen and subsistence farms. He resigned himself to his fate, but would look for any opportunity to even the score with his brothers, as well as with Arendelle! If it wasn't for Arendelle, he wouldn't be here!
As he debarked the ship, he was met by the 'Royal Guards' to take him to his 'castle'. There were only four guards, and his castle was a two story fishing hut, with a one foot wide 'moat' around it.
"Welcome to Notos, sire!" greeted one of the Guards. "I am Dag, the Sergeant of the Imperial Guards, and these are my men, Kurt, Anton and Nils."
"Thank you Dag," stated Hans. "Tell me, do we get many ships visiting us here?"
"We get about one a month from Arcopeligos. They trade goods we can't produce, for our fish."
"I see. How many people live here?"
"50, including yourself and the guards."
Hans sighed. It wasn't much but at least he was alive. He would have ample time to plan his revenge!
