Chapter 11

Freya pulled one ship from the blockade of Weselton and added it to one ship in her current fleet, to blockade Lukens Island. The remaining ship, and approximately 100 soldiers remained for the attack on Arendelle. Because of these scant numbers, Freya would use a different tactic to take over Arendelle.

At the same time, King Ulf of Dolencia was talking to his Prime Minister.

"It is time for me to claim a proper bride!" stated Ulf haughtily.

"As you wish, sire! Shall I assemble all of the eligible maidens in Dolencia for you to chose?" asked the Prime Minister.

"MAIDENS OF DOLENCIA?" said Ulf, raising his voice. "I am KING ULF! I should have nothing short of a QUEEN as my bride!"

"Where can we find someone worthy of you, sire?"

"I have heard of a queen in the nation of Arendelle, Elsa by name. She is supposed to have some type of extraordinary power; certainly someone worthy of someone as magnificent as me!

"Prepare my Royal Ship for a journey to Arendelle. I will inform Elsa that she is the lucky queen I have chosen to be my bride!"

"At once, sire!"

The Dolencia ship arrived the very next day in Arendelle, early Friday morning. Ulf and his entourage made a grand debarking and informed the Harbor master that he demanded an audience with Elsa.

"Your, Grace, I will inform Kai of your urgent request."

"You just DO that! I am King Ulf! Do not keep me waiting!"

The Harbor Master informed Kai that Ulf demanded an audience with the Queen. He also told him, he was a quite pompous individual. Kai went to Elsa, just before she was going to visit the Carpentry Guild.

"Excuse me, your highness."

Elsa said friendly, "Why so formal, Kai? What's up?"

"Elsa, a certain King Ulf of Dolencia 'demands' an audience with you."

Elsa raised her eyebrows, " 'Demands'?" She thought for a moment and said, "Very well, I'll see him, but here in MY Throne Room! I will not go to the docks to meet him!"

"As you wish, Elsa," said Kai as he went to deliver his message to King Ulf.

At the docks, Kai approached the King with his message.

"Your Majesty? Queen Elsa agrees to meet you…" Kai started.

"Well, WHERE is she?" King Ulf boomed.

"I was going to say, sire, that Queen Elsa agrees to meet with you in her Throne Room!"

"SHE expects ME to go to HER Throne Room to meet with her?" Ulf thundered.

"That's right, your Majesty. Of course, if that is not acceptable, the Queen thanks you for visiting Arendelle, and wishes you a pleasant voyage back to Dolencia," Kai said with a smile.

Ulf was fit to be tied, but his Prime Minister interceded.

"Sire, it is customary for a suitor to visit the object of his affection. She shows that she is a queen worthy of you by demanding that you follow the normal rules of courting."

Ulf thought for a moment, and slowly started to cool down. His Prime Minister was right. If Elsa were to give in to his demands immediately, she would show herself as being weak and not worth to be his queen.

Ulf grudgingly agreed to meet Elsa in her Throne Room, and followed Kai to the castle with his entourage.

Kai stated, at the doors into the Throne Room, "I will announce you at once!"

"Queen Elsa? I would like to present King Ulf of Dolencia, and his entourage," said Kai as he left the room. Captain Smith however, was still present; a fact that irked Ulf.

"I want to speak to you alone, Elsa!" Ulf said as he motioned toward Captain Smith.

"I'm sorry, but Captain Smith is present at all audiences and Holdings of Court. It is the law of Arendelle, so he must stay!" answered Elsa sweetly.

At this same moment, a ship entered the harbor of Arendelle. Only passengers debarked, approximately 50. Also an old woman and old man passenger debarked and walked slowly to the center of the market.

Arendelle always had approximately 50 Imperial Guards at the port, with the ability to triple that amount with but a blow on the danger horn by the Harbor Master. Obviously the castle was adequately defended as well.

The old man and woman slowly walked toward the castle.

King Ulf looked icily at Captain Smith for a few seconds, but the good Captain did not shrink under his gaze.

"Elsa! Today is your lucky day! I have chosen you, over all of the available queens and maidens to be my Queen!" Ulf said haughtily.

Elsa at first was dumbstruck by the, a, 'announcement' and the brashness with which it was delivered. She was angry, but controlled her anger as she responded to Ulf.

"Thank you, Ulf. But I must decline your offer!"

Ulf was dumbstruck. Was this woman actually turning HIM down?

Elsa continued, "If that was the extent of why you wished audience, I wish you a pleasant journey home to Dolencia. Good day!" And Elsa left the room.

Ulf was totally OUTRAGED! Elsa TURNED HIM DOWN and DISMISSED HIM? HIM?

Ulf swiftly turned in anger as he headed toward his ship. "I must find some way to punish this impudent Queen for this affront!"

The old woman who just got off the ship, said, "Sire! Don't be distressed. I can help you erase this embarrassment!"

Ulf stopped, "How could an old crone such as you help a KING like me?"

The old woman smiled. "Watch and see."

Just as the old woman said these words, Elsa and James were walking toward the Carpentry Guild. The old woman produced a wand and melted some stone a few feet in front of Elsa around a blind corner. The old man who accompanied her poured a small amount of water on the stones, making them as smooth as glass.

As soon as Elsa turned the corner, she slipped and fell, striking her head on the stone building, rendering her woozy. James hurried to help her but was intercepted by six of Freya's guards, who tackled him. The Imperial Guards began to run toward the fallen queen. The old man slipped metal shackles with asbestos encased within, on the queen's wrists and ankles.

Then Hans shouted, as he tossed off his old man disguise, "Stop! Or I will run Elsa through with my sword!"

The Imperial Guards would never do anything to put Elsa in danger. They stopped, and dropped their weapons.

Just then, Elsa, regained her senses! She quickly jumped up and made a gesture with her hands, but nothing happened! She then stomped her foot, but again nothing happened. Ludwig's information had helped Freya and Hans disarm Elsa!

Freya then addressed the people of Arendelle.

"I am Freya, Empress of Fire! I am taking control of your country! I will crown Hans as King tomorrow! Bring me the Royal Family!"

Freya didn't need anyone to bring Anna and Kristoff to her. As soon as they heard about the attack on Elsa, they both hurried to the sight of the attack.

"That's us," said Anna. "We are the only family Elsa has."

"It was wise for you to surrender yourself to me. It would be a pity for me to release my power on your sister!" said Freya, as she sent a fireball at a market stand, reducing it to ashes in a minute.

During all these proceeding, Captain Smith had been fighting to get loose, but a sharp blow to his head with a sword hilt rendered him unconscious.

"James!" Elsa cried out.

Freya smiled. She now knew that Captain Smith meant more to Elsa than as a friend or security guard. She would now break her spirit.

"King Ulf! You came here specifically to take Elsa home as your Queen. Is that not so?"

"Yes it is!" Ulf said.

"She's all yours, your highness, and here is the key to her shackles. She will know that you have the means to release her, but you can keep her powerless by keeping the key safe!"

At just this moment, Captain Smith revived. Ulf cast a haughty glance at him and then told his guards in his entourage, " Take my queen to my ship!" And the soldiers began dragging Elsa away.

Smith, Kristoff and Anna all tried to break free to help Elsa, but could not. Elsa looked forlornly back. Right at this time, Elsa realized that Captain James Smith was her true love, because her heart was breaking, as it was for losing Anna and Kristoff. Tears were clearly visible running down her cheeks. It was also at this moment, James realized that Elsa was his true love as well, because his heart was also breaking. He made a silent vow to free Elsa somehow, but how could he help her when he would be in the dungeon, and Elsa in a foreign land?
