Sleep did not come easy that night for Prudence, if at all. After explaining to Daphne what had happened and what she discovered, she could only lay in bed and stare at her canopy.

She thought back over all the moments in her life that may be evidence to support what Blaise and Draco told her. She replayed every detail she could remember and fit all the pieces best she could.

It was wizard common law for all wizards and witches to choose their wand at age eleven... they did not receive it the moment they were but an embryo within their mother's stomach like she did. The shiny, black, majestic wood wand had been with her from the moment she entered the world, like another extension of herself.

Then there was all the exotic, but harsh school lessons. After her parents died when she was just a baby her grandfather took her in. She only spent three years in his care before she was already off to the Japanese country side at the age of four. Why did he send her away so young? She was only a small child...unless she were being trained and molded for bigger things, for greater purposes...?

Her next twelve to thirteen years she spent traveling from one continent to the next, living extreme lifestyles and being taught by magnificent people. She saw her grandfather only twice a year. On her birthday and on Christmas. She just thought that he wanted the absolute best for her. Her grandfather was a hard person and a man of few words, even before he became the Minister. Still, it wasn't normal what he did to her... Maybe he had to get her trained...

After she arrived at Hogwarts and spent some time around other students her age she had concluded that she was way further advanced than her peers. She tried to pay it no mind and just blend in, but it didn't make sense. Why was she even sent to Hogwarts?

She couldn't deny that her life has thus far been one long training session that included not just magical schooling, but physical training as well. She never told her friends, but she was highly proficient at dueling with wands and swords. There was something special about her and it was only beginning to become clear, she had so many questions still. Who was she suppose to ask these questions? Every time she had brought even an inkling to her grandfather he always seemed to find a way to avoid the question and steer her in another direction.

Pru gripped her wand, it was relaxing to feel the usual throb and jolt of its magic run through her. She heaved a deep breath, "Ok," she told herself, she can do this, she is meant to. Now that her mind had come to terms with who she was her brain decided to stop working. She stretched, yawned, and rolled over lazily to try to sleep.

As she drifted, it was a beautiful blonde with an amazing body and dazzling charm that popped into her mind and cracked her face into a smile. He came for her tonight and when he found her he possessed her. It was so enthralling and magical to have him against her so close, his lips over hers... and to finally not be fighting her on how he felt. He didn't say it, but she knew how she felt. He held her close to him tonight and he told her the truth, she was happy to hear her strange history come from him and not a foreign tongued teacher.

Her eyes shot open! What did he think about her being...well...whatever it is that she is? He didn't seem scared and put off... but now she did feel sort of like a freak.

Draco didn't get to go to dreamland either. He couldn't stop thinking about Pru being a Goddess and how it just made sense. She is amazing and beautiful and smart and so caring...she had to be a Goddess. He was lucky enough to be the one she kisses, to have her adore him.

A fear festered in the back of his mind that he could screw this up like he screws everything up. He couldn't let that happen, he couldn't ever let her go.

He knew that the sun was up by the time his mind had finally settled so he decided to get out of bed and get some food in his stomach. A hangover was starting to invade his body...

The birds rudely interrupted Pru's pleasant half dreams about Draco. It was obvious she would not get any real sleep so she hopped up, wrote Daphne a quick note, and left her dorm in search for sustenance. On her way out the door she stopped briefly to smile over at the boy's dorms. She hoped he ws sleeping soundly.

.

Draco drank his black coffee alone in the silent Great Hall, it was incredibly peaceful. Again, he could only sit and think about Pru and all the fantastic and brilliant things that came along with her. He had come to terms that she was probably immortal and he really didn't mind nor care. He just wanted to be with her here and now and for as long as she would let him.

.

Pru sucked in a quiet breath when she saw him sitting alone in the Great Hall. He was staring down at the table, a light smirk about his lips. Her smile spread across her own face as she took a moment to drink him in. It was always a treat to get to look at him when he wasn't paying attention, he was beautiful. His blonde hair fell limply over his eyes as he looked down and she decided immediately she wanted to run her fingers through it.

"Morning Draco." He was slightly surprised as he looked up at her, causing her grin to widen more. His stormy grey eyes caused a rush of all the precious moments she spent snogging him the night before to come back.

She was biting her lip, looking at him deeply like she has grown accustomed to doing. How was he ever suppose to have a normal conversation with her when she always looked so deliciously inviting?

"Morning," he practically purred.

Pru took a seat across from him, "And why are you up so early?"

He quirked an eyebrow at her, "Why are you up so early?"

"Real mature," she quipped while narrowing her eyes playfully. Then she shrugged her shoulders and looked at him squarely, "I've had an incredibly eventful first week..."

Draco chuckled at her dead pan, "That is a complete understatement."

"I know..." she muttered while fidgeting with a goblet on the table.

"I'm sure you had a lot to think about last night," he told her seriously but with caution.

She looked back into his eyes with a coy smirk, "Yes...and no..."

It was Draco's turn to narrow his eyes in suspicion, "Meaning...?" She shrugged her shoulders and looked away. He couldn't help but find her adorable.

"Well...I mostly thought of two things..." She was looking anywhere but his eyes, but he stayed silent to urge her to continue. "About...who I really am...and you."

Now she was looking at him directly. Merlin he admired her brazen, he licked his lips trying to bite back his smirk.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" He asked suddenly. His smirk freed itself as her face lit up.

"Of course!"

"Good, let's go."

Pru wanted to laugh out loud at his 360. She hopped to her feet to catch up with Draco who was already walking toward the door.

Draco was delighted when she caught up to him and looped her arm in his so he could escort her.

"Will you wait for me!" She scolded lightly.

He let himself smile fully as he looked down at her pouted lip. "Sorry," he told her, not sorry at all.

Draco took Prudence out through the main doors and out onto the lawns that lead down to the lake. They didn't say a word, they were just happy to be in each other's company.

Pru watched the early sun rise higher and higher for a few moments once they stilled in front of a large oak. She liked the mysterious quality that Draco had so she didn't mind asking him questions about things she knew he would never say himself, "So you don't care that I may be immortal?"

Draco turned his body toward her, no longer able to withstand the temptation of pulling her close to him.

Just like that Pru's entire body was tingling with the electricity the two of them created when touching one another. She was holding her breath as she felt her body melt into his.

He moved in close enough to kiss her but then only murmured softly over her skin, "Of course I care...don't you care that I'm...not immortal?" He felt her body stiffen in his arms.

She couldn't help it! That was the single most jarring statement he's ever said to her. All she could think about at that exact moment was being with out him...and she hated it. If she continued to live forever... and he, as a mortal had to one day die...? She couldn't bear it.

Draco was equally elated and concerned with her reaction. "Hey," he cooed lightly over her cheek, kissing it softly and rubbing her back gently, "What's wrong?"

She relaxed in his arms as the dreadful moment passed quickly, would he think her crazy if she told him what she really thought? She snaked her arms up around his neck as she lay her head on his chest, "I guess, I didn't really think about that part..." She realized he wouldn't have even asked that question if he didn't dread it as well. But it was too deep a notion for the two of them to bring to words at this time...

Draco kissed her earlobe gently, becoming increasingly more intoxicated by her scent, "It's not that hard to believe that you're a Goddess, I've thought it the moment I laid eyes on you."

She bit her lip, stifling the tiny whimper he was causing her to emit as his kisses continued along her jaw. It was surreal to be with him like this. Her eyes slipped closed as his lips grazed over her neck.

He felt like a mad man when he was alone with her. It felt practically impossible to try and stop himself from touching her and kissing her, there was no controlling the desire she stirred in him. He felt the tips of her fingers grip the back of his neck, "You're amazing..." He whispered into her skin.

Pru wanted to pant like a dog. She'd never felt so intimate with a boy. Yes, she was snogging him the night before, but they were drunk and her memories were fuzzy and muddled by her life changing conversation she had with the boys.

But this? This was magical, this was making her feel drugged.

"I think you're amazing as well," she managed to whisper into his ear a little raspy. He hummed into her skin and began kissing back up her jaw. "I mean it," she told him firmly. She sensed his doubt in her words, how could he ever think she didn't mean that?

Draco knew she meant it, but would she always? Even if she knew all of him? "I know you do," he told her huskily before slowly claiming her lips.

She loved the way his capable arms held her tight, anticipating the buckle of her knees. She could feel his strong emotion as his kissed her, his pulsing and shameless need to just have her. She thrived off of it and caressed his tongue earnestly.

He pulled away a few seconds later and pressed his forehead to hers, willing his heart rate to please slow down. Then he heard her chuckle, "I like this morning."

Pru had accepted that she would never get a thorough sit down conversation with him discussing in great detail everything that they have been through in just one week. He just wasn't the type to lay it all out like she did...but she didn't mind. She learned to read his actions. By the lovely way he was just kissing her she could assume that he was alright with her immortality. But then, from the way he only hummed when she told him he was amazing as well...? She figured he still didn't think he was good enough for her, or worthy of her puffed up grandfather. She would work on that though...because he couldn't be more wrong.

Almost two hours had passed before Draco and Pru realized that it was Monday morning and they did have classes they had to attend. They walked back toward the building hand and hand.

Inside the building all the students were now awake and busily making their ways to get food or attend class. The two walked casually inside and headed back to the Great Hall to meet their friends.

Snape glared at the two madly in love teenagers. His heart cracked for his beloved godson, it would not end good.

"Miss Scrimgeour, " he called to her lowly before she entered the Great Hall. The girl turned to him, a sickly sweet smile plastered on her pretty little face.

"Yes Professor?" She asked as she walked toward him, Draco's hand still secure in hers.

"A word please."

Then he turned promptly toward the dungeons leaving Pru no other choice but to follow. She drug Draco along with her, he didn't seem to mind.

.

Snape wasn't surprised that she brought along Draco, he didn't even address it. Once he was set at his desk he told her evenly, "Professor Dumbledore wants to schedule another healing session for this evening." He watched her nod her head ridgidly with out a second thought so he continued, "We've modified some things in order to keep your pain at a min-"

"Meaning more sessions?" She interrupted.

"Well yes, but we-"

"No thankyou."

Snape narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. Was she pig-headed or brave? He knew she was not dumb. "Miss Scrimgeour, it's only in your best interests that we have changed our incantations."

Pru squared her jaw and looked him in the eye, "I can endure it, keep it as is. I will not do this all year."

Her authoritative words were enough to make any other grown man cower, Snape was impressed with her. He knew that it was her higher power speaking... So he would abide by her wishes.

Draco waited for Snape's disapproval at her ridiculous request, but it never came.

"As you wish then," the Professor said.

"What?!"

Pru and Professor Snape turned to look at Draco who looked incredibly angry.

"Pru you cannot do that! I can't see you that way again, you can't-"

"Draco!" Severus stopped him. He waited a second for both teenagers full attention. "It is not your decision."

Draco bit his tongue, he knew Severus wouldn't tolerate any further discussion. He looked at Prudence who seemed to be staying calm for his sake, she smiled and lipped, "It's ok,"

"Seven o'clock this evening, my classroom."

"Yes sir," Pru told her Professor.

Draco felt the situation slipping through his fingers, he was helpless to change Pru's mind. So he blurted, "May I come as well?"

Severus stared at him a moment through slitted eyes, probably branding him a love sick fool, but Draco didn't care.

"If she doesn't mind," he finally said.

.

Pru wasn't sure what to say to Draco once they were in the hall. It was one thing to push the pain away alone, but while Draco was watching her?

Draco did not like her silence, or her knitted brows. Maybe she didn't want him there...

"No, I do."

"What?"

"What?"

They stopped in their tracks to look at one another. Did she just read his mind?

Pru did read his mind, but not on purpose. It was just one of those magic quirks she had that sometimes just happened... Oh Merlin. It wasn't a 'quirk' it's one of her Goddess powers... This was going to get complicated. She had been able to keep it a secret so far, others didn't exactly need to know that she sometimes heard their thoughts...

He was looking at her skeptically making Pru growl in annoyance, mostly with herself, "I didn't mean to!"

"Did you just read my mind?" He asked slowly.

"Not on purpose I swear," She was exasperated. What an inconvenient time to add something else to her plate.

All Draco could think now was fuck! He could not have her reading his mind...his dirty uninhibited thoughts...

She didn't like his frozen look of horror, but it was still cute. She tried to smile as innocent as possible, "I won't do it again, sometimes I just can't control it..."

Her batted eyes and rosy cheeks were more than enough to make his stress pass, "That wasn't legilimency was it?"

"...No..." she replied with a tight smile, hoping not to scare him away.

But he just nodded and accepted that it was probable that he would keep on being surprised by her capabilities.

Pru watched the acceptance wash over him then told him, "I want you to be there Draco. I just... I don't want you to see me weak again..." She hated being vulnerable, it was hard to put on display. Maybe he would give her strength though.

Draco cupped her jaw, not giving two shits how very late they were for class now, "You're not weak, you're the strongest person I've ever met." He gave her an admiring smirk and a light kiss, "Now come on, " he told her as he grabbed her hand and began walking, "We're proper late now."
